The King and Queen, Jackson and Gail and Bella and Carter were sitting outside. The inside... well.... It wasn't exactly liveable at the moment. After Elliot's destruction, Jackson decided to move the group outside, under the light of the full moon.

"How do you think Elliot is doing?" The Queen asked her mate, eyes shining with worry. The King merely shrugged, more distracted at the trouble his youngest was going through.

Lorraine had locked herself into the same room the hunter had been in only hours ago; even the soundproof walls couldn't trap her cries of pain. Gail had bravely recommended that they leave her to mourn and move outside, which Jackson immediately supported.

Now, they all waited in suspense.

Jackson stroked the back of Gail's hand in comfort. The human was definitely shaken up by the amount of fights that had progressed throughout the day. Jack had told her that it had only been last night that they had managed to rescue her, and there had already been enough drama to last them a lifetime.

Just as Carter was about to ask Bella how she was going, they all heard the voices of Elliot and Silver. All six people turned their heads to see the smiling couple walking out towards them.

And it seems Silver got a bit of a make-over.

Elliot smiled down at his beautiful mate, who had decided to sort out her appearance before coming down to officially meet her, and Elliot's, family. After the first shower in 16 years, it had taken an hour to brush out the knots in her long blonde locks, but nonetheless, it was left in a static curtain of light gold over her bony back. She re-wore the white dress that covered her after shifting, for she currently had nothing else to wear. Seraphina had smoothed down her de-knotted hair, knowing that nothing else could be done. Her pale cheeks, her scarred complexion and also the dark bags under her eyes prevented her from feeling any sort of beautiful.

Elliot, however, showered her in compliments to make up for it.

She smiled up at her mate, her long smooth hair blowing in the wind, revealing her neck to the audience outside. An audible gasp was heard from the Queen, and Bella beamed at the reveal.

On the Lady's neck was a single mark. One which was received after the marking process; the seal of the mating bond. Running from behind her ear and ending at the ball of the shoulder, was a silver line. It was adorned with a single ring, shaped and coloured like the moon. It rested on the base of her neck, exactly half way on the silver line. It glimmered in the full moon, shining like a scar.

"You're marked?!" Queen Zara blurted out, forgetting her manners. Bella snickered at the interruption, silenced by Carter placing his hand in hers.

"Yes Mother, I marked her. She is my mate." Elliot explained, slightly annoyed at the interruption. The Queen blanched back at his annoyed tone, but still smiled at her new daughter-in-mate. Walking forward, she approached her son's mate.

"I'm Queen Zara, but you can call me Mother if you desire." She introduced, before leaning in for a hug. Seraphina immediately retreated a few steps, out of reach from her mother-in-mate. Queen Zara's blue eyes flashed with offense, and drew herself back from her daughter. Before she spoke of her rudeness, Elliot spoke.

"She can't touch you Mother." Elliot guarded, placing a comforting hand on her waist. The blonde shivered at the touch, but kept her gaze on the Queen.

"What do you mean, she can't touch me??" She blurted, demanding an answer.

"He means, Zara, that you cannot touch me." Seraphina said, her defiance shining in her pale blue eyes.

"How dare you-"

"My name," She interrupted, staring at those around her. "Is Lady Seraphina Moon, daughter of Lord Alastair and Lady Maude; the last Priestess of the Moon and Lady of the Wolves. I am the last of the Moon Pack."

Silence; you could hear the creaking of the beds that the Silver Pack slept on.

"B-But that's.... How?!" The Queen breathed, stumbling away from her. The King quickly caught his mate, staring at Seraphina in shock.

"You should be dead." The King whispered, but his statement erupted a vicious growl from his son. Elliot dragged Seraphina to him, holding her close. Breathing in her delicate scent, he tried to calm his raging beast.

"I would be, no thanks to you." She snarled, glaring at her parents-in-mate. "When Meredith kidnapped Elliot and I at a young age, your wolves only saved your son. They left me to another year of imprisonment; filled with experimentations and torture."

The King and Queen of Wolves seemed paralysed in guilt, their hearts oozing the deadly emotion. Bella ran forward, teary eyed, and hugged her adoptive sister.

Seraphina didn't get away in time.

Bella screamed in pain, ripping herself from Seraphina's touch. She collapsed on the ground in front of her, Carter immediately rushing to her side. Tears spilled from Bella's eyes as the pain echoed throughout her chest, arms and the side of her neck. The skin that touched Silver was blistered and red, the smell of burnt flesh entering the sensitive noses of those around them.

Seraphina clung to Elliot in sadness, tears spilling from her eyes at the sight of Bella writhing in pain. Gail struggled to reach her daughter but Jackson held her back. Carter merely held Bella close, their mate bond speeding up the slow process of healing silver burns.

"Do you see now?!" Elliot growled, hugging his crying mate. "Your wolves left my mate, my Seraphina, in the vampire abattoir, and now she can't touch any werewolf besides me. Their experimentation on me, which lasted one week, allowed me to touch silver. I'm the only one who can touch her, no thanks to you."

Gail, looking from her daughter to her mate's future Queen, she made up her choice. Ripping herself out of Jackson's vice grip, she launched herself at Seraphina, embracing her in a hug. Elliot was pushed away from his mate at the mere force of Gail's entrapment of his mate, and he looked at the two of them in shock.

Gail was hugging Seraphina.

Jackson smiled at his mate, walking a little closer to her. "Gail's human. She can touch silver anyway." He explained, as Seraphina broke down.

"I know that feeling: loneliness." Gail whispered in her ear. "I had no one to hug me, but you have two people. Take advantage of that; you're not alone anymore."

Seraphina slowly wrapped her contaminated arms around Gail's fragile body, hugging her back. She buried her head into Gail's neck, her dark brown locks tickling her nose.

Jackson approached a shocked Elliot, a small smile appearing on both of their faces. "I guess we both found what we were looking for."

The Crown Prince looked at his cousin with a smile, both of their eyes shining with the love for their mates. "Yes cousin, we did." Elliot replied, staring at his beautiful mate. She had removed herself from Gail's warm embrace, her blue eyes glowing like the full moon above them. Bella rested in Carter's arms, her wounds fully healed after the constant contact with her mate. She smiled at her sister, and connected to her through their mind link.

If you don't mind, I'm going to keep calling you Silver.  Bella thought, as Seraphina locked eyes with her healed sister. After 6 years, it's kind of stuck.

A chuckle erupted from the Priestess of the Moon, and she wiped the tears from her eyes. After being stuck in a zoo for over a decade, Seraphina was finally seeing what life was meant for; happiness, family, and more importantly, love.

Of course, dear sister. Seraphina whispered back into her mind, before hugging Gail once again. Jackson watched on as Gail hugged Seraphina back tightly. Looking from his future Queen, to his future wife, a pure smile of love and joy spread on his face.

"Who knew what was behind closed gates..." Jackson whispered to his cousin, looking up at his towering figure. Elliot smiled at the irony. Gazing lovingly at his beautiful mate, he saw the trapped spark in her eyes finally released. Her eyes glowed as though the sun was shining behind them, her light hair shining in the moon's white rays. A full-blown smile was upon her freckled face as she looked at Elliot. Their opposite eyes; ones of the moon and ones of the sea, locked. Their connection; nothing could break it now. No zoo's, no vampires, not even the human police who were currently searching for them both. Their lives, they were just beginning.

"Who knew indeed..."
