A man exited a room sweating badly. He is walking wiping his sweat using a towel with one hand and holding a bottle with other hand. He just completed his gym and entered the house from his gym room that is located outside the house. He was getting down the stairs when someone called him.
"Sanskar baba!" Someone called him.
He turned and smiled at the woman. She was his care taker since childhood and also their cook. Kamala Kaki.
"Yes Kaki!" he responded with smile.
"What do you want for breakfast?" she asked with smile.
"What did ma asked for?" He asked wiping off his hands.
"Ma'am told she would have whatever you wants to have today." She replied.
Sanskar smiled.
"Umm... Do one thing. Make Aloo ke parantha and Aloo Matar. Lucky loves them. So you no need to ask what he wants today." Sanskar said.
"Okay baba!" Saying kaki was about to leave but Sanskar stopped her.
"Kaki make some gajar ka halwa too. Lucky loves it." He said.
Kamala kaki nodded and left from there. Sanskar looked above towards a particular room and smiled. He moved down the stairs completely and went towards a room. He looked inside to see his mother reading some book.
"Good morning ma!" he wished entering into the room.
"Good morning beta!" she replied looking above the book.
"What are you reading?" He asked sitting opposite to her.
"This one! Just some old book which I already read. If you have some suggestions give me. I would want to read something new!" She said.
And both Son and mother got busy in discussing about books. After few minutes he said he would freshen up and left to his room. He freshen up himself, got ready for office. Then he moved towards the room, the one besides his room. He slowly pushed the door of the room to see a handsome young boy sleeping peacefully on his front with his mouth half open. Sanskar chuckled seeing him. He moved towards the boy and sat near his head. He bent a little and closed his mouth. The boy gulped in sleep and again opened his mouth. Sanskar smiled seeing him. He slowly caressed the boy's hair.
"Lucky! Bacha! Wake up!" He spoke softly caressing his hair and lovingly.
The boy moved in sleep but went to deep sleep again.
"Bacha! Wake up babu!" He once again woke him.
He moved again in sleep but this time opened his eyes a little. His eyes look very tired even after peaceful sleep. Sanskar smiled while Laksh puts his head on Sanskar's lap hugging him through waist.
"Wake up Lucky!" Sanskar said caressing his hair.
"Bhayya five minutes please!" Laksh said in deep sleepy voice.
Sanskar smiled and let his brother sleep for five more minutes. He knows his brother would be exhausted due to his semester exams that lasted for ten days till the previous day. The next five minutes all he did was to stare at his brother's calm face with smile caressing his hair.
"Wake up bacha!" Sanskar said again.
This time Laksh woke up not troubling his brother any more.
"Have food and go to sleep again. Go freshen up!" Sanskar said as Laksh just hugged him sitting beside him.
"No bhayya I will come to office!" Laksh said.
"Arey but your exams got over just yesterday. Your eyes look still tired. Take rest for today babu!" Sanskar said caressing his hair.
"No bhayya. I am fine. Two days later it's anyway weekend. I can rest then." Laksh said.
"But..." Sanskar got interrupted.
"Please!" Laksh looked at Sanskar with his most cutest pleasing face.
Sanskar could only melt and nod yes. Laksh smiled brightly.
"Freshen up. Kaki will send your food." Sanskar said.
Laksh nodded and left to freshen up after hugging his brother tight once again. Sanskar moved to his room. He moved to the balcony and looked down towards their out house. He saw a beautiful girl coming out of the house in hurry and moving towards a middle aged man standing near Sanskar's car. He could see her cute angry expressions and scolding the middle aged man forwarding her medicines. He smiled. The girl casually turned and her eyes met his. Her lips curved up into a beautiful smile as she saw him staring her. He nodded and she nodded back before going back into the house. The middle aged who saw them and sighed sadly. He continued his work of cleaning the car. Sanskar went inside to take all his things. Fetching all his things he went to his mother's room only to see her waiting for him.
"Sorry ma!" He said rushing towards her.
"It's okay beta!" She said and served his food.
He smiled and had his food talking to his mother.
"Okay ma! Have a nice day!" he wished her before coming out of the room.
He looked around searching his brother.
"Lucky!" he called him a bit loud to make sure that his brother could hear him.
