(Okay! Time to end the year with a bang! This is gonna be a fun chapter.)

So, we now have a new member to the team. It has been a few days and now Spring has begun. Which also means Appa is shedding his coat. A lot. "Hey, you guys picked a great campsite. The grass is so soft." I look over at Toph to find her standing in some of Appa's fur. "That's not grass. Appa's shedding." Sokka tells her. "Oh, gross." Katara complains. I put down my sleeping bag and walk over, "Yep. Nothing like being in hole in a forest soon to be filled with bison fur." I comment. "It's not gross. It's just a part of spring. You know, rebirth, flowers blooming, and Appa gets a new coat." Aang says. I look up at him, "Yep. Time moves forward as the seasons change. To be honest, it is a good change after living in a frozen tundra for most of my life. Even if it starts off being covered in fuzzball's fuzz." I comment.

"Ahh. The beauty of spring." Katara says with sarcasm. Appa then sneezes and a whole lot of his fur poofs off him. (Huh. Fluff cloud.) "Stop. Appa, stop!" Katara coughs from the fur. "Heh." I smirk and look down at the fur amd get an idea. "It's not that bad, Katara. It makes a great wig." Sokka says as he made one form Appa's fur. "And a great beard." Aang hops down with said beard. Huh, reminds me of our first time at Omashu. The boys laugh at each other while I still focus on my little project. "I'm just glad we finally have another girl in the group, because you two are disgusting." Katara says.

"Excuse me. Does anyone have a razor, because I got some hairy pits." Toph says, revealing the fur she put in her shirt. "Pfft! I've got a knife. And while I'm at it, perhaps some sole-less fur boots?" I stand up and hold up a foot to reveal my foot covered in Appa's fur. We all break out laughing but Aang sneezes and blows off the fur while also knocking back into Appa. (HAH! 🤣) And falling down while having fur stick to his back! "AH-HA! Oh! Oh, you're killing me, bud!" I get out before wrapping my arms around my stomach.

We laugh for a while but calm down. "Okay. I'll go find us some food." I state. I take out my bola-knife and walk off. I return with a small animal and some nuts and berries. We took a break after I finished cooking the animal over a fire while gave the nuts and berries to Aang. We sit around a fire and I offered Toph some food, but she eats the food she brought with her. She denies it and I respect her decision. "It is nice having another member on the team." I state. "Yep. Especially one being a powerful bender." Sokka says then scarfs down his portion. "I can't wait to learn earthbending from you, Toph." Aang says. "Well, I have to warn you. Twinkle Toes, it ain't for the dainty." Toph says. I chuckle, "You are a delight." I tell her.

Soon the sun had set and after eating. we continued getting camp set up. I get our sleeping bags ready but hear water still and look to find Katara looking at Toph who is relaxing against some rocks with a wheat in her mouth. Katara stands up and walks over to her, I reach out my hand but pull back and remember how stubborn Katara is. I just hope she doesn't push too hard. (Uuuummm....)

Third Person P.O.V.

Katara walks over and looks down at Toph. "So, Toph, usually when setting up camp, we try to divide up the work." Katara states. "Hey, don't worry about me. I'm good to go." Toph replies. "Well, actually, what I'm trying to say is some of us might fetch water while someone else might set up the fire pit or put up the tent." Katara continues as she gestures to the others. Momo appears and drops some nuts which Katara catches, "Even Momo does his fair share." She says. "Katara, I'm fine. I can carry my own weight. I don't need a fire. I've already collected my own food. And look." Toph sits up as she bends two walls of earth to form a tent above her, "My tent's all set up." She states.

Katara gives her a slight scowl, "Well, that's great for you, but we still need to finish-" "I don't understand. What's the problem here?" Toph interrupts Katara as she gets frustrated. "Never mind." Katara walks off. (Y/N) watched and it all but turns her head away before Katara could notice her. (Just look away and say nothing.)

Some time passes and Aang airbends Appa's saddle off, but Sokka ends up getting pulled down by the weight while (Y/N) has no problem. "Sorry." Aang hops down and helps lift it. Katara sets down a jar of water then looks over at Toph. She looks down then smiles at an idea as she walks over. "Hey, Toph, I wanted to apologize for earlier. I think we're all just a little tired and getting on each other's nerves." She say. "Yeah. You do seem pretty tired." Toph replies. Katara gives her a glare, "I meant all of us." She corrects. "Well, good night." Toph says as she lays down. "Good night." Katara says back as she walks off.

It is later as the sky is filled with stars while the group sleeps. However, Toph gasps awake and lifts herself up while feeling the ground with her hands and listens carefully. "There's something coming towards us." She says as she runs out of her tent. "What is it?" Aang asks as he wakes up. Sokka and Katara get out of the tent while (Y/N) sits up and holds her knife in an attack position. "It feels like an avalanche, but also not an avalanche." Toph explains as she feels the ground again while the others stand beside her. "Your powers of perception are frightening." Sokka comments sarcastically. "Should we leave?" Katara asks. "Best to play it safe." (Y/N) states.

