Sky High
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed, as the swanna took off into the clear, blue sky.
I grabbed on tightly onto it feathers, closing my eyes.
"So high!" I screamed, opening one eye and looking down.
My vision doubled and swirled around as buildings and houses came into view. I closed my eyes and breathed slowly.
"How much longer Swanna?" I asked, keeping my eyes closed shut.
Swanna screeched, but I still found it difficult to understand. I huffed and waited. I focused my thought on what was actually happening. I was going on my first date. With a complete stranger. I could drop in on my parents, and maybe visit Hugo...
I carefully opened one eye, and saw Nimbasa City come into view.
"Wow Swanna, that was fast!" I yelled
"Schrrreeeeee!" She nodded.
In less than ten minutes, I was slowly getting off Swanna, and when my feet touched the farmiliar hard Nimbasa city floor, I felt ready to cry with joy. I turned to face Swanna, who was busy preening her wings.
"Thank you!" I bowed.
"Schree!" Which I had assumed meant I'll wait right here.
I looked around and noticed that we landed right in my street, only a few houses away from my own. Without even questioning how Swanna had known where I lived, I began to walk to my house, every so often pulling my dress down as I walked. I knocked at my door. Within seconds, it was flung open by my grandmas smiling face and my parents at the table.
"Granny!" I yelled in surprise, wrapping my arms around her.
My grandma laughed. My parents looked at the door, and realising it was me they sprinted over.
"Rosa! What are you doing home!? And looking like that?!" My mother exclaimed.
"Oh shush dear, she looks beautiful." My grandma slapped my mums hand.
"Well, did you get the part Hun?" My dad asked, a bright sparkle in his eyes.
I cringed. What could I have said?
"We don't know yet, but I think so." I lied.
My father beamed, with the proudest light I have ever seen from him. I made my way to the lounge room, and settled on the couch. My dad went to fetch me some tea, and my grandma had mysteriously disappeared. My mum sat down next to me, and stared at my face.
"Ur mum, your making me feel uncomfortable." I said, pushing her face away.
"Sorry Hun, I'm just admiring the makeup handy Work! Was this Fluffys?" My mum questioned. "Even so, you should probably visit Hugo."
My heart squirmed. I had completely forgotten. I saw my grandma come in with a box, and my dad with a cup of tea. He placed it gently in my hands. My grandma sat in the chair opposite me, and handed me the box.
"What's this for?" I asked, slowly opening the lid.
The box contained a beautiful golden ring, with a stone planted right in the middle, shining in rainbow colours. Right next to it lay a cream scarf with the same sort of stone clipped on the end, but instead shining in golden colours.
"The ring is for you, and the scarf for Fluffy. Your grandpa left it to you." My grandma smiled.
I slipped on the gorgeous ring, and admired its shine. I popped the scarf in my bag, carefully folded. The stone seemed to smile at me.

After a while talking to my family, I finally found myself at Hugo's house. I took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. Hugo's mum answered, and stared at me for a while, before something seemed to click.
"Oh Rosa, its you! I could barely tell with the new makeover!" She laughed.
I smiled politely.
"Is Hugo home?" I asked.
"Sorry Hun, he's out right now." She smiled.
I breathed a sigh of relief. At least I won't have to deal with him.

I admired the shining ring on my finger as I walked past me and Fluffys favourite spot. It fitted on my finger so perfectly. As the dumb person I am, I didn't look up at all, bumping into a man with green hair.
"Oooof!" Was the embarrassing noise that came out of my mouth as the man and I fell to the ground right in front of the Ferris wheel.
I looked at him, and he looked at me, before scurrying to his feet and waving his hands in front of his face.
"I'm not you think I am!" He exclaimed.
I stared at him with a perplexed look. I had no idea who this guy was. He had short blonde hair with green tips, that curled down to his ear. A black and green hat, and a black long sleeve with a black and green poofy jumper over the top. His legs were covered with a thick looking grey tracksuit, and his black and green sneakers shone with a new look, as if it had never been touched. His eyes were a familiar shade of beautiful green, with pale skin. He was kinda cute. I quickly looked away to cover up my staring.
"Um I don't know who you are." I added carefully.
He suddenly stopped panicking, a his face turned red, obviously flustered. He offered his hand to me. I stared at it, until I realised it was to help me up. I grabbed it, and hauled myself.
"I'm er, Curtis!" He introduced himself.
He looked so familiar.
"I'm Rosa." I smiled.
A shocked look quickly crossed his face.
"I ur, didn't expect you to look like this, actually around my age, and so um..." He shut his eyes.
I frowned. Was I not what he expected? Not good enough? I huffed. It didn't matter what he thought. I fished his xtransciever out of my bag and handed it to him.
"Here." I said.
He opened his eyes, and took it.
"Would it be okay if I used your xtransciever number and um, called you sometimes?" He asked cautiously.
I blushed in surprise. Nobody had ever asked for my number, let alone a boy.
"Um sure." I said.
"It's great to finally meet you by the way!" He smiled.
I nodded. I was relieved that he wasn't a psycho killer.
"ROSA IS THAT YOU?!" I heard someone yell.
I turned to see the face of a smiling old lady at the theme park entrance.
"Hi Miss Trumble!" I yelled back.
Miss Trumble was my old teacher, you had a pet Lilipup named Daffodil, who was no surprise right next to her. As soon as Daffodil saw me, she ran with incredible speed straight for me. She banged right into my stomach, knocking me into Curtis, both of us falling to the floor. I found myself laying on top of Curtis, my face so close to his. He blushed. I blushed.
"Daffodil! Sorry Hun, sorry to inturupt, I'll see you later!" She yelled, walking quickly away with Daffodil at her heels.
"I am so sorry!" I apologised.
Curtis's cheeks puffed up, not long after he started to laugh covering his face with his hands.
"Rosa." I heard a rough voice behind me.
I got off of Curtis, as quick as possible and turned to be face to face with Hugo, his eyes full of anger.
"Who is this guy." He asked calmly.
His anger made me panic.
"Um..."
"Curtis." Curtis introduced, no longer on the floor.
His hand was extended to shake Hugo. Hugo didn't shake it. He only stared at it with disgust.
"I don't trust this guy. I don't think you should either." He said coldly.
"You must have trust issues. I assure you, I'm not that bad when you get to know me." Curtis said, trying to lighten the mood.
It didn't work.
"Have you been watching me?!" I ask Hugo, suddenly angered.
Hugo blushed.
"I was keeping an eye out." He said defensively.
"That creepy." Curtis interjected.
"Rosa, you know nothing about this guy, how do you know he isin't a part of team rocket, or even worse, a part of team plasma? Or team skull or..." Hugo started.
"Hey buddy back off. I don't trust you and I don't like the tone your using towards Rosa." Curtis coldly put out.
Curtis smiled down at me, and I could feel my face burning. The anger in Hugo's eyes turned into pure hatred.
"Pokemon battle. Now." Hugo spat.
"What?!" I asked in surprise.
Hugo ignored me.
"Because your pissing me off! I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle? Or are you scared?" He growled.
Curtis hesitated.
"Fine." He finally concluded.
"Hey, Hugo you can't solve anything with violence, and Curtis you don't have to..." I was intrupted by Curtis.
"It's okay Rosa, this will be the most memorable kind of first Pokemon battle I could ever ask for." He smiled confidently.
His first Pokemon battle?!
