Eliza?

There were a few thoughts that assaulted Alexis in those few moments.

What?

Huh?

I must be dreaming!

But I'm not

The Flash is standing in front of me!

He's taller than I imagined

Did he just call Clark and Bruce Superman and Batman?

Do I seriously work for batman?!

What's the problem?

That last one was echoed by Damian Wayne.

" What's the problem?" He asked.

" There's a crazy red haired lady attacking Coast city and Green Lantern is off world! She's threatening to burn the city!" Flash gasped out, obviously tired after running such a long way.

" Clark, get your suit, boys, get to the Batcave, Alexis, sorry you had to find out this way," Bruce ordered.

No one questioned him, Alexis was still gawking at the heroes surrounding her.

" Sorry babe," Jason murmured, kissing her before he raced off after his brothers and his adoptive father.

Alfred hurried over to her.

" Miss Mercury, are you alright?" He asked worriedly.

Come on Alexis, pull yourself together, you're a hero for goodness sakes! You've done missions a thousand times, why are you still sitting here. You should be helping them!

" I'm fine Alfred, but I may need to borrow a comm link," Alexis said calmly.

" Master Jason will be quite alright, you need not speak to him on comm to assure his safety," Alfred assured.

She stood, squaring her shoulders and placing a hand on Alfred's shoulder.

" I'm not worried about him, he can handle himself I know, I need the comm because I'm going with them," Alexis stated simply.

She thanked whoever was out there that she'd brought her suit along. She made it a habit these days, especially after she'd experienced the violence of Gotham streets.

" Miss Alexis, you cannot possibly go with them! It's too dangerous! You are not trained!" Alfred argued forcibly.

She pulled her domino mask out of her bag and donned it, smiling early at the suddenly startled old man before her.

" I wouldn't worry about me, Alfred," She stated calmly.

She knew by his expression that her contact lenses had worn off, and her golden yellow eyes were showing through. She raced o where she knew the closest bathroom was, and with lightning speed she changed in to her suit and flung her cloak around her.

She flew past Alfred, causing his tie to flap around, calling a quick,

" Stay safe!" before she harnessed the wind and leapt out the window.

Hopefully she hadn't given the man a heart attack.

When she got to Coast City she instantly saw Superman.

He was hard to miss when he wore such bright colors.

She pushed the wind harder and managed to see the situation. It didn't look good from a first glance. The villain wasn't alone, she had two very familiar villains standing with her.

The Joker and Harley Quinn.

The prince of crime was here, and that was never a good sign, especially when it meant that the bats were hard at work beating him and his girlfriend, leaving only Superman to save the people of the burning office building.

The Kryptonian was hard at work saving over a hundred people all trapped by the hungry flames. She flew up to him amidst the burning wreckage as he went for another civilian.

" I'll deal with this, you take her down!" Alexis yelled above the flames.

He only hesitated a moment before handing the old woman over to her.

She had no issue with the flames, she could harness them at any time if she wanted to, and so she commanded them away from the doors, revelling in the rush of power that thrummed in her veins when the fire responded.

While it was admittedly her weakest element, dealing with a burning building was fine, and yet battling a fire user would be almost beyond her skills with flames.

With the doors cleared, the stronger residents started herding people out to the streets, and she quickly flew out a broken window, depositing the old woman in front of an ambulance worker.

Back and forth she went, dousing the building with water she'd harnessed from the water works in the building and her own self.

The fires were slowly dying out under the water and yet she kept having to pause to save a resident who hadn't made it out the doors with the rest.

She didn't have time to worry about the villains, only about her own job.

By ten minutes later she'd managed to put the flames out, but the air was still insufferably thick with smoke and heat, causing her to want to hack up a lung.

She turned to gaze at the fight going on above and below her.

Harley Quinn was tied up and hanging from a lamp post. She squirmed and thrashed but didn't seem to be able to free herself.

Joker's goons were being dealt with by the bat clan with relative ease, and yet the sheer number of them were keeping the boys busy. Her heart beat wildly when she saw Jason just miss a speeding bullet.

Batman himself was battling the Joker, the two were doing an intricate dance of sorts, jabbing and blocking each other without ever tiring by the looks of it.

She couldn't see Superman or the fire woman at all.

The good thing about being a new hero in Gotham was that no one suspected she'd be there. Judging by Joker's back still facing her, and Batman's slightly wider eyes only he had noticed her arrival. Without hesitation she thrust out a fist, sending the road under Joker cracking and him to fall up to his knees through it. She closed the crack before he could fall any further, after all, she wasn't a killer.

Batman took the moment of weakness to punch a devastating blow to Joker's face, sending the slow off to La La Land.

" Greetings Batman," She commed happily.

" Elementum. Why are you here?" Batman asked sharply.

" I had the night off and figured you might need a hand," She answered tersely.

" You can fly, so you're needed with Superman, we will be just fine down here," He groused.

" Fine. Fine. I'm going," She grumbled in slight annoyance.

And just where was Superman?

" YOU DARE TO FIGHT ME KRYPTONIAN?!" A booming female voice yelled.

There he was.

As exhausted as she was, she harnessed the winds to propel her as fast as they could to where the voice had yelled from. When she saw the two of them at last, she really wished she hadn't. It was a war zone!

Rubbles was strewn all over the pavement where a woman with bright red hair and a charcoal gray body suit stood, shooting fire from her hands at Superman, who was currently trying to dive-bomb her.

And why hadn't he just gone through the fire yet? The fire was tinged green, and from what she'd read, she was pretty sure that when Superman was involved, green was bad.

Thankfully she had no issue with fire or Kryptonite.

" I dare to fight you! Turn and face me!" Alexis boomed in her won loud tone.

The woman momentarily lost concentration, and turned to face her, leaving her momentarily open to Superman's attack.

Alexis didn't acre though, no, the only thing running through her head were memories she thought long buried until now. The eyes told her all. Those green eyes thats he recognized more than any other eyes in the world.

" Eliza..." She breathed out in shock.