They quickly pack up and get on Appa as he flies off. They look back to find a giant dust cloud outside of the forest being made by something big. "What is that thing?" Katara asks. It is a battle train-like vehicle that speeds on to chase after the team.

Appa groans as he flies on. Aang yawns while Sokka nods off and Katara and Toph sit in silence. (Y/N) is the most unaffected as she keeps vigilant. (She has stayed up late when hunting. And dealing with little siblings. 😮‍💨) Appa soon lands in an earthy area and Toph is the first to get off him, "Land, sweet land." She sighs as she lays on her stomach. "See you guys in the morning." She hops onto her feet and holds her bag. "Actually, can you help us unload?" Katara asks her. "Really? You need me to help unload Sokka's funky-smelling sleeping bag?" She asks. Sokka sniffs his bag and freezes as he gets hit with the stench. "Well, yeah." Katara responds while her brother falls onto his back as (Y/N) watches him.

"That and everything else. You're part of our team now and-" "Look, I didn't ask you to unload my stuff. I'm carrying my own weight." Toph states as she walks off. "That's not the point." Katara states, "Ever since you joined us, you've been nothing but selfish and unhelpful." She marches over and scolds Toph. "What? Look here, Sugar Queen. I gave up everything I had so that I could teach Aang earthbending. So don't you talk to me about being selfish." Toph counters, sitting down and bending a tent. "'Sugar Queen?!?'" Katara repeats offended.

Toph bends earth to shut Katara out. "D-Did you just slam the door in my face? How can you be so infuriating?" Katara complains, trying to knock down the tent. (Good luck with that.) Sokka, (Y/N), Momo and Aang all watch from a distance. "Should we do something?" Aang asks. "Hey, I'm just enjoying the show." Sokka says. He wheezes after because (Y/N) elbows him in the gut. Katara hits the tent but has no luck while Aang walks over, "Ok, ok. You both need to calm down." He tells them. "Both?! I'M COMPLETELY CALM!!!" Katara shouts, looking back at Aang with a crazed look. (Clearly.) She breathes heavily as Aang froze in fear. "I can see that." He says, quickly stepping away.

He meets back with (Y/N) and Sokka. "Okay, we should give them some time." He says. "Good idea. And another one is catching up on sleep." Sokka adds. (Y/N) looks Katara to find she is kicking Toph's tent and exhales through her nose, "Don't take it to heart, bud. Having lived in the South Pole, Katara believes everyone has to help." She says. She pats his head as they take out their sleeping bags and try to get some sleep.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I can't sleep. I stare up at the sky while rubbing my bracelet. The thing is clearly Fire Nation, but who is driving it? "The stars sure are beautiful tonight. Too bad you can't see them, Toph." Oh for Spirit's sake. I give Katara a glare, but feel a rumbling and watch as she is launched into the air and lands on Sokka. "Hey, how's a guy supposed to sleep with all this yelling and earthquaking?" He complains. "That thing is back." Toph says. "Well, how far away is it? Maybe we can close our eyes just for a few minutes." Sokka says he covers himself with his bag. But I look up to find smoke. And it's getting closer. "I don't think so, Sokka." Aang says. (Welp. Let's go. 🫥)

We grab our bags and get on Appa as he flies off. I look at it and wonder again who could be in that thing. "Seriously, what is that thing?" "And how does it keep finding us?" Katara and Toph ask. "I don't know, but this time, I'm gonna make sure we lose them." Aang says. Appa flies for a while and ends up in a mountain range where he lands on top of done with a flat surface. He turns to lay on his side and we all land on the ground.

"Okay, let's get some shut eye while we can. Camp can be set up when we are not getting chased by some crazy fast metal thing." I state. "That's good, because Toph wasn't gonna help anyway." I feel my eye twitch but say nothing and lay on the ground. "Oh, I didn't realize baby still needed someone to tuck her in bed." Not you too, Toph. "Come on, guys. There's something after us, and we don't even know what or who it is." Aang says. "It could be Zuko. We haven't seen him since the North Pole."

Zuko... Back at the North Pole, he was on his own. Zhao even tried to get rid of him. There is no way that thing could be him in it. But... I take out the necklace and look at it. I hope he's doing okay. I hope Iroh is, too. That man loves his nephew and is more of a father to him than his actual father. I swear, if I ever meet the man, I will give him a hard punch in the face. But then I get that memory of when I was in the swamp. Seeing Zuko more calm and happy... Huu said that time is an illusion and since Aang saw Toph, someone he would meet, could that mean Zuko... (Maybe. 😏)

"Oof!" Momo jumps onto my head and chitters quickly. "No, Momo. Shh. Sleepy time." I hear Sokka say. I sit up as Momo hops off me and screeches as he hops off while waving his arms. I stand up and watch as his ears stand you then look back with a scared look. "Oh, don't tell me." I get up and make sure I am equipped with all my weapons before taking out my fans. "Then we won't." I tell him. "That's impossible. There's no way they could have tracked us." Aang says. "I can feel it with my own two feet." Toph confirms. I run over and stop to look over the edge to find that metal monstrosity making its way to us by a path way of mountain.

