Chapter Thirteen
Hey, i'm uploading the next chapter now because i'm feeling better :)
What happened was, I suffered an extremely severe migraine for about three hours, and i had to call an ambulance for myself when i was home alone. There's nothing scarier than hearing those sirens and knowing they're coming for you! I do hope no one is in that situation, because i was so afraid.
Anyway, i am okay now, but i'm uploading and writing a lot because i can't actually listen to any sort of music but my own voice without me getting a headache. Weird huh?
Hope all is well in your lives!

Lorraine was happy. She lay in the arms of her mate, her Jasper, but she couldn't help but be confused. She was happy, beyond happy. On cloud nine, and Thalia was not speaking to her. She could feel an emotion coming from her, but it wasn't happiness. More on the opposite end of the spectrum; it seemed like anger or hatred.
Lorraine sighed, leaning her head against Jasper's shoulder. "What's wrong babe?" He asked. Lorraine's heart fluttered at her pet name, and looked up at Jasper. "It's Thalia. I just can't help but feel she isn't happy with me." She admitted.
Jasper stroked a stray lock of brown hair out of her face, gazing into her beautiful brown eyes. "She doesn't have her mate. Maybe she's jealous?" He offered.
Lorraine frowned. She's probably jealous of the fact that I can actually be my mate. "Yeah, you're probably right Jasper. Should I go and talk to her?"
Jasper nodded, letting her go from his embrace. She immediately missed the warmth, but she had to go and stop this tension between her and her twin. "Go on, I'll be right here." Jasper said.
An idea suddenly came to Lorraine, and she beamed at her mate. "After 5 minutes, come and find me. I'll introduce you properly."
Jasper's eyes widened. "Are you sure? I mean, we have only known each other for a week." He said, sitting up carefully.
Lorraine waved her hand, dismissing his worries. "I am absolutely sure. Come find me in 5 minutes." She ordered, before running through the pack house. Lorraine ran through so many corridors, passing by many bowing wolves, before she picked up Thalia's scent. It was the scent of caramel slice, while hers was vanilla slice; they weren't hard to pick up.
Lorraine ran past the kitchen, the smell of delicious cake halting her sprint. She quickly dived back into the kitchen, and grabbed two cupcakes before running after Thalia's scent again. Her hair whipped around her head as she turned left and right constantly, before ending up in one of the higher rooms, finally pulling her to a stop outside a normal door. She could smell Thalia inside, and smiled to herself.
Knocking, she held her breath for an answer.
"Who is it?" Thalia's voice ran out.
Lorraine smiled hesitantly. "It's Lorraine."
Silence was her only answer. "Can I come in?" Lorraine asked, leaning her head against the door.
"What's the password?" Thalia joked.
"I brought chocolate cupcakes." Lorraine replied, holding them up at the door. Almost immediately, the door opened, revealing a smiling Thalia. She grabbed the one on the left with no hesitation, and bit into it immediately. Lorraine smiled, before biting the last one herself.
"Thanks Lora." Thalia said, using her twin's nickname.
"You're welcome Lia." Lorraine said, before looking at her sister carefully. Her hair was done in a high pony tail, the odd strand shaping her face. Their dark eyes locked with each other, and Thalia's expression changed.
"You want something." Thalia stated immediately. She could always read the emotion displayed on Lorraine's face, and it helped her a lot when it came to deciphering what she wanted.
Lorraine sighed. "Can I come in?"
Thalia hesitated, before opening the door fully, and walking into the room she was in. Lorraine gasped at what she saw.
The room was an old storage room, changed into Thalia's own little getaway spot. It was the tallest room in the pack house, the dirty windows letting in streams of fresh light. The ceiling rose to the highest peak, showing that they were just under the roof. The room was littered with old canvases, some even with paintings on. Cobwebs hung in the corners of the room, dust littering the old tables around the room, but the fresh footprints on the floor gave away signs of use. It looked centuries old, and Lorraine noticed some paintings that were quite recent. They were paintings of wolves; each canvas a different pack. Her breath was caught in her throat when she saw the Royal pack, seeing her sister, brother, parents, and even herself. She noticed the canvas of the Moon pack, which was wiped out years ago, the thick layer of dust covering the coats of the wolves.
"You can paint?" Lorraine asked, surprised.
Thalia laughed. "No, I was exploring and I found this. I just come up here when I need a break from everything."
Lorraine sighed, before sitting on an old suitcase. It creaked under her weight, but it held. "Thalia, what's going on? Ever since I found Jasper you've been avoiding me."
Thalia stiffened at the mention of Jasper, and Lorraine could feel a surge of pure anger threw their bond before Thalia shut it out. She took a deep breath, before turning around to face her sister.
"Why are you angry Thalia?" Lorraine asked, frowning. "I thought you'd be happy."
Thalia looked down. "It hurts to have a mate Lorraine. I don't want you to be hurt." She whispered. She wasn't lying, but she wasn't saying the entire truth. Lorraine wouldn't believe her if she said what Jasper's intentions were.
Lorraine's eyes softened briefly, but hardened a fraction. "I know in some cases Thalia that having a mate hurts, like in your case, but I know that Jasper and I are one of the lucky ones. He won't hurt me, and nor I him."
