3 days. That's all it took before the baby arrived. The baby was here. And Poppy's tears were all over it's violet face.

"Branch, here she is..." Poppy said with a smile.

"She's violet," Branch said.

"Yeah," Poppy said laughing. "What should we name her?"

"Why is she violet?" Branch questioned again, and Poppy started to hear worry in his voice.

"Branch, look at her. She's breathing. She's happy. There's nothing wrong with her!" Poppy said.

"But.... I'm blue and you're pink. She's violet. Why?"

"Usually this doesn't happen," Dr.Britt said coming to my side and squeezing my hand. "But I guess the colors blue and pink do make violet. So, I'm guessing that's why..."

Branch was relived. "Phew." He said.

Poppy rolled her eyes playfully and smiled at her baby Troll.

"Violet...." Poppy whispered.

Branch came up beside the hospital bed and crawled in with Poppy and the baby. "Violet?"

"It's perfect." Poppy said with a smirk. "Just like you."

Branch laughed.

Violet's colors grew brighter by the second. Poppy and Branch laughed, and her colors grew brighter. But... why?

"Why is that happening?"

"She's gaining color, I'm sure...." Poppy said. "I mean, I'm sure we both had to do that, too."

"Yeah, I guess so..." Branch said and smiled at Violet. A tear fell down is cheek and landed on her purple cheek. It faded its color.

"What? Branch!" Her cheek stayed darker no matter how hard they tried to laugh and play with her. That small spot remained the same.

"I... I'm sorry!" Branch cried falling out of the bed and feeling shame.

"Doctors! Doctors!"

Violet's face grew light and then faded, light, dark, light, dark, but the cheek stayed the same.

"Why is she changing color?" Poppy cried over the doctors voices who carried the baby away.

Branch stared at the baby being taken and Poppy's glare.

"Poppy, I'm sorry...." Branch let out a tear and his color began to fade.

So did Poppy's. "It's okay.... we'll get her back."

"I hope she's okay."

"Me and you both, Branch...."