"Coming bhayya!" Laksh screamed back from his room.
Annapurna Maheshwari just stood stiff in the entrance of her room stopping herself from coming out of the room. Next second she came towards Sanskar again.
"Sanskar!" She called him.
"Haan ma!" he responded turning towards her.
"Mr. Rathod has called me last evening. I totally forgot to tell you. He was saying that Dev was going out of station for a week for a break. Why don't you go along with him?" She asked.
"Ma Dev asked me to join. But I really can't go at present. I am really busy regarding a project. Production is also having a little glitch. Have to deal with that. Will ask if Lucky would join him!" Sanskar spoke.
Annapurna stiffened once again listening his last sentence. She left from there.
"Sorry bhayya!" Laksh apologised hurrying towards his brother.
Annapurna stopped at the entrance of the door before entering her room.
"You had breakfast?" Sanskar asked making Laksh's shirt collar proper.
"Yes bhayya. Let's go. We are getting late." Laksh spoke.
"Before that..." Sanskar gets interrupted.
"Yes I know. Praying to god." Laksh said.
Sanskar smiled and nodded. Laksh and Sanskar moved towards the temple area. Both of them stood outside the temple area and joined their hands. Annapurna looked at them from the entrance.
"Done!" Laksh said.
Sanskar smiled and nodded. He turned to see his mother seeing at them. He smiled at her.
"Bye ma!" Sanskar said.
Laksh looked at her while she looked away. Laksh looked down and walked away leaving Sanskar behind.
"Ma!" Sanskar called her.
"Bye beta! Have a good day. Don't skip your meals!" She said and went inside.
Sanskar sighed and followed his brother. As he moved out he saw his brother standing near the car waiting for him.
"Get in Lucky!" Sanskar said.
Laksh nodded. Laksh was about to get in when he saw the same girl whom Sanskar saw earlier coming out of the house.
"Kusum di!" he chirped happily.
Sanskar stopped himself from entering into the car and looked at her. She smiled at Laksh.
"You are going to office?" Laksh asked.
"Yes Lucky!" She responded smiling at the boy.
"Let's go together. Come!" he said holding her hand.
"She will go by bus Laksh baba!" they heard a voice and turned to see the middle aged man standing near the driving seat of the car.
"But Ramu kaka we are also going to office only right. What is there if she comes along with us?" Laksh asked.
Sanskar stood silent all the time staring at Kusum.
"No baba. She would go by bus. Kusum go. You will get late." Ramu kaka said.
"Ji papa!" Saying she went from there giving a nod to Laksh.
Laksh looked the way she went sadly.
"Why kaka?" he asked sadly.
"It's important Laksh baba. Driver's daughter should not be sitting along with owner in the same car." Ramu kaka said and got into the driving seat.
Sanskar looked on fisting his hand tight. Laksh looked at Sanskar sadly. Sanskar signed Laksh to get in. Laksh nodded and got into the car. As they were going they saw Kusum walking towards the bus stop.
"Kaka stop!" Sanskar said suddenly.
Kaka stopped the car.
"Get into the car Kusum!" Sanskar said.
She looked at her father who shook his head as no.
"This is not said by the owner of the car but your best friend since school!" Sanskar said.
Kusum again looked at her father. He finally gave in and nodded yes. She got in and sat beside Laksh. Laksh grinned happily. Sanskar smiled a little as he saw that smile on Laksh's face.
"Let's go kaka!" Sanskar said.
Kaka drove off.
"How did your exams go Lucky?" Kusum asked.
"Awesome di." He said grinning.
"You could have rested. You look tired. You had not slept properly for the last ten days!" Kusum said with concerned.
"I will rest on the weekend di." He said.
"You have just ten days to rest and you chose to work." Kusum said shaking her head.
"Bhayya doesn't even rest even weekends. Then you don't even scold him. Now you are scolding me." He pouted.
Kusum looked at Sanskar who is sitting in the front seat beside the driver. Sanskar looked at her too. Kaka stayed silent.
"How is Ragini?" Kusum diverted the topic.
"She was tired. Was whining all the time last evening till I dropped her home saying that she was exhausted. So I didn't call her in the morning." He said smiling.
