2014

He was there.

Yes, she went to the woods but she didn't actually expect him to be there after he ran away from her three years ago.

She just stared at him sitting down on their little spot under a tree from a distance. He was scribbling down a journal on his lap with a pen in his right hand, all the while his brows were creased in concentration. She didn't know how to approach him. Heck, she didn't know if he wanted her there, let alone expecting her.

She wanted to know, though.

So she stepped forward, accidentally stepping on a twig causing it to make a snapping noise that made him look up.

His eyes widened.

She retreated and took a step back. She took his reaction as fear so a pang of hurt shot through her. She swallowed the lump forming in her throat. She shook her head and turned around, "I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't be here--" she was about to use her vampire speed to get out of there but he was quick to stand up and take her wrist.

"No, no, no," he turned her around, "I was just surprised you actually...came back."

She'd always come back if he wanted her to, she thought. She just nodded her head and didn't speak a word.

He sighed before tugging her towards their spot and sitting down, pulling her down to do the same. He closed his journal and put it aside before looking at her, "I'm sorry," he apologized looking remorseful.

She shook her head, "It's okay," weakly smiling, "It's not that I did not expect you to run away. I mean, who wouldn't?"

He frowned, "No. I shouldn't have. You're my friend, and besides, you haven't done anything to make me do what I did. I'm sorry, forgive me?"

He looked at her with those big green eyes making a fuzzy feeling bubble up her chest and she knew she was done for.

"I already have, Harold," she said, ruffling his curly hair.

He beamed at her before he picked up the journal and pen beside him and started scribbling again. She was wondering what that what but she didn't want to intrude if it was something personal so she did her best not to peek. She used the time to admire his features, like what she always did. His brows were creased as he glared down on the paper while writing down in concentration. His plump lips were forming a pout as he wrote and his tongue darting out absently to wet those pink lips. On his head was a scarf, which practically looked like a ragged cloth, to use as a headband so his hair wouldn't get on his pretty face. He had gotten so tall, she thought while looking at his long legs that were stretched out as he sat on the ground and recalled how he towered over her just a while ago.

She wondered how someone could be that beautiful.

"Have you gotten yourself a girl, Harry?" she couldn't help but ask.

"Like a...girlfriend?" he asked after he stopped writing once again.

"Yes. A girlfriend."

"Yes," he blushed.

Although he looked so cute and innocent getting flushed at the mention of a girlfriend, she couldn't help the ill feeling in her stomach as soon as she heard him.

"Oh," was all she could manage to say.

"It was before though! Just one girl! And we didn't last for too long!" he rushed out almost like he knew what she felt, "Just, just a couple of weeks."

She raised a brow in amusement despite what she felt. He was twenty but he was still acting like a kid. She couldn't say she didn't like it though.

"You've gotten your first kiss, then?"

He looked at her weirdly, "Yes."

"Was it a peck or did you guys snogged?"

He squirmed, flushing, "Um, we, uh snogged."

She smirked decided to make the boy even more flustered, "What about sex?"

His eyes widened, "W-what about it?"

"Are you a virgin, Harry?" she rephrased the question.

He looked down, fiddling with his hands before quietly speaking, "Y-yes."

He looked so young in that moment, so small and so soft. She ruffled his curls once again, "No need to be embarassed," she spoke softly cooing at him, "My innocent little boy."

She didn't have time to process it but one second she was sitting on the ground beside him, the next she found herself on his lap with his face burried on her neck in embarassment.

The fact that she called him hers completely forgotten. Or maybe they hadn't. They just wouldn't address it.

She squeaked a little and her eyes widened in surprise. Well that escalated quickly.

"I'm not little; I'm taller than you now," he spoke, his lips brushing on her skin making her shiver, "And I'm not innocent either."

She laughed, "Yes, you're taller than me but still, you're innocent."

He picked his head up and pouted at her, "Am not."

She laughed because that cute little pout just proved her point, "Don't worry. It's not a bad thing. I quite like it."

His face lit up, "You do?"

"What a kiddo," she chuckled, "Yes, Harold. Yes, I do. Now, let me get off of you."

She sat down beside him once again.

He charmingly smiled at her before a thought dawned on him, "Say, did you come here two years ago on the first of February?"

She stilled at that particular question, "W-why are you asking?"

"It was probably just my mind playing tricks on me, but I think I saw you in that bakery I work in when my sister dropped me off."

"Sister?" she furrowed her brows. Was it possible that the girl he was talking about is....

"My sister, Gemma. Haven't I told you of her before? She's cool! She dyed her hair purple before," he smiled.

"Gemma with the purple hair. Right."

Ofcourse it was her sister, how stupid could she be?

"That person I thought was you, she ran off so I ran after her. I lost her but I thought of the first place you'd go to first and went here but...no one was here," he gloomily stated, "I could've sworn it was you. You have the same eyes."

She gulped, what if he actually saw her? "Did she...did she look like me?"

He furrowed her brows, "I didn't see her face. Just a glimpse of her eyes."

She breathed out a sigh of relief, "Why were you running after her anyway?"

"I told you I thought she was you. I just wanted to apologize," and then he looked down, "And it was my birthday so I just thought about spending it with you, maybe."

Her dead heart broke, "Some other time."

He nodded before looking down on his journal once more.

"How old are you, Olivia?"

She looked up to the barely visible skies through the shade of trees before asking, "I'm over two centuries old."

He gasped, "That's so..."

"...old?" she guessed.

"Long," he corrected, while shaking his head, a blush forming on his cheeks, "The word old doesn't fit you. You're...pretty."

She smiled.

"Well, I'm twenty now," he stated with a proud charming smile.

"I'm aware."

"I'm now also independent. I already moved out of my mum's house to live on my own."

Her brows furrowed. She didn't know what he was getting at.

He continued, "She won't get worried that I'd scurry towards some woods and get lost, you know, like that first time you've seen me."

A smile immediately crept up her face once she remembered. That faded not long after when she realized there was something that Harry was hinting at, though.

"And you're telling me all these because?" she asked with a questioning look on her face.

He looked up at her and into her eyes, his face devoid of any emotions, "You wont hurt me right?" he asked just like the first time they've met.

Her answer was almost in an instant.

"I could never hurt someone so beautiful."

His eyes turned a few shades brighter before he flushed and bit on his lower lip.

She looked at her weirdly as he started to look nervous as the minutes pass by without saying anything.

"Then take me with you."
