BADASS ❞

━━━━━ STEPHANIE FOLLOWED BEHIND Banacheck as he lead the group to a different section of the building. "You're about to see our crown jewel." Simmons said, opening the door. Everyone followed in a line walking into the room. Stephanie followed behind her brother as her mouth fell slightly a gap.
"Carbon dating puts the Cube here around 10,000 BC. The first Seven didn't find it until 1913. They knew it was alien because of the matching hieroglyphics on the Cube as well as NBE One." Banacheck said. "President Hoover had the dam built around it. Four football fields thick of concrete. A perfect way to hide its energy from being detected by anyone or any alien species on the outside."
Stephanie looked towards Simmons giving him a stern look. "Wait, back up. You said the dam hides the Cube's energy. What kind exactly?" Maggie asked, while Stephanie placed her eyes back on the Cube.
"Good question." Banacheck replied.
Stephanie turned around as everyone started to walk into another room that was smaller than the one they had just been in.
"Please step inside. They have to lock us in."
Stephanie turned back towards the door as it was closed. She then looked towards Lennox as he looked at her with a concerning look. She just wanted to know how to get rid of the robots that had been trying to attack them.
"Anybody have any mechanical devices? BlackBerry? Key alarm? Cell phone?" Simmons asked, pulling Stephanie's eyes to him.
She watched as he placed the phone in the box, while another man handed her goggles to place over her eyes for protection.
"We're able to take the Cube radiation and funnel it into that box." Simmons informed the ground, as he pushed some levers up.
A light of energy came towards the phone. Within seconds it began shaking, she watched as the phone turned into a little robot. It pranced around the box, running into the glass multiple times.
"Mean little sucker, huh?" Simmons asked them.
"This is turning into such a weirder day." Stephanie spoke, lowering her head slightly.
"Kind of like the itty-bitty Energizer Bunny from hell, huh?" Simmons continued to ask them walking around the room.
She watched as the mini robot began talking in an unknown language, then it pulled out it's weapons attacking the box. She removed her goggles just seconds after the little crazier robot had been killed. She looked up around the room as the lights flickered.
"That can't be good." She breathed out.
"Gentlemen, they know the Cube is here." Keller said as Stephanie looked towards him.
She turned around not really sure what they were to do, "Banacheck. What's going on?" He asked the other end of the line waiting for an answer.
"Well, the NBE One hangar has lost power..." The man informed them.
"What?" Banacheck questioned looking towards Simmons.
"...and the backup generator is just not gonna cut it." The man continued to explain.
"Do you have an arms room? "Lennox asked walking up to Banacheck with Stephanie next to him. They followed Banacheck out of the room, Stephanie staying close to her team members.
"Get everyone to the NBE One chamber now!" Banacheck shouted. They made their way down a long stretch of hallway. Simmons looked back at the group. "They're popping our generators." Banacheck yelled.
"¡Maravilloso!" Stephanie spoke out in her second language.
Stephanie separated from her team, grabbing the guns and filling them up with ammo. She looked up at her brother as he watched her do her job.
"So, this is what you do?" Sam asked her. She smirked at him.
"Pretty much yeah." Stephanie replied, moving to the next gun.
"Forty millimeter sabot rounds on that table!" Simmons shouted pointing to the table that Stephanie had been standing at.
She looked up as the lights flickered back and forth, a noise right behind it. She continued filling up the ammo up even shoving some in her uniform
"You got to take me to my car. You have to take me to my car." Sam spoke walking towards Simmons. "He's gonna know what to do with the Cube." Sam added as Stephanie lifted her head to look at her younger brother.
"Your car? It's confiscated." Simmons replied, looking at him.
"Then unconfiscate it." Sam told him.
"We do not know what will happen if we let it near this thing!" Simmons yelled back.
The blonde clenched her jaw ready to get in the middle of Sam and Simmons. She would choose her family over what they were about to do on any given day.
"You just wanna sit here and wait and see what happens?" Sam asked in return, looking at him sternly.
"I have people's lives at stake here, young man." Simmons hollered.
Stephanie moved towards Simmons pulling her hand gun out of her holster that rested on her thigh. She held it out towards Simmons as Lennox pushed into him.
"Take him to his car!" Lennox shouted. She turned around holding her gun to one of the men that came up to her.
"Ni siquiera me atrevería." She spoke looking back at Lennox and Simmons.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" Banacheck shouted holding his hands in the air.
"Drop your weapon, soldier." Simmons said, lifting a finger. "There's an alien war going on and you're gonna shoot me?" Simmons asked while Stephanie rolled her eyes.
"You know, we didn't ask to be here." Lennox told him.
"I'm ordering you under S-Seven executive jurisdiction." Simmons told him.
"S-Seven don't exist." Epps told him.
"Right. And we don't take orders from people that don't exist." Lennox said as Stephanie placed a smile on her face. Stephanie looked back at the man tightening her grip on her gun waiting for Lennox to give them orders.
"Simmons?" Keller asked, pulling everyone's attention to him.
"Yes, sir?" Simmons asked.
"I'd do what he says. Losing's really not an option for these guys. And if I were you I wouldn't mess with Sergeant Witwicky." Keller told him.
Simmons looked at Stephanie who looked mad at the way things had been handled. She didn't understand why they wouldn't just listen, then he looked back at Lennox.
"All right. Okay. Hey, you want to lay the fate of the world on the kid's Camaro? That's cool." Simmons told them. Stephanie shoved her gun back in her holster, turning around she bawled her hand and punched Simmons in the face.
"If you ever mess with my brother or my family again you will deal with me personally." Stephanie told him. Lennox pulled her back before anything could escalate. "I'm cool." Stephanie said, holding her hands up in defense.
"Badass." Sam called out smiling at his sister.