"Let's get out of here." Katara says. "Maybe we should face them and find out who they are." Aang proposes. "And know what we are up against." I add. "Who knows? Maybe they're friendly." Aang adds. I slump a little we he said that. "Don't get your hopes up, bud." I state simply. "Always the optimist." Sokka adds. The thing stops and I assume a fighting stance as one of those cars open with steam emitting from it. Coming out of it are three huge lizard creature with... "Oh, no." The three girls we faced in Omashu. (Oh, boy. 😰)

The lizards move towards fast. "It's those three girls from Omashu." Katara says. "I would say the Troublesome Trio live up to their name." I quip. "We can take them- Four on three." Toph says. "Actually, Toph, there's four of us." Sokka corrects. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't count you. You know, no bending and not as cool." Toph says. I hold myself back from letting out a laugh. "I CAN STILL FIGHT!" He shouts. "Ok, 4 on 3 plus Sokka." Toph corrects. I notice the girls getting closer. "Okay, time to get serious." I state. Toph bends some earth to stick up and block their path, but those lizards can climb and avoid them. "Well, we wanted to find out who they were, and we found out. Now, let's get out of here." Sokka says.

I am hesitant to run but considering we haven't had a lot of sleep... I put away my fans and run to Appa but hear a loud thunder. I look back to find a whole in the wall Toph bended. "Let's go! NOW!" I shout. (RUN! 🏃‍♀️) We all get on and Toph bends the earth she stands on to launch her up. Once she landed in the saddle, Appa flies off. Blue fire is shot at us but Appa avoids it and I look back and focus on the one responsible. I narrow my eyes as I get a really bad feeling about her

Third Person P.O.V.

After escaping the women, Appa flies through the sky. Though, he struggles to keep his eyes open. "I can't believe those girls followed us all the way from Omashu." Katara voices. "Really? I thought you'd be used to being chased." (Y/N) sarcastically replies. "I still think we could have taken them." Toph says, her brows furrowed in annoyance. "Are you kidding me? The crazy blue firebending and the flying daggers are bad enough, but last time we saw them, one of those girls did something that took my bending away. That's scary." Katara says. "Yeah, well, scary for you. I had no problem with them." (Y/N) says.

Dawn breaks as the sun rises. "Oh, no. The sun is rising. We've been up all night with no sleep." Sokka complains. (Congratulations. You have experienced your first all nighter.) "Sokka, we'll be okay." Aang tells him. "Are you sure? I've never not slept before. What if I fall asleep now and something happens? And something always happens!" Sokka says as he becomes slightly paranoid. "Every time we land, those girls are there. So we'll just have to keep flying." Katara tries to reassure him. "We can't keep flying forever." Aang argues. "So here's the plan: we try and put as much distance as we can to give us time to figure out how they can be tracking us so that they won't find us." (Y/N) states.

The metal train speeds on as it crosses a grassy field. And following it on an ostrich horse is a certain scarred boy wearing brown and dark green clothing and a straw hat. Zuko lifts his head up as he has the animal follows the tracks.

In the air, Aang yawns as he tries to stay awake. "So, how long do we keep flying?" He asks. "Don't know. Too tired to think." Toph says as she starts drifting off. "I'm sure we'll find a good spot after a short nap." Katara says as she lays on her back. "Yes! Sleep." Sokka smiles then lays on his front. (Y/N) lightly smacks her face as she starts to be affected from lack of sleep but then feels herself be lifted off the saddle. Her eyes widen and she moves to grab onto the saddle. Toph opens her eyes as she feels the drop, "What's going on?!?" She exclaims. "Appa fell asleep." Aang answers. (WHAT?!? 😱)

"THEN WAKE HIM UP!!!" (Y/N) shouts over the wind. Everyone screams as they fall. Sokka pulls Katara closer to him as she wraps her arms around his body. Aang climbs down Appa's head, "Wake up, buddy!" He shouts. They continue falling. "Appa! WAKE UP!!" (Y/N) screams. Appa blinks his eyes open then widen them as he quickly flies but crashes through trees. Everyone holds onto the saddle and close their eyes until they crash. Thankfully, they are all unharmed.

