I got in the elevator and rode up to my floor. I wiped the sweat from my face, my body sore from the gym. The elevator dinged, stopping on my floor. I walked out and slipped my headphones off. I heard screaming coming from the other side of hallway. I shrugged it off, and put my key card in. I opened the door and was about to walk in. "AJ stop please!! AJ!! Stop!!" I turned my head at the sound of the name AJ. AJ? Is it Nikki? I walked out of my room and walked down the hallway, letting the screams lead the way. I walked up and saw AJ pinning Nikki against the door while kissing her neck, her screams and tears were telling me that he was forcing himself on her. Flames burned in my eyes, and I grabbed AJ by his shirt. I turned him around and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. I heard sobs and looked in Nikki's direction. She was staring at AJ while her tears fell from her eyes. My anger subsided as I walked to her and gently grabbed her face. "Hey, hey.. Babygirl it's okay.. I'm here.. He won't touch you." She nodded, I grabbed her hand and we walked back to my room, closing the door behind us. She let go of my hand and sat on the bed, sobbing. I kneed to her level and lifted her head for her to face me. "Don't cry, baby... Please don't cry, I'm here.. I'm not going anywhere." She shut her eyes. "No.. Y-You warned me about him and I still didn't listen to you.. Why am I such an idiot?" "Shh, it's okay babygirl. Let's just get some sleep." She nodded as she slipped off her heels, and laid down. I took off my shirt and laid beside her. She snuggled into my chest, still sniffing from all her crying. I played with her hair, trying to calm her down. "Thank you for doing that." She snuggled closer. "You're welcome.. Don't worry babygirl.. I won't let anything happen to you.. Not well I'm around.." She yawned and giggled. "Hmm.. This feels nice.. I missed being in your arms every night." "I missed having you in my arms every night." She looked up at me "You do?" I nodded and lifted her chin. "I told you, Nicole.. I still love you.. And nothing and I mean nothing will ever change that." I looked down at her lips, wanting to kiss but not sure if I would. She must've noticed because she giggled "You gonna kiss me or are you just gonna keep staring?" I chuckled and planted a kiss on her lips, I felt her smile into the kiss. Her lips still felt the same, despite the fact that we haven't kissed in weeks. We pulled away but kept a small space in between us. "God, I'm addicted to your lips." She giggled. "Good night, Joseph." She laid on my chest and drifted to sleep.. I planted a soft kiss on her head "I'm such an idiot." I pulled her close and drifted to sleep.
