S: Mother's always know about my sexual preferences, even before I met John. She wasn't surprised. Neither was my Father. I think they were just glad that I did actually have a preference. If I remember rightly, and I always do, they found out by accident. They walked in on myself and one of Mycroft's fellow class members. I've always preferred older men.

J: Why is this the first I've heard of this?

S: You didn't ask.

J: Next time I hear that from you or Charlie, I will slap you both.

S: That's hardly fair. I have no control over her actions.

J: What were you and this guy doing..?

S: Just kissing.

J: And if they didn't walk in?

S: I was 15, John. I didn't become sexually active until 17.

J: Right. Sorry.

S: Your mother reacted well, didn't she?

J: Oh! Yeah. Mum was fine with me being with another man. she said, and I quote, 'it's no surprise considering the why you talk about that Sherlock'. Sherlock's the only man I've ever been with so no coming out stories from me, sorry!

S: *kisses John's cheek*

J: What was that for?

S: Do I need a reason?

J: I suppose not, no.