Thalia's fists clenched, but as she was about to open her mouth, someone knocked on the door. Lorraine immediately smiled as the faint scent of her mate wafted under the door.
"You brought him here?!" Thalia whispered harshly.
Lorraine rolled her eyes. "I'll introduce you outside." She whispered back, before dragging herself and her twin outside to meet Jasper. He stood there, in Lorraine's eyes, perfectly. However, in Thalia's eyes, his eyes portrayed an emotion that was neither love nor worry. It was boredom.
"Lorraine-"
"Jasper, I would like you to meet my twin sister, Thalia." Lorraine interrupted, causing Jasper to snap his eyes to her sister. Thalia had her chin raised in defiance, and he knew that she didn't like him, not that the anger in the eyes gave it away.
"Nice to officially meet you." Jasper said, holding his hand out. "I've heard a lot about you from Lorraine."
Thalia looked down at his hand, before raising an eyebrow at him. She reached out, and shook his hand fiercely, while glaring at him. "Nice to meet you as well, Jasper. I haven't heard anything about you from Lorraine."
Lorraine gasped, turning to her sister in shock. She hadn't heard so much hatred before, Thalia was usually the quiet one. "Thalia!" She yelled, glaring at her.
Thalia shrugged her shoulders. "I've heard a lot of things from other pack members' though." She threatened, raising an eyebrow at Jasper.
Jasper looked taken back at the declaration, but Lorraine looked furious. "Thalia, that's enough. I'll tell Mother and Father about your ridiculous behaviour, but for now, you and Jasper are going to talk in private." Lorraine snapped, too angry to think about what she had just ordered of them. She stormed down the corridors again, but Thalia was angrier than her.
"Listen here you lying mutt," Thalia snapped, poking Jasper hard in the chest. "I know that you are only using Lorraine for a lay, I know you don't love her, so I suggest you think carefully before you get assigned your death wish."
Jasper looked stunned briefly, before smirking. "The only wish that will be granted, Thalia Griffin, is yours." He snapped, before storming after Lorraine.
Thalia stood frozen, her eyes darting back and forth. Her mouth hung open, but no words came out of her mouth. He knows about Elijah. He knows... He knows.... He knows. She thought over and over again, before her legs started to move. She sprinted away from the old art room, and down the many floors of the pack house. She ran past so many wolves she lost count, before she charged out of the house, and towards the forest. Just as she was about to hit the tree-line, she was tackled by a dark brown wolf, with a golden tipped tail. They shifted back to their human form, revealing a naked Bella.
"Thalia, what's wrong?" She asked, covering her assets from the watching guards. Thalia was still in shock, but her wolf pushed forward and spoke.
"That disgraceful being, knows the identity of our mate!" Thalia roared, making Bella jump. She had seen this anger before, when Thalia and Elliot were fighting over her mate when they found out about Dr Griffin.
Bella frowned, snarling lowly. "Jasper's blackmailing you?" She whispered quietly, and Thalia snarled so loudly, the long distance guards trembled at her anger.
Bella looked from the guards to the forest, and placed a hand on Thalia's shaking shoulder. "Go to him." She ordered, and Thalia immediately shifted. Thalia's golden wolf shone in the setting sun, and Bella shifted into her dark brown wolf just in time to chase the sprinting Thalia as she ran to her mate. Bella struggled to keep up, but she could easily spot Thalia with her bright coat. The trees whizzed past Thalia, but her entire body was driven to finding out if her mate was safe. The only wish that will be granted, Thalia Griffin, is yours. Her only wish was to be with her mate, no matter the costs. If Jasper planned on killing them both...
She growled ferociously as she powered through, her claws digging in sharply to the dry ground. Bella pushed herself to the limits to keep up with the fiery blonde, but she was tiring quickly. Just as she was about to stop, Thalia halted. Bella immediately crashed into her from the side, making them both roll. Thalia snarled at Bella, and she leapt off, giving her some space. She was about to move forward, when the sound of a gun made her freeze.
"I wouldn't do that, mutt." A man snapped, and Bella growled, turning to face him. He was tall, around 6ft 3, with dark brown hair and emotionless green eyes. He glared at the brown wolf, before angling his head so he could see the blonde wolf.
"You okay?" He asked, and stumbled as the blonde wolf charged him, tackling him to the ground. Thalia immediately started to lick his face, making him smile slightly. Bella watched confused, before she shifted into her human form. The male immediately shifted his gaze to the blonde wolf, giving Bella some privacy.
"You're Thalia's mate?" She asked, double checking.
The man smiled, stroking the blonde wolf's cheek. "I always wanted to see your wolf." He admitted, making the wolf purr.
Bella carefully laid down on her stomach, her hands under her chin so he couldn't see anything. "Her wolf is partially in control at the moment, so you need to stay close to her." Bella explained, making the man frown.
"Why is her wolf in control? I thought only dire situations brought a wolf forward." He asked, looking at her carefully. He kept his gaze on her greenish eyes, noting how she had covered herself.
