Lilith's Point of View

---

I crumpled the letter as soon as I finished reading it. A war is coming? Against Lucian? There's no way we would win.

I threw the paper to the garbage bin, as I started continuing what I was doing before the letter came.

I crushed and grind some licorice and then proceed to pour the powder into the mixture I have readied in my cauldron.

Meow!

I glanced at my cat, Jade, as he meowed loudly.
It must be a guest, I opened the door to reveal a huge man in armor showing a royal emblem.

"The King of Idis has requested every citizen's presence, in the Castle." the stern looking Knight said and then grabbed my hand roughly, "Hey--!" I shouted as he threw me over his horse.

"Hey! Mister! I think you're forgetting who I am! How dare you--" I slapped my hand on his back, hitting the hard armory.

"I do not recall the need to be polite with you, as you are nothing special, are you not? The Ex-Queen of Askor?" his tone was mocking as he silently rode the horse back towards the Castle.

He knows that I can't reply to that.
Because it's the truth.

My name is Lilith, the Queen of Askor, well ex. I'm a witch known as Lucian's wife. If you are asking whether we're mates or not, no. There's no such thing as mates here, there's only fate.

And boy, is he cruel.

I fixed my red curly hair as I recall the memory of my past.

One time He is kind, loving and accepting, but now, he did nothing but avoiding me, hating, and making sure I suffer under his wrath.

It's only been a month since I left Askor. Lucian hasn't been... Kind to me, you see. He threw me out of his territory and into the snow, as Askor are after all the White Kingdom, or to be more specific, stupid kingdom covered in bloody white snow. After I was kicked out, he told me not to step any of my ugly feet into his Kingdom or else, he'll bring death upon me himself.

So, I decided to pay my niece a visit. She's also a witch, it just runs in our bloodline. She, said that I should just stay in Idis, because it's the easier here.

But now? War against Lucian? I'm not really sure anymore. I doubt Lucian wants to see me in the war, or does he? Probably he wants to kill me immediately, and heard that I'm in Idis, so perhaps he declared war just to kill me, -and to claim Idis as his, well killing two birds with one stone.

We arrived at the Castle, a lot of people are there, most of them are witches, as Idis accepts witches easily, as we provide more things. I doubt that this is all of Idis' citizens, so we wait for a few more hours.

After an hour or two, the King finally showed up, standing where everyone can see him.

"As you can see, I have requested all of your presences. For what? If you haven't heard already, we are going on a war against Askor." The crowd gasped, "But the good news is, we've got a lot of witches' support, right? I hope you all would, no, must fight in this war. Without you, Idis is nothing" the crowd clapped, "But, before that. The King of Askor, Lucian offered a deal. Which is to give him... A witch girl..." as the King hesitated, the crowd started to whispered things like who? And why would Lucian do that.

"Her name is Lilith. She's the Queen of Askor, currently residing here. Lilith, the witch who were known to be The Queen of Askor. The very ex wife of Lucian." I gulped as he said my name.

Why would Lucian wants me?

"But of course, you lived here, as a fellow Witch, so I respect your privacy, and politely decline the offer, which angered Lucian, truly."

The King closed his speech and invited us to an outdoor celebration before the coming of the war.
The women are allowed to take a bath in the lake, while the men are to help set up the celebration.

A lot of women are not in the mood of relaxing because of the impending war. But, some are still up for the offer, including me.

The lake was in the middle of a forest, there's also a waterfall near it.

I walked into the forest, finally seeing the lake, so I stripped off of my outfit while carrying a towel with me.

My body was, more to the thicker side, especially my bust, hip, thigh and bottom. It's not really a problem because Lucian used to love my body. Well not so much now, I think.

I dipped my toes into the water checking the temperature, which is quite cold, but immediately turned warm. I glanced to my side to see a witch chanting a heat spell to warm the lake up together with several other witches. They smiled at me and nodded, I followed them, and take a part in this warming-the-lake thing.

After the water was to the desired temperature, the other witches went dipping into the lake to wash their bodies. While I was trying hard to tie my lousy hair up. I saw that the group of witches, have gone into the side, probably wanting some distance from the person who has sole role in the war.

So I went to relax in the other side, quite far from the others. I saw a single crow tilting its head. Witches are great with pets, I don't really know why, but we just are. I pet the crow gently to realize that its eyes are as red as blood.

The very same shade as Lucian's eyes.

This would be another night without being in Lucian's arms, and honestly I missed him. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't still in love and hoping we could get back together, especially when he wants me back.

Maybe, he just wants to get rid of you.

My conscience said, which might just be true.

I relaxed in the warm water as I was accompanied by my memory of Lucian