Sanskar smiled as he heard his brother's voice had that happiness when he spoke about Ragini. Kusum too smiled. They reached the office. Kusum looked at Sanskar before getting down and left from there.
"Kaka you can go home. Ma needs car. She said she has some get together with her friends." Sanskar said before getting down.
Kaka nodded.
"Bhayya you go. I will come. Ragini is calling. I will talk to her and come." Laksh said.
Sanskar nodded.
"Sanskar baba!" Kaka called him.
Sanskar looked at him.
"Next time please don't ask Kusum to get into the car. She will go by bus!" Kaka said.
Sanskar sighed and just got down the car. He went into the lift to find Kusum also in the lift. He just kept staring her while she did the same.
"You had breakfast?" he asked softly.
She nodded.
"Happy Birthday!" he said.
"Thank You!" she said with smile.
She thought he forgot. But he didn't.
"I would never forget!" He said reading her mind.
She looked at him while he nodded. She looked down. Her eyes turned teary and he knows that. He was about to talk to her but the lift stopped. He gave a final look to her and left towards his cabin. Kusum wiped off her tears and left to her cabin.
As Sanskar entered his cabin he was surprised to see his best friend waiting for him.
"Oye! What are you doing here?" he asked hugging Dev tight.
"I thought my best friend needs me!" Dev said smiling as they broke the hug.
"Huh?" Sanskar asked confused.
"Today is Kusum's birthday!" Dev said.
Sanskar sighed and nodded.
"Atleast did you wish her?" Dev asked.
Sanskar nodded.
"Just let the feelings out Sanskar. You deserve to be loved too!" Dev explained.
"I am being loved Dev. Lucky, Ma both of them love me. And you, don't you love me?" Sanskar asked.
"I am not speaking about that love Sanskar. You know that. Atleast think about her. She has been waiting for you, fighting for you even with her father not getting married. You know how much she loves you." Dev tried to explain.
"Bhayya!" Laksh came in suddenly ending their discussion abruptly.
Both of them looked at him who looked annoyed.
"What happened?" Sanskar asked.
"That stupid Ragini! She wants me to accompany her for shopping now. I denied but she is saying she won't talk to me if I don't accompany her!" Laksh pouted.
Laksh got a hit on his head making him look more annoyed at the person. Laksh's eyes widened when he saw Dev there.
"Buddy! What are...you doing here?" he asked shocked and gulping.
"Let's talk about it later. Shouldn't we get concerned to know how Stupid my sister is?" Dev asked glaring him.
Sanskar smiled seeing them.
"Sorry!" Laksh said looking down and cursing himself for not noticing Dev there before calling Ragini stupid.
"Ahan!" Dev commented glaring him.
"I said sorry na Buddy! Now why are you glaring me? You don't say anything to her when she annoys me especially when she asks me to shopping. You know I hate shopping. Especially with her. She eats up my whole energy just for roaming all over the mall but buys nothing!" Laksh huffs sitting on the chair.
Sanskar chuckles lightly while Dev shakes his head in disbelief.
"So now you won't go?" Dev asked frowning.
"I have no option. She would stop talking to me if I don't go!" Laksh said pouting.
"And you won't be able to sleep if you don't blabber your whole day routine to her before going to sleep!" Sanskar said.
Laksh nodded. Dev smiled. He could see how much this cute boy loves his sister but he sighs sadly as he had openly said 'No' to her when she had proposed him. When asked for reason he said he doesn't have such feelings towards her but he had said that her proposal wouldn't effect their friendship.
"Lucky do one thing!" Sanskar said.
"Go get some beautiful sari! Take Ragu's help!" Sanskar said.
"Why?" Laksh asked.
Sanskar became silent. Dev looked at him and understood.
"I asked him to get one from online Lucky. But this man has assigned the work to you. You forgot today is Kusum's birthday. I wanted to gift her something. You know she is one of my best friends." Dev spoke.
"Oh No! I totally forgot it due to exhaustion because of exams. I have to do something special for di. Bhayya today I am not working. I have lots of work. I will get a sari for di. Bye!" Saying Laksh ran from there.
Dev looked at Sanskar.
"You could have get one for by yourself Sanskar." Dev said.
"She would understand!" Sanskar said.
"All she could do was only that." Dev commented and left from there making Sanskar feel even more guilt.