Bella raised an eyebrow. "What's your name?" She asked, making the man frown.
"You're officially sworn to secrecy by Thalia and I once I say my name." He ordered, making Bella frown.
"I swear I won't speak a word." Bella vowed, before the man turned to Thalia again. He brought his hands up and scratched behind her ears.
"Elijah Griffin, leader of the Hunters, and murderer of half of your pack." He said, looking her in the eye in challenge. When he saw Bella's hard gaze, his hand immediately reached for his gun.
"Relax, I care not for your blood nor my so called pack." Bella snarled, making Elijah frown.
"Why are you pissed then?" Elijah asked, raising an eyebrow.
Thalia immediately shifted, to which Elijah's eyes widened. He immediately removed his large coat, draping it around the Princess.
"Elijah, Bella here is a runaway of the Silver pack. She left when they left a trapped wolf." Thalia said, keeping her hold on her mate. She ran a hand through his hair, before turning to Bella. "I am trusting you not to say anything, Bella."
Bella immediately bowed her head, which was difficult in the position she was in. "I vowed not to say a word Bella, and I will not. I am not angry at him, but his brother."
Elijah bolted upright, making Thalia yelp at the repositioning of her body.
"What do you want with Zach?" He asked, his voice deadly low.
Bella glared at him. "He stole something from a dear friend of mine, and she wants it back."
Elijah frowned. "I didn't know she was part of a pack."
Bella's eyes softened slightly. "She hasn't been for a while now, but that's not the point. He stole her blood, and she's out for it."
Elijah frowned, thinking back to the conversation he had on the phone with Zach. "He said it would help Thalia and I, said it could allow us to be together."
Thalia looked up at him shocked. "The only way for us to be together is if the hunters are revoked, or I abdicate my line to the throne. I can't do that without the whole pack finding out, and that will put us on the run."
Bella took a deep breath, before staring at the forbidden mates. They wanted to be together, they wanted to be happy.
"I can ask a friend about your situation, she may know what to do." Bella said, "But only with your permission."
Elijah immediately shook his head, but Thalia placed a hand on his chest. "Is this the same friend who wants her blood back?" Thalia asked, coding it so Elijah couldn't understand. There was stuff they could say, but they didn't tell each other everything just yet.
"Yes, and she can't say anything to anyone but me. She's trapped in her wolf form and only I can hear her." Bella said, pointing to the insignia on her shoulder.
Elijah looked like he swallowed a bee. "She's your mate?!" He asked, shocked.
Bella laughed. "No, she's my bonded sister."
Elijah's mouth turned into a doughnut, making Thalia laugh, and Bella soon joined in. Elijah blushed at the laughter, before his radio crackled.
Jaguar to Lion, Jaguar to Lion. Come in Lion, Jaguar to Lion.
Elijah picked up his radio, placing a finger to his lips at Bella and Thalia. Lion to Jaguar, go.
Lion, Mosquitos have bitten the Panthers. Need fly swatters.
Elijah stiffened, before Thalia moved so he could stand. How may Panthers bitten Jaguar?
Over half, Lion. Need Fly Swatters ASAP.
Copy that, retrieving now. Elijah finalised, before looking to Thalia and Bella. "You need to go. Now. And quickly, Vampires are close."
Bella snarled, and leapt up. Not bothering with modesty, she grabbed Thalia's arm, and started to drag her to the woods. Thalia looked back at her mate, and held her hand out. "Stay safe, and contact me."
Elijah smiled, and outstretched his own hand back. "I wouldn't miss it."
Thalia smiled, her eyes watery, before she and Bella shifted back into their wolf forms and ran as fast as they could back to the pack house.
Half way, however, Thalia pulled Bella to a stop. She shifted, leaning against a tree. "Bella, you can't tell anyone, not even Carter, about Elijah, okay?"
Bella shifted back, and crouched before her friend. "Thalia, I promise I will not. I vow, on my parents graves." She vowed, before looking at her carefully. "What did Jasper say to you?"
Thalia's jaw clenched before repeating the dreaded words. "He said, 'The only wish that will be granted, Thalia Griffin, is yours.'"
Bella snarled, before slumping against another tree. "This isn't like Jasper, he isn't one to go to the extremes just to get a girl."
Thalia glared at Bella. "But if this said girl is a Princess, the third heir to the throne of the Wolves, how far would you go to sleep with her?"
Bella sighed, fiddling with her fingers. "You have a point, but it doesn't seem like Jasper."
Thalia slouched, before standing. "I don't care who he was before. He is going to hurt my twin sister, and I'll be dead before that happens."
Bella looked up at Princess Thalia before nodding. "You and Elijah are a good couple, have good hearts." Bella said, making Thalia snap her eyes to her. "I'll speak to Silver, she may have a solution for you."
Thalia's eyes watered, and she rapidly blinked to push them away. "Oh thank you Bella."
Bella smiled, before standing as well. "I can't promise anything though, but I will speak to her."
Thalia smiled, wiping a stray tear. "Doesn't matter if it's a promise or not; It's a chance, and I'm willing to take it."
A little bit more of Elijah there. :) And I really don't like Jasper! -___-
