It has been a few weeks since Michael left to convince everyone to go to war with the humans I've been with Austin i've been siting next to him since i found out that we were having a child together i had just woken up not to long ago i turn to look at Austin still holding his hand."Hey Austin morning i hope you wake up soon." I say Austin twitch."Yeah that's it there you go come on keep going you can do it open your eyes." I see Austin twitch more and i saw his eyes open."W-w-where am i-i?" "Hey Austin your at the hospital I brought you here." "R-ritchie i-is that y-you?" he had started to cough so i handed him a glass of water he finished it and stoped coughing."Yeh it's me you alright?"Yeah i-i'm fine i-it hurt a-a lot though." The door opened and Michael walked in."Hey Ritchie i'm back i got them to agree it took some convinceing but i was able to get them to agree." "That's good news hopefully we can win." Michael turned and looked at Austin."So your finally awake how are you feeling and what do you remember?" "I-im fine a bit week from n-not eating and a-a-all i remember is t-the gas and being c-carried away a-and darkness and t-the pain i-i-it hurt s-so much." Austin started to cry I pulled him into my chest and held him he buried his head into my neck and continued to cry i rubbed my hand in circles on his back."Shhhhh it's alright your fine your safe it will be okay i'll protect you." Austin stoped crying i felt him go limp."Is he alright I didn't mean to upset him." "He's fine just sleeping." I layed Austin back down and covered him with his blanket."I'm gonna go check on my territory again and give you some alone time." Michael walked back out the door I turned back to Austin and help his hand I layed my head down and drifted off to sleep.

Austin's pov

I was in the darkness again then I heard a voice I twitched and the voice encouraged me to wake up I twitched more and opened my eyes I spoke with Ritchie and then Michael walked in I answered some questions and then he asked what I remembered and then I broke down crying Ritchie pulled me into his chest and comforted me I felt safe and he was sooo warm I eventually drifted off to sleep

Ritchie pov

I woke up again holding Austin's hand I watched him open his eyes."Morning Austin how are you feeling?" "I'm alright i feel better my throat hurt it made me stutter but it's better now." "That's good are you hungry?" "Yeah a bit." I got up and went and got some soup and handed the spoon to him but he could couldn't hold it without his hand shaking so I took the spoon and started to feed him."Is it good?" "Yeah thanks for helping me." "No problem Austin if you need me i'm here." Austin finished the soup and layed back down and fell asleep I pulled the blanket up over him and held his hand I cupped his face and kissed his forehead."Don't worry Austin i'll be here for you as long as you need me i'm so sorry you got hurt I won't let anyone hurt you ever again I love you." I let go of his face and lay my head down thinking about how I was going to tell Austin everything as I drifted off to sleep.