"Appa's exhausted." Aang says as he slides off his furry friend while the bison snores softly since he passes out again. "Ok, we've put a lot of distance between us and them. Now plan is to follow Appa's lead and get some sleep." Sokka says as he and Katara grab their sleeping bags and walk to a spot to sleep. "Of course. We could have gotten some sleep earlier if Toph didn't have such issues." Katara spats. "WHAT?!?" Toph shouts in offense as she crushes some earth in her grip. (Y/N) presses her face into Appa's fur as she let out a groan. (Mood.) "All right, all right! Everyone's exhausted. Let's just get some rest." Aang tries to calm things.

"No. I want to hear what Katara has to say. You think I have issues?" Toph snaps. "I'm just saying, maybe if you helped out earlier, we could have set up our camp faster and gotten some sleep. And then maybe we wouldn't be in this situation." She snaps back. "You're blaming me for this?" Toph snaps again as she marches up to Katara who throws her bag to the side as she does a 'Bring it on' gesture, but Aang stands between the two, "No. no! She's not blaming you." Aang tries to calm things down. "No, I'm blaming her." Katara exclaims angrily. (Y/N) removes herself from Appa she gives a warning look, "Katara, stop." She states.

"Hey!" Toph pushes Aang aside, "I never asked you for diddly-dooda. I carry my own weight. Besides, if there anyone to blame, it's Sheddy over here." Toph states. "What? You're blaming Appa?" Aang gets defensive at her accusation. "Yeah. You want to know how they keep finding us? He's leaving a trail everywhere we go." Toph explains as she grabs some of Appa's fur and holds it out while wind blows it away. (Y/N)'s eyes widen and she wipes her face to find something fur having stuck on her. "How dare you blame Appa. He saved your life 3 times today." Aang states, then hops off Appa to glare at Toph, "If there's anyone to blame, it's you." He states, pointing at Toph.

(Y/N) stands next to Toph as she gives Aang a warning look, "Aang, don't." She warns. "You're always talking about how you carry your own weight but you're not. He is. Appa's carrying your weight. He never had a problem flying when it was just the four of us." He rants. (Y/N) stands in front of Toph and Aang glares up at her but stops as she gives him an intense warning expression. (Is it bad to say I'm more scared of her than those three ladies?) Toph says nothing as she turns away and starts walking. "I'm out of here." She mutters bitterly as she grabs her bag. (Y/N) faces her, "Toph." She holds out a hand. "Wait." Sokka stands in front of Toph, but she moves him to the side with an earthbending move that made it look like Sokka glides across the ground.

The others watch her go and (Y/N) takes a few steps to follow her, but stop as she closes her eyes and lowers her head. "WHAT. IS. WRONG WITH YOU?!?" She bellows as she spins around to glare at Aang and Katara. (She snapped! 😨) The two jump from her yelling and Sokka jumps and hides in his sleeping bag from her outburst. "I mean-Wow! You guys really out done yourselves!" (Y/N) facepalms and drags it down her face. "I know that we are tired and annoyed and frustrated, but what were you thinking?!? Oh, wait. You weren't!" She rants, her eye bags becoming noticeable.

"Katara, would it kill you to give people their space?" She focuses on Katara. "Toph is getting used to being with us, she doesn't yet understand that helping out isn't the same as giving up her independence. Something she was deprived of ever since she was born blind." She states. Katara looks down as she holds her hands while feeling guilty. "You have to respect Toph's decisions, allow her to come around in her own time." She says then focuses on Aang, "And, Aang, I get it. Appa is your best friend, but Toph made a very good point." She walks over and pets Appa then removes her hand to show the fur he shed. "He's been shedding like crazy. It's the only logical thing that would explain how those girls have been tracking us." She says.

Aang has a guilty frown and looks to the side. (Y/N) inhales deeply, "Now, here's what's going to happen: You three are going to give Appa a bath to get rid of any fur that has yet to come off him, I'm going to go and try to convince Toph to come back and after we get away from those crazy chicks, we can have a much deserved sleep." She says. "Ok?" She asks them. "Ok." Katara and Aang respond. "Good." (Y/N) says then turns around and hurries off to where Toph went in hopes of finding her.

As for the weaponized train, the follow the shedded fur of Appa. Continuing their journey to capture the Avatar.

"What did I just do?!?" Aang cries out as he sits down and hangs his head in shame. "I can't believe I yelled at my earthbending teacher. Now she's gone and (Y/N) is mad at me." He wallows. "I know. We're all just trying to get used to each other. And I was so mean to her." Katara says with regret. "Yeah, you two were pretty much jerks." Sokka says as he drinks some water. "Thanks, Sokka." Katara replies sarcastically. "No problem." Sokka smiles. (He's not wrong.) "Ok, we have to follow (Y/N)'s plan." Katara says as he helps Aang up. He grabs some of Appa's fur and watch as it gets blown away by the wind. "Right. And I have a plan." He states.

The group found a nearby river and gives Appa a bath to wash off his remaining shedded fur. Momo helps as he lands on his head and scrub it with a brush. He screeches to avoid a fountain a water Aang bends. But Sokka was not lucky and got soaked.

