Prompt:

"What are you doing?"

*hanging upside down from monkey bars* "Trying to kiss you."

"You're gonna fall."

...

"Shut up and kiss me I'm getting light-headed."

___

(I immediately thought to use Samuel and Audrey from my story, The Hot Angel, for this prompt, so here we go!)

___

"So you're telling me you've never been to a park?" I demand.

"I'm an Angel, Audrey," Samuel says in his beautiful melody, walking next to me.

I smile. Samuel surprised me with a visit today. He's kinda bending the rules by being here with me, but I'm grateful.

I haven't seen him in almost a year, and I thought he wouldn't be coming back, but here he is. He doesn't wear his pure white robe and has his full wings out like the last time I saw him. Instead, he wears jeans, a button down shirt, and a pair of low-heeled boots.

The one thing that remains the same, though, is his slight angelic glow and his inhuman beauty.

"They don't have parks in Heaven?" I ask as we approach my neighborhood's park, taking a glance at his perfect face.

"If it does, I've never been to one," he says, looking back at me with his gorgeous brown eyes.

"Well, here we are," I announce as we reach the entrance of the park. It's a sad and small park, but still a park nonetheless.

He studies the park. He studies the rusting metal on the swings, the weeds growing underneath the slide set, and the drooping trees.

"This park looks sad," he concludes.

"It's still a park!" I laugh, grabbing his soft hand and pulling him toward the slides.

"Wait," he says, abruptly stopping in the middle of the park. He's so strong, my shoulder almost pops out of my socket when he stops.

Samuel looks at the swing set, and suddenly, the rust and age starts to fade away. When he's done, the swing set looks just like new.

Then he turns his gaze to the slide set and monkey bars. The weeds disappear into the ground and, just like the swing set, it suddenly looks like new.

He smiles and looks up at the trees. They seem to suddenly gain back their color and they stand up tall. The molch on the ground even seems to be renewed. Birds even start to come! They rest in the now beautiful trees and start to sing.

He even cleans up the park sign!

"Are you kidding me?" I exclaim, looking at him. The natural human response would be to freak out, but I don't find myself doing that.

"That looks better," he says.

"That was amazing," I gawk.

He smiles his absolutely radiant smile. "Where were you leading me again?"

"Right," I say. "The slides." I guide him up the steps and to the top of the slide.

"Now just sit and push yourself off," I say.

"Off the edge?" he asks, sitting on the slide.

I roll my eyes. "No, down the slide."

"Ah," he says. He pushes himself and he glides down the slide.

How can he even look graceful sliding down a slide?

He looks up at me when he reaches the bottom, an unimpressed look on his face. "That was...cool."

"Oh fine, so you don't like the slide," I mumble, jumping off the side of the slide and starting to walk toward the swings. "We'll try the swings now."

He frowns. "Why did you jump?"

"I felt like it."

"You could have been hurt."

"It's like five feet off the ground!"

"That does not matter," he grumbles.

"Would you get up?" I say, seeing him still sitting at the bottom of the slide.

He springs up and in a split second, he's next to me.

I blink. "Why are you super fast and super strong all of a sudden."

"I'm an Angel, Audrey," he smiles.

I blink at his bright smile before I shake out of it and gesture to a swing seat. "Sit," I order.

He sits.

"Okay, now hold on tight," I say, walking behind him. "Don't fly off."

He grips the metal chains. "Alright."

I push him hard, expecting him to be heavy, but he's light as a feather.

What sense does that make?

"Woah," he mumbles as he starts to gain some height.

When he comes back to me, I push him again, sending him higher.

"Woah!" he exclaims, louder this time.

I continue to push him and he continues to climb higher and higher.

"Audrey what are you doing to me?" I hear him shout.

"You're swinging!" I call back. "Bring your legs back and forth!"

"It's like flying!" he shouts excitedly.

I laugh. He sounds like a child.

I wonder what an outsider would think of this situation. I know I would snicker if I saw a teenage-looking boy getting excited over a swing set.

It's kind of adorable.

I step out from behind him and watch him swing happily.

"How do I get down?" he asks after a bit.

I shrug. "You jump."

The next time he reaches max hight, I watch as he jumps off the swing and lands right on his feet.

Guess how he did it.

Yep. Gracefully.

My jaw drops and his eyes light up when he looks at me.

"That was exhilarating," he laughs in his melody.

"I didn't think you would actually jump," I say quietly.

"You told me to," he frowns.

"Wow."

"What?"

"Nothing," I laugh nervously. "Climb these monkey bars now," I say, heading toward them.

I demonstrate for him how to swing from bar to bar, but I fall half way through.

"Do what I did, but don't fall," I say.

He breezes through the monkey bars like it's nothing.

"Can you stop being good at everything," I mumble.

"I did what you told me to!" he protests.

"Okay, can you do this?" I ask as I grasp a monkey bar. I swing my legs up and through a bar so that I'm now hanging upside down from the monkey bars.

He steps toward me. "What are you doing?"

"Hanging upside down from these monkey bars," I say. "Now you."

With ease, he mimicks my movements and hangs upside down from a bar right in front of me.

I look into his eyes and he laughs as he folds his hands over his stomach. "This is interesting."

I keep looking into his eyes. The last time I kissed him was over a year ago before I thought he was leaving for good. It wasn't a good kiss, because I freaked out, and I've always wondered what would happen if I was just a little more confident.

"What are you thinking about?" he asks me.

I reach out and touch his perfect face. I still can't fathom how soft his skin is.

"Audrey," he says, his powerful voice hitting me like a wave. "What are you doing?"

I anxiously grab his arms and pull myself toward him. "Trying to kiss you."

His eyes dart to my legs. "You are going to fall."

I shrug. "You'll catch me."

"Audrey," he says, taking my hands. "I am an Angel, you are a human. You must stop thinking of me like that."

"Aw, just one?" I pout. I am honestly so anxious right now, but I don't care.

"Audrey."

"Shut up and kiss me. I'm getting light headed."

He frowns as he seems to consider his options. He's an Angel, so he can probably get out of this situation any way he wants.

Finally, he sighs and meets my eyes again. "Just one and we'll be done with this whole thing?" he asks.

I grin. "Sure."

He sighs and almost rolls his eyes. "I cannot believe I'm doing this."

Then he suddenly places a soft hand on my cheek. "Only for you, Audrey."

And then our lips meet.

They. Are. So. Soft.

And unlike last time when he just stood there like a rock when I kissed him, he actually moved his lips!

I don't know how to describe the kiss any other way than this:

It feels perfect.

A little too perfect.

My whole body goes slack and I feel myself start to fall to the ground.

Within a split second, Samuel's eyes flash open and he pulls away, gets to his feet, drops to one knee underneath me, and catches me in his arms.

Dazed, I grin and look into his panicked eyes. "Wow...you're fast."

He loosens his grip on my legs and sighs. "Are we done with this now?"

I nod slowly, dazed. "Yeah, sure."

We share a look.

"Something tells me that you will continue to think of me like that," Samuel says.

I shrug. "Maybe."

He sighs. "Alright. It's not that big of a deal I guess."

"It better not be."

"Can we please put this behind us?" he asks. "I only have a few hours left."

"Okay fine," I say, getting comfortable in his arms. "What do you wanna do now?"

He smiles. "I would like to go on the swings again."

How's that for a first prompt response

(it's first because I haven't done the actual first one yet lol. I'll get around to that).
