Chapter 18 - Hidden
A year later.
Eleanor's POV
After taking a shower, I put on a gray blouse and denim jeans. I smiled as I heard a baby cry coming from the nursery room.
"My little prince is awake." I cooed, smiling as I walked in.
I took him in my arms and kissed his head, stroking his brown hair. He leaned his head against my chest as he stopped crying.
"Are you hungry, my love?" I cooed him and breathed in his scent.
"Ma...ma...ma." He babbled while playing my "R" initial pendant necklace.
It was Jane's gift when my little boy, Romeo was born. I never took it off. It was so precious for me.
After breastfeeding Romeo, I placed him beside his toys. Then I went to make breakfast for myself.
Suddenly, my phone rang. I grabbed my phone. It was Jane.
"Hi. How is my little handsome?" Jane asked cheerfully as soon as I picked up.
"Hi. He is fine. Playing with his toys." I replied, smiling.
"I missed him and my best friend. When will you return?" Jane scowled.
I took a deep sigh and sat down on the couch.
"I don't know." I mumbled.
Jane sighed. "You should forget him, Ellie." She stated sadly.
I bit my lower lip. "Jane, I forgot him. He is in the past." I murmured, looking at my son.
How could I forget him when my son resembled his father?! As my boy got older, he looked like his father more. Romeo was his father's carbon copy. Every time when I looked at my son, he reminded me about Asher. As much as I tried to forget Asher and hate him, I was not successful at it.
"Really?!" She mocked. "What is your son's middle name?" She asked sarcastically. "Asher." She added, annoyed. "I don't understand why you named your son after Asher after what he had done to you?!" She commented angrily.
I ran my hand through my hair, looking at my little boy who was playing with his toys.
"It is their family tradition, Jane. I wanted to continue it. Asher's middle name is the same with his father's name." I paused. "If we were together..." I sighed sadly. "His middle name was going to be Asher." I said gloomily.
"Oh...Ellie." Jane sighed. "Ok, but you can not stay there all your life. Your family, your company, your life are here." She said.
"I know, but now I can not. If Asher sees Romeo, he will understand that Romeo is his son. You know how much Romeo looks like him. Moreover, if paparazzi find out that we have a son, it will get worse." I said, depressed.
"I know, but how long will you hide Romeo? He will find out eventually." Jane commented.
I breathed in deeply. "I will keep my son away from him and that country as much as possible. I need to protect my son. Even if I have to stay away from New York, I will." I stated firmly.
Asher's POV
It had been a year without her. I searched Eleanor, but I couldn't find her anywhere. She disappeared like a ghost.
Does she have a boyfriend? No, she doesn't. Or... No, she could not forget me so easily.
But it had been a year. Maybe she gave someone a chance.
No. No.
Thinking of her with another man made me mad. I clenched my fist and looked at her photo on my desk. I placed her photos everywhere: in my office, in my penthouse. There were three large photos of hers hanging on the wall in my study room in the penthouse.
I had a plan in my mind. If she didn't return willingly, I would make her come back.
I was going to buy property that her father wanted. I agreed with the owner; we just needed to sign a contract. The owner was a well-known businessman. We were the partners in some project. So making him agree with my offer was not so difficult.
Her father wanted to build a luxurious mall in that place. He had even bought half of the land. But the property that I had bought, it was like the heart of that place. Without it, the project was useless. And it would be a great loss for his company. If he couldn't build this mall, his company was going bankrupt.
I grabbed my phone and left. Jason parked the car and got out of the car. He opened the door for me. I got out of the car and unbuttoned my jacket as I walked into the company. My lawyer was waiting for me with Mr. Butler and his lawyer in the conference room.
After signing the contract, we shook each other's hand. Then we left the conference room together.
In the hallway, we saw Eleanor's father, Arthur Miller. I placed my hand into my pocket, giving him an arrogant look. He gave me a dirty look as he approached us.

"Good morning, Arthur." Mr. Butler greeted him, giving him a warm smile.
"Good morning." He greeted Mr. Butler and shook his hand. "Could we talk in private?" He asked him, giving me a stone cold glare.
"Umm...If it is about the property, then you have to talk to me, not Mr. Butler." I intervened, giving him a cocky smirk.
He looked at me, puzzled. "What the hell are you talking about?" He snapped in frustration.
"I have just bought the property." I informed him, giving him a self-satisfied smirk.
His eyes widened in shock as he clenched his fist.
"What the hell this bastard is talking about?" Arthur asked Mr. Butler angrily.
"Mr. Wright is right. We signed a contract. I am sorry, Arthur. But he came with a good offer. I am sorry." Mr. Butler replied.
Arthur gritted his teeth and plunged his intimidating eyes into mine.
"How much do you want for the property?" He asked dryly.
"I don't think I should sell the property." I replied nonchalantly.
He breathed deeply. "What will you do with this property? It is useless without the lands next to it." He states.
"No, you are wrong. Your lands are useless without this property." I corrected him arrogantly. He clenched his fist. "But I can offer you partnership." I said. He gave me a questioning look. "I want to be your co-partner in this mall project." I informed.
"Never!" He snapped, frustrated.
"I advise you to think about it before refusing. Without this property, your project is a load of shit. And if you cancel the place, you will lose a lot of money." I declared, self-satisfied.
"All of these are your father's plan, isn't it?!" He snapped.
"Don't take it personally! It is just a business." I said arrogantly.
"You bastard!" He snapped, clenching his fist and wanted to hit me, but Jason caught him in time.
I shook my head, smirking and placed my hands into my pockets.
"I think it will be good if I work with your daughter, Ms. Miller in this project. It looks like we are not on the same wavelength. My secretary will inform you about a meeting. I will appreciate it if you inform your daughter. See you." I said arrogantly.
I waved my hand and left without letting Arthur say anything.
I got in my car and smiled happily. I knew when Eleanor heard about it, she would come back despite everything that had happened between us.
Soon.... We are going to meet soon, Juliet.
