Author's Note: This is more of a short drabble thing than a one-shot, but I already had it written and since I've been busy, I figured I could at least publish this. Also @Twins-Witches requested Outlaw Queen.

Regina POV

Marian and Roland were across the town line already. I could tell from the look in Marian's eyes that she could no longer see Storybrooke.

"You should go," I told Robin, keeping my voice as steady as possible. "Your family is waiting." It broke me to call Marian and Roland his family, but they were what I could never be for Robin; a wife who could bear children and a child of his own.

He shot a glance back at the town line. "I suppose so."

I watched him take one step towards the town line, and then another. But before he crossed the line of faded red spray paint, he rushed back to me. His lips closed around mine. The last kiss, the last goodbye, the last time I'd smell his forest scent.

The last everything.

I squeezed my eyes shut and forced my tears back, but I couldn't block his forest scent from my nose.

Robin pulled back. "I..." I knew what he wanted to say. But it seemed too final, so I cut him off, keeping my eyes shut because it was far too painful to look at him.

"I know."

He rested his forehead against mine, and I breathed in. He still smelled like forest.

Robin pulled away, and I already felt empty without him beside me. I finally opened my eyes again and watched him as he took my hand in his and stepped back towards the town line. In one swift movement, he was gone. Gone, forever. Like ripping off a band-aid. Maybe it was less painful that way.

Or maybe I'm just fooling myself.

I don't think there was any way to make him leaving less painful that it was.

As he crossed the town line, I found myself wanting to cling to his hand. I wanted to follow him across the town line. Better yet, I wanted to wake up and find that everything since Marian coming back was just a bad dream and Robin would be there to comfort me.

But I let his hand go, and all of my hope for a happy ending with Robin with it.
