After Kelly and Brandon had left ,Reba and Narvel were on the couch talking."Narvel?" Reba said uneasily"Yea?" Narvel replied looking up from his book. "I might already be pregnant."Reba confessed."What?"Narvel asks astounded"Well last night was one of those 'caught in the moment' things so we didn't use anything."Reba explained"Shit!Reba, I'm sorry I know we wanted to plan this. I shouldn't have started something I wasn't prepared for."Narvel was beating himself up over something that actually excited Reba."Why are you sorry Narvel? This could turn out to be something great.If I am pregnant then we'll just call it an early start, the planning will happen along the way."Reba said."Your right."Narvel admitted."I'm always right."She replied with a cocky grin. "You are unbelievable."Narvel said in awe at his wife's childish behavior."Cute." She replied kissing him softly."so when will we be able to tell?"Narvel asked."In a few days,weeks maybe."Reba answered."That long huh?" Narvel sighed."Yep,sadly."Reba said as she daydreamed about the names and nursery."You okay?"Narvel asked snapping his wife out of her 'moment'."Huh? oh,yea.I was just thinkin'."she replied with a smile on her face."Well,what about?"He asked."Stupid stuff like the nursery and baby names. She answered."Doesn't sound to stupid to me."He replied."It's just so exciting! I mean what if I am pregnant? The doctor said it was a slim chance but not impossible.This would be like a miracle baby!"Reba said cuddled up next to him.She sounded like a kid trying to pick out candy in a candy shop.The way she talked as if she were pregnant made him know that she would love this kid no matter what, but in the other hand there is a possibility that she isn't pregnant and they are just being paranoid.It scared both of them that this would probably be considered a high risk pregnancy and that there was more of a possibility of a miscarriage than in a normal pregnancy.This thought made him pull her closer and never want to let go.He didn't think that she could handle losing a child...again. Before Shelby they had been trying to get pregnant for a while and eventually did but lost the baby before the first trimester ended.They didn't give up though.They tried until Shelby came along and they almost lost him too due to an early labor.He didn't think she could handle that or want to try again.
Later that night the exhausted couple were laying in bed and got the idea of planning everything out in case things got to crazy again. They had name, nursery, and decor columns. For a girls name they had Lylah,Maggie,Reagan, Darian,Dakota,Skylar, Leah, and Cathryn. For boys they had Drew,Jackie, Seth, Chris, Narvel, Jonathan, Nate, and William. The nursery would either be baby blue and white or pink and lavender. The cribs would be hand made by a family friend and would have their names carved in the side. The couple lost track of time and before they knew it it was midnight.They fell asleep wrapped in each other's embrace.