Once it was over, they stand together on land. "Toph was right. Appa's fur was leaving a trail right to us. But now that's he's clean, no more trial." Aang says. "Are you sure he's ok to fly?" Katara asks him. "He'll be fine as long as we leave his saddle and all our stuff here." Aang assures. "I'm gonna use Appa's fur to make a fake trail and lead the tank off course." He adds as he gathers fur in a saddle.

Appa takes flight with Katara, Sokka and Momo riding him, but rams into the top of some trees and breaks them. (Oops.) Aang opens his staff and glides off in the opposite direction while leaving a trail of fur.

Toph walks alone through the first but stops and stands still. She shifts her and feels she is not alone. She bends a stream of earth and hears grunt as dirt explodes behind a boulder. She hurries over and assumes a stance, but it is in fact, "Ooh. That really hurt my tailbone." Iroh. (The Man. The Legend. The GOAT.) He rubs his backside then looks back to see Toph.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Always with how we all should contribute. Let's be a team even though we are still getting use to each other." I swear, Katara can be such a nag. I keep walking and hope to find Toph. If she senses me, hopefully she won't send me flying with an earth pillar. "Aaaah." I yawn loudly. "Spirits, it's starting to get to me." I lightly smack my face to keep myself awake. "Hmm?" I hear something rustling. I assume a stance and take out a fan as I listen closely.

A snap and I toss it in the direction it came from. But it comes back at me and I catch it then take out my other one and open them. The rustling continues and I narrow my eyes as I ready to fight. But what came out is an ostrich horse and someone riding it. I try to see who it is, but their hat is blocking their face. "You look lost." My eyes widen. That voice... "Zuko?" They lift up their head and have that scar. (Tis him!) I take a step back, "Been a while." I state.

We don't make a move. Just stare at each other and wait for something to happen. "So, you got a new ride." I speak. "Yeah. And you look tired." He replies. I raise a brow and lower my guard, "Well, you're not looking too good either." I reply. "Well, seeing as how I'm a traitor to my nation, I can't complain. Much." He says. Traitor? "What happened after the North Pole?" I ask him. He pulls on the reins and walk past me but I grab his arm, "Hey! I asked a question." I state. "I don't have time to answer. I have more important things, like making sure my sister doesn't capture the Avatar." He says.

Sister? I gasp as I remember back at the North Pole. "She's a firebending prodigy..." The blue fire. "My father says she was born lucky. He says I was lucky to be born." The manipulative nature and threats. "She wouldn't happen to have blue fire, right?" I ask. He looks down at me, "You met her?" He asks. I let go of him and place a hand on my hip, "More like fought her." I answer. "You're crazy." He says. "With how your sister is, I take that as a compliment." I reply with a smirk. He gives me a deadpanned frown and he still looks good like this. WHAT?!?

I smack myself. HARD. Crap. Exhaustion creeping in! (Sure. Let's call it that.) I inhale deeply then face Zuko, "Ok. Look, she and her friends have been causing us trouble so how about we go and teach her a lesson? And give me a ride?" I propose. He stares at me for a while, "You're going to hop on anyway even if I say no." He says. "Yep. Now, scoot." I jump onto the animal and sit up right. "Hey!" He complains but I wrap my arms around him, "Onward, ostrich horse!" I declare. I feel Zuko huff, "You're lucky I'm on a mission right now." He says. (Sure. Keep telling yourself that.)

He snaps the reins and the animal runs off. Finding Toph will have to wait. Right now, got to help Aang and deal with that crazy blue fire girl. Wait... "By the way, what's your sister's name?" I ask him. "Azula. She was named after our grandfather." He replies. "Huh. Your father did not hide his favoritism well." I comment.

Third Person P.O.V.

The sun had started to set as the sky gained an orange hue. Appa glides along trees while Sokka and Katara look down to try and find Toph and (Y/N). "Toph couldn't have made it too far." Sokka comments. But Momo screeches as he bares his teeth. "What is it, Mo-Oh, no!" Sokka exclaims as he sees Ty Lee and Mai chase after them. "Katara!" He warns his sister. "How did they find us?" She asks, then snaps the reins to have Appa go faster.

"Appa, come in. We need to go faster." Sokka says. Appa growls in reply but does not go faster. "He's too tired." Katara replies. "Not, good, not good!" Sokka exclaims. The two woman keep the bison in their sights. "We just need to make it across that river." Sokka says. "Come on, Appa! Just a little further." Katara encourages the bison, who is breaking off the top of trees as he loses altitude. Mai tosses some arrows and Sokka leans back to avoid them. Appa splashes into the river but manages to make it to the other side and crashes as he falls asleep again.

