The doctors ran test on Jessica and monitored her and the baby closely. Jessica and Danny didn't know what was going on, it made them nervous and frustrated. The doctor did an amniotic fluid index evaluation to measure the amount of amniotic fluid inside the placenta.

Once the doctor came in Jessica and Danny sat up.

"Please tell us what's going on!" Jessica says

"After looking at these test it looks like your amniotic fluid is very low. Your fluid measures less then 5 centimeters which worries me."

"Does she have oligohydramnios?" Danny says

"I am afraid so. Jessica have you been experiencing any leaking?"

"No, not that I've noticed. Is the baby going to be okay?"

"There is a risk of miscarriage or still birth this early on. If we don't get the level of amniotic fluid back up it could cause birth defects. We are going to do everything we can Mrs. Lange."

Jessica begins to sob in Danny's arm. Danny rubs her back to comfort her.

"What do you have to do to get the fluid back to normal?" Danny says

"We are going to do non-stress and contraction stress test, weekly. I'm going to put Jessica on maternal rehydration fluids to try to increase the levels. What i'm going to have you do Jessica is drink lots and lots of water, eat fruits, stay away from herbal supplements, and do very light exercising like yoga or walks. This is all we can do right now."

"Can I lose her?"

"We are going to do everything possible. Since you and your husband are able to do IVS I am going to send you home with the maternal hydration fluids and needles. Is that okay?"

"Yes, I will help Jessica with that."

"I know you two are both in the medical field so that's why I'm doing it instead of having you come daily. Now I want you to put the IV in every 6-8 hours for 30 minutes."

"Do you think we will be able to bring the levels up?"

"I don't have any doubts."

Once Jessica and Danny are finished they walk out to the waiting room. Jessica's face was pale and she was quite. Danny held onto her arm and helped her walk. Her eyes were puffy and red.

"Mom, what happened? You guys were in there for like an hour." Matt says looking at her.

"Help me take your mother to the car Matt?

Come on kids let's go home." Danny says

Matt looks at Danny then Jessica who was speechless.

Once they put Jessica in the car Matt pulled Danny aside.

"Danny, what's happening?"

"Your mother has oligohydramnios, which means low amniotic fluid. It's very dangerous and it has her a little bit shook since she could possibly miscarriage."

"Oh my gosh. Will her and the baby be okay?"

"Yes, the doctor is very confident. We just need to be supportive right now and relax her."

The car ride home was silent. When they got home Jessica took a gallon of water up into the bedroom and closed the door. They all gave her space.

Danny and Matthew run to the drugstore and Danny's office to grab the stuff for the IV and get Jessica's rehydration fluids.

When he got back Danny went upstairs. Jessica wrapped herself in the big fluffy comforter and wrapped her hands around her stomach.

"Baby, I need to give you the IV."

Danny takes the supplies over to her and she sits up.

"Honey, getting upset isn't good for the baby. You need to relax." Danny rubs her arm.

"I'm so scared. I can't go through another miscarriage. I can't Danny!"

"I know, and we won't let it happen. Let me see your arm."

Jessica holds out her arm and Danny wipes it then slowly sticks the needle into her arm.

"Do you think it's because we traveled? The doctor told me not to and I did!"

"Jessica it could be anything, and we wouldn't have been able to prevent it. The doctor said she doesn't have doubts."

"Can you hand me the milk jug."

Danny hands her the gallon of water as she slowly drinks it.

He rubs her belly and smiles.

"Our little Lowie is going to be okay. I promise."

Jessica let's out a sigh.

"Hey, look at me Jess. This is just a bump in the road, she is going to be okay."

"I can't help but think that I will miscarry. I read about this more online Danny! I leaned about this in Med school. You and I both know the possibilities and risk!" Jessica softly cried covering her face.

"I know. I'm sorry.

The doctors are closely going to monitor you. You and I are going to yoga classes. We are going to do everything and it's all going to work."

Jessica nods.
