Excitement was thick in the air.  It was 30 minutes till showtime and everyone was racing around.  We could hear the rumble of the fans' voices in the stadium from backstage.

At the moment, I was sewing a hole Shawn tore into his jacket during his last performance.  The amount of repair I have to do for him is monstrous, but I love it.

"How ya doing hun?"  Caring arms wrapped around my shoulders and squeezed me tight.

"Oh I'm great!  Just finishing up the last stitches."

"Now that I'm without your kisses, I'll be needing stitches."

"You're too cute."  I smiled and blushed.

"Why thank you."

"Quite the dapper fellow."  I kissed his cheek.

He spun me around to face him and pressed his lips against mine.  "You are so precious to me."

"You are too."  I giggled and hugged him tightly.

"Hey, would you mind being in the audience tonight?"

"Not at all!  It'll be awesome."

"Sweet.  Oh, what's your favorite song that's not mine?"

"Perfect by Ed Sheeran."

"Cool.  I gotta go finish prepping with the guys.  I'll see you in a few."  He kissed me one last time and walked away.

I checked the time and it was 10 minutes to showtime. I skipped out the door and around the stadium to the entrance where I flashed my all access pass.

A few girls recognized me and asked to take pictures. After we'd finished, I rushed to the floor where my seat was waiting. It was third row right next to the cat walk.

The lights suddenly dimmed, and everyone started cheering. Shawn came running out and began playing There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back.

The energy of the music filled my heart and I started crying. I don't know if it was pregnancy hormones or the joy of seeing the guy I love, and who I hope loves me, perform a few feet away.

Shawn and I made eye contact throughout the show.  He winked, smiled, and even grabbed my hand.  I grinned and sang my lungs out.

"Okay.  I want to do something special since this is my last show before going home for Christmas.  Now, she doesn't know I'm about to do this."  He began playing chords on his guitar.

"I met a girl three months ago, she's actually in the audience right now.  She has completely changed the way I see and do life.  You ever meet someone and think, wow, they're the most beautiful and amazing person in the world?"

"I found a love, for me.  Darling just dive right in and follow me lead.  Oh I found a girl, beautiful and sweet.  I never knew you were the someone waiting for me..."

Tears streamed down my face as Shawn walked down the stage and stood above where I was.  Everyone who stood around me clapped.  Josiah and Geoff lifted me up onto the stage to stand next to Shawn.  The whole stadium erupted in cheers.

"Baby I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms.  Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song.  When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath, but you heard it, darling you look perfect tonight."

I put a hand over my mouth and the tears continued to fall.  Is it possible that he'd love someone like me?

"Ladies and gentlemen, if everyone could reach under their seats, there's a piece of paper taped to the bottom.  Please pull it off and hold it up in the air."

There was shuffling as Shawn continued to play his guitar.  What came next completely surprised me...

As the stadium lights brightened slightly, I turned toward the audience and what I saw took my breath away.  All the papers were lifted into the air and there was a message written into them.

Lily, will you be my girlfriend?

I spun back around to face Shawn and I had completely lost it and was bawling my eyes out.  He had stopped playing his guitar and was holding a bundle of pink roses.

"Lily Taylor, darling, I love you so much.  Would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"

"Yes, ten thousand times yes!!"  I nodded and smiled.  "I love you too."

Shawn handed me the roses and enveloped me in a hug. The crowd cheered and started chanting, "Kiss her kiss her."

I giggled when he raised his eyebrow. My heart started beating fast as he bent down and kissed me. His lips moved with mine and time stood still. There was no place I'd rather be than in his arms.

When we finally broke apart for air, I noticed tears in Shawn's eyes too.  He put his forehead against mine and whispered, "I love you."

My cheeks hurt from smiling but I didn't care.  He told me he loves me!  Shawn Mendes loves me of all people!!

"Thank you Barcelona, you've been amazing! And I appreciate all the help." He smiled and waved to the audience. We walked off the stage together, arm in arm, and he gave one of the stage crew his guitar.

"OH MY GOD YOU GUYS!!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU TWO!! I WAS CRYING AS I WAS RECORDING EVERYTHING!" Vivian sprinted over to us.

"Vivian thank you so much!!" I ran to meet her.

"Of course of course!! Oh my darling girl, you are the luckiest person in the world."

"Oh I know," I looked back at Shawn, who seemed very happy.

"I will love and cherish her always, I promise you Vivian." He walked over to us and joined in our group hug.

"Good," Vivian grinned.

"Why don't you two head back to the hotel, we'll finish up here and meet you there," he suggested.

"Sounds like a plan." She nodded in agreement and took my hand.

"Bye Shawn, see you soon!" I kissed his cheek.

"Bye Lily, I love you."

"I love you too."

Vivian and I took a shuttle back to the hotel and dodged the line of fans that were standing around waiting for Shawn.

"He's going to have a busy night!" I chuckled when we were safely in the elevator.

"Yep," Vivian laughed. "Oh, I need to run by the ice machine real quick, I'll meet you back in our room."

"Okie dokie." I continued up the elevator till it stopped on our floor.

There weren't any people wandering around at this hour, so I had the whole hallway to myself. Once I got to my, Vivian, Shawn, and Mike's room, I kicker off my shoes and jumped into bed.

I pulled the envelope of the ultrasound from my backpack and opened it.  "So the two best things happened to me today, I became Shawn's girlfriend, and I found out I'm pregnant."

There was a crash behind me and I snapped my head around.  Vivian had dropped the ice bucket and stood open mouthed.  "You're... pregnant???  Why didn't you tell me?"

"Oh, Viv, you weren't supposed to hear that yet."  I slid the pictures back inside the envelope and shoved it back in my backpack.

"Lily, I couldn't be happier for you!  Who's the father?  Let me guess, Shawn?"  She ran to me and hugged me.

"Thank you, and yes, it's Shawn."

"Wow!  This is amazing!  When are you due?  And why did you lie to me earlier?"

"Oh I don't know, I was scared, plus I'm not very far along yet."  I shrugged and sighed.

"When are you going to tell him?"

"I haven't gotten that far."

"If you need anything, I'll be here for you."

"Thank you Vivian, I truly don't know what I'd do without you."  I squeezed her tightly.

About an hour and a half later, Shawn and Mike came in.  "Hey guys, you missed the funniest thing.  So Shawn was skipping across the stage, and I guess he tripped on a cord or something, but he was holding a drink and it and him went flying."

Vivian and I were cracking up while Shawn stood there blushing.  "Hey, I was on top of the world."

"Awwww," Vivian nudged me.

"Lily, do you wanna go for a walk?"  He turned to me.

"I'd love to."

"You know, if you guys want us to leave for the night, you could just ask," Mike smirked.

"Hey, save it," I pointed a finger at him.

Shawn and I walked out together and down the hall.  "What a night aye."

"Oh Shawn, it's been amazing!!"

"I'm so glad Lily."  He kissed my forehead.

We stopped walking and just stared into each other's eyes.  I don't even know how long it had been until he closed the distance between us.

Hands and lips were everywhere.  He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist.  His lips were hot and sent a fire throughout my body.  Every curve of our bodies fit perfectly together.  He bit my lip and I smiled.

"You know, I'm starting to think we should take them up on their offer," Shawn mumbled.

"Me too," I replied breathlessly.

He carried me, kissing all the way, back to our room and flung open the door.  Vivian and Mike had vanished, how kind of them.

Shawn set me down gently on the bed and climbed on top of me.  I helped him take his shirt off and he began kissing down my neck.  At least I'm already pregnant.