Katara, Sokka and Momo look back, "We made it. We're safe." Sokka says. "You did it, Appa!" Katara cheers. They get off and share a hug but Katara gasps as the two watch the liazard creatures run across the water. (Why do they run so goofy on water?) She steps forward and bends a wave at them. Ty Lee jumps off her lizard right as it got hit with the wave. Katara opens her water pouch and readies herself as Ty Lee grabs a tree then jumps off it and land on another one as she lands with a somersault to avoid Katara's water whip. Katara dodges her punches then steps back and sends water disks at her.

Ty Lee avoids them then Mai appears as sends arrows at Katara, but Sokka protects her using his machete and boomerang to block them. He throws her boomerang at her and she jumps off her lizard to avoid it. She lands then spins and kicks out her foot which sends more arrows at him. Sokka swings machete to block them. Mai runs at Katara and she runs off. Ty Lee runs then does some cartwheels before jumping and landing next to Sokka. She hits his right arm which causes him to lose feeling as it dangles limply. He tries hitting her with his machete but she does the same thing to it. Sokka looks at both his limp arms then tries kicking her, but the same thing happens. And he loses his balance as he almost falls which Ty Lee takes Advantage of to punch him. However, she hits his head and pulls back her hand as she groans from the pain. She gives him a glare, "Good try, but no." Sokka tells her. (It pays to have a hard head.)

Katara stops as she stands beside the river is about to bend some water at Mai, b the woman tosses knives that pins her wrists to the tree behind her. Katara gasps as she is pinned and Sokka hops over and falls in front of her. "How you doing?" He asks her. "Well, you know." She replies. "I thought when Ty Lee and I finally caught you guys, it would be more exciting. Oh, well, victory is boring." Mai says. But she and Ty Lee scream as they are sent flying and splash into the river. Appa swings his tail then turns around, "Thanks, Appa. I don't know what we'd do without you." Sokka thanks him. Then gets licked in the face by the bison. (Good boy. 😊)

Somewhere down stream, Ty Lee and Mai get out of the water. Mai catches her breath while Ty Lee squeezes water from her braid. "Was it just me, or was that guy kind of cute?" She asks. Mai says nothing.

In an abandoned town within a desert, Aang sits as he waits. He states ahead and soon sees something approaching fast. Azula rides her lizard as she arrives then stops it at distance from Aang. She gets off and stares him down. "All right. You've caught with me. Now, who are you, and what do you want?" Aang asks her. "You mean, you haven't guessed? You don't see the family resemblance." Azula responds with a smirk, "Here's a hint." She shifts her expression into a scowl and covers her left eye, "I must find the Avatar to restore my honor." She says with a gruff tone. (Very convincing. 😒)

Aang stares at her and says nothing. "It's ok. You can laugh. It's funny." Azula says with a smirk. "So what now?" Aang asks her. "Now? Now it's over. You're tired. And you have no place to go. You can run, but I'll catch you." Azula states. "I'm not running." Aang declares as he stands up. Azula's smirk widens as she is eager for a fight.

Toph's P.O.V.

Heck of day. Chased by crazy ladies, Sugar Queen getting on my case, Twinkle Toes too blind, and having to wander on my own. Well, the last part isn't so bad. Now, I'm having tea with some old guy. "Here is your tea." I hear him say. I remember when (Y/N) offered me some food, but I said no. She doesn't have to look after me, and she respects my decisions. I hope she and the goofballs are doing okay.

"You seem a little too young to be traveling alone." I hear the old man say. "You seem a little too old." I respond and accept the tea. He laughs but it's genuine. "Perhaps I am." He says. "I know what you're thinking, I look like I can handle being my myself." I state. A lot of people think that. "I wasn't thinking that." He says. "You wouldn't let me poor my own cup of tea." I counter then sip some tea. "I poured your tea because I wanted to and for no other reason." He tells the truth. (He's an honest man.)

"People see me and think I'm weak. They want to take care of me, but I can take care of myself by myself." I state. "You sound like my nephew, always thinking you need to do things on your own without anyone's support. There is nothing wrong with letting people who love you help you. Not that I love you. Well, I just met you." I laugh at his words. He is quite the wise old man. (Tell me about it.) "So where is your nephew?" I asks. "I've been tracking him actually." He says.

"Is he lost?" I ask. "Yes, a little bit. His life has recently changed, and he's going through very difficult times. He's trying to figure out who he is, and he went away." He says. I can hear his sadness in his voice. He really cares a lot about his nephew but he's giving him space, yet he still is there. "So now you're following him." I state. "I know he doesn't want me around right now, but if he needs me, I'll be there." He says. Like how (Y/N) is there for me. She stood up for me against my parents, like she fights to protect her friends, and how she gives space but lets others know she's there. Maybe Katara wasn't being controlling, she just wanted me to be a part of the team. Help carry all of our weight. (Still a Sugar Queen, though.)

