I want to paint you, but i dont know how.
How will my brush paint the stars in your eyes,
Or show how they reflect the sunlight with its hues of green and brown.
Will the stroke of my brush be able to show the ethereal beauty that shines across your face.
Or catch the carnation-pink tint that forms across your cheeks.
Will I be able to sketch the dip in your chin,
Or airbrush the crimson red of your lips.
I dont know how to mix the colours to get the perfect shade,
Of your sun kissed skin that appears like churning gold.
Of your hair, that flows like charcoal silk.
Or the freckles sprinkled across your face,
Do I use beige or brown or copper?
And so my canvas remains empty, while my palette over-flow with colours,
I cant decide which one to use,
for none of them would do your beauty justice,
That is why,
Though I want to paint you, I dont know how.
