Only One

A/N: I tried to publish this earlier, but it was being weird (probably because I was in school and the service is really bad)

Anyways, this is based on this tumblr post I found on instagram because it inspired me

Regina didn't know why she agreed to this. Maybe if it was just her, Neal, and Jefferson, the lunch would have been much calmer. But Killian and Walsh had somehow created a game, almost, of hitting on their waitress. Graham joined in easily and Jefferson and Neal gave in because they didn't want Killian holding it over their heads if they refused. So Regina scrolled through Instagram and tried to ignore her friends.

"One lemonade refill," the blonde waitress set the glass in front of Regina. "Is there anything else I can get for you?" She asked the question to Regina, but Killian was the one who responded.

"Your number."

The waitress frowned and feigned innocence, "Sorry, we don't serve that here. Anything else?"

After several more attempts at getting her to fall for them, the guys watched as their waitress walked away to another table where a couple was seated with their daughter.

"Do you guys even know anything about her?" Regina asked, not even bothering to hide her judgmental tone.

"Her name is Emma," Neal piped up.

"She works at Swan Point," Graham added.

Regina rolled her eyes. "No duh. But maybe she has some bad habit you hate. Maybe she picks her nose."

Walsh gasped as if Regina had purposefully offended him. "She does not!"

Regina shrugged and leaned back in her seat. "All girls do it."

Jefferson and Neal glanced at each other, trying to figure out if Regina was being sarcastic or not. Regina took a drink of her lemonade, laughing silently to herself while watching the guys' reactions.

When Emma returned to the table to drop off the check, she slipped a piece of paper to Regina and winked before walking away, ignoring Killian, who was trying to talk to her. Regina unfolded the paper and read what Emma had written;

"I'm sure your friends are all very sweet, but they're not my type. You, however, are very much my type ;)"

Underneath, a phone number was written in rushed handwriting. Regina felt her cheeks turn pink and Neal noticed.

"What is it?"

Regina handed the paper to Neal, who read it over twice before handing it back to Regina. "Wow. You know, I never would have guessed."

Regina smirked. "I knew from the beginning. I was just letting you guys have your fun."

"Knew what?" Killian asked, suddenly interested in Regina and Neal's conversation.

Regina held the note so he could read it. "WHAT?!" Killian exclaimed after he read it. "She chose you?! You weren't even part of this!"

"Well I am now." Regina winked at Killian before folding the paper back up and slipping it into her pocket. "And I beat all of you." Regina raised her glass of lemonade to her lips and allowed herself to relish in her victory for a little while.