"Your nephew is very lucky, even if he doesn't know it." I place my cup on the ground and stand up. "Thank you." I tell him. "My pleasure. Sharing tea with a fascinating stranger is one of life's true delights." He says. "No. Thank you for what you said. It helped me." I say clearly then pick up my bag. "I'm glad." I start walking but stop, "Oh, and about your nephew, maybe you should tell him that you need him, too." I say. I continue walking. Now, to help those goofballs with those crazy chicks.

Third Person P.O.V.

Aang and Azula continue their stare down while the lizard hisses. "Do you really want to fight me?" Azula mocks Aang. But her smirk drops as an ostrich horse appears and two people jump off it and stand between the Avatar and Fire Princess. "Yes. I really do." Zuko stands and tosses his hat away. "And you're gonna pay for costing us sleep." (Y/N) states as she takes out her bola-knife. "Zuko!" Aang gasps at seeing the Fire Prince. "Hey, bud." (Y/N) smiles at him then glares at Azula. "I was wondering when you'd show up, Zu-Zu. And I see you made a friend." Azula crosses her arms while smirking at her brother. Aang covers his mouth as he snickers, "Zu-Zu?" He repeats.

(Y/N) glances at Zuko, "That's your nickname?" She asks him. "It's an insult." He tells her. (Y/N) shrugs a shoulder then the two assume a stance, "Back off, Azula. He's mine." Zuko tells Azula. "I'm not going anywhere." Azula states as she assumes a stance as well. It became a stand still as all four wait in suspense at who would make the first move. (The air is so thick you would need a chainsaw to cut it.)

It is tense silence until Azula's smirk widens and Zuko notices. She shoots directly at him and he bends a fire to shield himself while (Y/N) jumps back to the side as he rams into a pillar of wood. Aang opens his staff to fly away, but Azula shoots a jet of fire and lowers it down at him. Aang feels the heat and uses his staff to disperse it as he hovers to avoid hitting the ground. Azula jumps and runs along a roof as she jumps down and lands beside him, sweeping her foot as fire shoots out of it. Aang managed to jump away from it and she looks around to find him.

She avoids a stone that almost her head and grabs the rope then looks back at (Y/N), she shoots flames at her but (Y/N) only moves her head. She feels the intense heat of the flames and adjusts her stance as she pulls on her rope. The pull being stronger than Azula anticipated and she is pulled forward, losing her balance for only a moment but quickly restores it as she sees (Y/N) swing the knife at her. She lowers her head and avoids it as she shoots fire with both her hands which (Y/N) moves to be on her back to avoid them.

During that, Zuko tries to capture Aang as she bends fire at him. Azula gets up and does the same but Aang manages to avoid them and moves so that Azula is in the middle of him and Zuko. They exchange blows of fire and air while (Y/N) rolls to the side then gets up and puts away her bola knife as she takes out her fans. She takes aim then inhales deeply through her nose and exhales through her mouth as she does a spin and toss them. Zuko and Azula both aim at Aang but their wrists are hit and they shoot fire that misses him.

Zuko takes the opportunity to jump, front flips in the air and bend fire out of his foot as he lands with a stomp at Azula. Orange and blue flames clash as the siblings shoot fire at each other while dodging the other's. Azula sends line at him that forces him to step back then she shoots at Aang. He dodges it then enters a building with Azula following him. (Y/N) reclaims her fans as she follows as well.

Aang enters another doorway and Azula follows him but gasps and stops, and tries to regain her balance so to not fall as there most of the floor. Aang waves at her as he hovers in the air thanks to his air scooter. Azula's steps forward and does a front split to catch herself on the side. She jumps and stand next to the doorway then (Y/N) appears but stops before falling and hops onto the other side. Zuko appears but ends up running off the floor and falls, landing with a crash. (Ooh!) (Y/N) and Aang wince in sympathy for him, but the ladder's scooter is fading and he gasps as Azula goes to shoot fire at him, but her wrist is grabbed by (Y/N). She shoots anyway and Aang is moves to avoid it then runs along the side and pushes her to the floor with (Y/N) letting her go.

The two make a break for it and avoid a stream of fire from Azula as they jump onto the ground. They duck their heads as Zuko gets knocked out of the building and goes unconscious. Azula charges at Aang but (Y/N) gets in front of her. She moves to fire at her, but (Y/N) grabs her wrist and has her fingers point it up right as fire shoots out of them. Azula tries to get her wrist free, but (Y/N)'s grip is strong. She goes to use her other hand to shoot at (Y/N) but she notices and quickly grabs it as well and fire shoots at the ground.

With both her wrists grabbed, Azula does a front kick but (Y/N) leans her head back then gets on her back and places her foot on Azula's stomach to send her back. The two get up and Azula shoots fire at her, (Y/N) moves to avoid it. However, her left shoulder gets slightly burnt but she is not deterred. She charges at Azula and the Fire Princess tries to get Aang as he jumps across walls to climb up. She bends a stream of fire to cut a piece of the building Aang is standing on and he jumps to avoid it collapsing, but ends up struggle keep his grip on the roof.

Azula bends another stream but gets tackled by (Y/N) which ends up causing her to blast below Aang and for him to fall down. He screams and ends up in a pile of rubble, he looks and sees (Y/N) be thrown through the doorway and land on her front. The two look at Azula as she extends her arms out and sets fire to the place as a wall surrounds them. Aang tries to get out as (Y/N) gets up and takes out her knife. Azula smirks as she holds up her hand, ready to strike down (Y/N) and get Aang. (Y/N) is unafraid as she readies herself before Azula could act, Katara appears in the doorway and bends water to wrap around Azula's arm. She holds her in place as she bends another stream of water to break the wood that pinned Aang. "Katara!" Aang exclaims in relief. (What timing!)

Azula breaks free of the water and shoots fire at Katara, who runs off to avoid it. Before she could give chase, Azula feels her shoulder be grabbed and looks back at (Y/N) to find she has a furious glare. Azula is thrown out of the building and lands on the ground. but recovers quickly and chases after Katara. But Sokka appears from another building and swings his machete at her. She ducks and avoids his swings while stepping back. She is surrounded by the four as they advance to her.

Zuko groans and opens his eyes to find Iroh looking down at him. "Uncle." He says in a gruff but relieved tone. "Get up." Iroh tells him, lending a hand to help Zuko up.

Aang jumps as Azula bends fire at him then she counters Katara's water with her fire and shoots at Sokka who avoids it. (Y/N) takes out one of her fans as Azula bends fire at them but she swings her arm to fan away some flames and charge at her. Azula bends a wave of flames at her, but she ducks and launches at her. In slow motion, (Y/N) swings her knife at Azula and the princess shoots fire at her. (Y/N) is able to narrowly avoid the flames as she feels the heat against her cheek and Azula moves her own to avoid the blade. However, (Y/N)'s eyes narrow and adjusts her grip, cutting Azula on her left cheek.

In regular speed, the two jump away from each other and Azula holds a hand or her face. She pulls back to find a little blood on her fingers then looks up at (Y/N) to find that she has some slight red on her face but is unaffected. (This girl is truly her father's daughter. Not afraid of the flame. 🔥) Azula hardens her expression but ground below her shifts suddenly and she falls down. "I thought you guys could use a little help." Toph says from behind her. "Thanks." Katara thanks her. (THANK YOU! 💚 🙇‍♀️)

Azula stands up and backs away, shooting fire at them as she runs down an alley and tries to escape. But Iroh appears and uses his large gut to push her back. She ends up cornered as the group, Zuko and Iroh trap her. "Well, look at this. Enemies and traitors all working together. I'm done. I know when I'm beaten. You got me. A princess surrenders with honor." Azula says, holding her hands up in surrender. However, no one made a move. Iroh glances over at Toph then at the others and Azula smirks as she lowers herself and shoots fire at Iroh, hitting him in the chest. (GAAAAASPPP! 😱)

He screams and falls unconscious. Zuko gasps in horror and (Y/N) looks in shock then becomes furious. Zuko, Toph, Katara and Aang bend their respective elements at Azula with Sokka throwing his boomerang. Azula bends fire to surround her, protecting her from the elements and Sokka's boomerang but her eyes widen and barely dodges a knife that almost went through her head but cut her right cheek, stabbing into the wall and cracking it a little. She looks at (Y/N) to find her with an expression of absolute fury and her arm out after having thrown the knife. (Oh, dang. 😨) An explosion happens and large smoke cloud appears.

Once it vanishes, Azula is gone. The group relax a little but then look to find Zuko sitting beside Iroh. Zuko groans and covers his eyes in anguish at his uncle being injured. (Y/N) puts away her knife after retrieving it from the wall and walks over to him. The others walk over too and right as (Y/N) reached out her hand to comfort Zuko, "Get away from us!" He shouts and she pulls her hand back. Toph feels with heels seismic sense and frowns in worry at Iroh, but he groans and it soothes her knowing that he is alive. "Zuko, I can help." Katara offers as she takes a step to them. "LEAVE!" Zuko shouts and bends a wave of fire at them. They duck to avoid it and stare at the two then begin to leave.

(Y/N) remains and stares at Iroh in worry. Zuko stares at her as he pants but does and say nothing at her. He turns away to look at his uncle and (Y/N) remains where she is, wanting to help Zuko. She jumps as she feels a hand on her shoulder and sees Katara. She gives her an understanding frown and (Y/N) gives one last look at the nephew and uncle then walks away. (Poor Zuko. 😔)

Much later, the sky is dark and lit up with stars as Appa lands on a mountain and the whole group sleep except for (Y/N). She turns to lay on her left side, facing away from the group, taking out the red gem necklace. She caress the jewel and exhaustion finally hits her as she closes her eyes and fall asleep.
