Jason

We were doing 100 down the highway racing to the hospital. Fuck all the traffic laws, we had to make it there before it was too late.

We definitely dropped the ball on this mission and I couldn't be more mad at myself. It was my responsibility to assure that we all went in whole and we all came back out whole.

Here we were racing against time. As Luckie swerved in and out of traffic my phone rung. I ignored the call but it immediately rang again. It had to be something important; "speak"

"Boss the grounds were infiltrated" one of my guys said through the phone.

"THE GROUNDS WERE WHAT!" I shouted as the vein in my neck pulsated.

"Yes , we loss at least a third of our team but we killed them all."

"How are the women and children?" I asked as I took a deep breath.

"They are fine, no one got into the house. Strap with them now."

"Alright, we will be home after we finish taking care of some business. Tell them to pack their stuff,  we will have to move again."

"Copy that."

I ended the call and banged my hands on the back of the seat. This some real bullshit.

I don't think I can take anymore bad news.

"What's going on at the house?" Luckie asked as he watched me through the rear view mirror.

"He figured it out! He figured out the safe house! But how? No on-"

Before I could finish my thoughts Luckie cut me off; "how are the girls? The kids?"

"They gucci, nobody got in the house. Now as I was saying, no one knew where we were staying but the staff. Which means we have a fucking rat!"

I treat all these niggas like family, nobody better, everyone equal!

When I eat they eat! They wanna betray me and put my family in harms way.

Heads finna roll, even if I gotta get a whole new team, somebody gotta pay for this shit.

We pulled up to Grady and rushed into the Emergency room; "somebody help us! He's been shot!" Luckie and I yelled out in unison.

Nurses ran towards us with a gurney, we laid his body onto it and they rolled him away. We tried to follow but a nurse stopped us; "sorry you guys cant go back here." she explained.

"Wait right here, someone will be back out shortly to update you on his status"

I nodded; "we need him on the top floor. I'll pay whatever" I informed her.

"Okay I can make that happen, my husband works for you so I know you are good for it" the nurse nodded; "he is in good hands, I assure you!"

"Thank you, I appreciate it" I hugged her and placed a roll of hundreds in her pocket.

I turned to the guys; "y'all stay here, imma go get the fam and I will be right back"

"Bet" Luckie responded; "be safe bro" he dapped me up.

"You know I am. If the doctor come out before I'm back call me"

"We gotcha"

I hugged them, I held on a little longer than I normally would. I'm so pissed at myself right now, how could I put my entire family in danger.

I hoped inside my truck and sped home. 45 minutes later I was approaching the gates, the doors opened for me and I pulled into the driveway, hopping out.

I ran through the door, where I was met with the sight of the girls and my kids.

Sighing in relief I ran over to them all; I'm so happy y'all are okay, I'm so so so sorry" I said choking up.

My family meant the world to me and the fact that they were put in danger had me about to break down. I hugged all the women tightly, then bent down to my kids and held them in my arms.

I kissed my baby girl's forehead and dapped my son up. "Dad I protected Jewel and Zay" he said to me looking me in my eyes like I always taught him.

Jewel punched him in the arm; "no JJ, that's my Zay"

He rubbed his arm; "ouch, sorry Jewels, I meant Rel"

We all laughed; "Okay I need y'all to go with Sophie, go into the garage and get into the car ok?"

"Yes dad" they said in unison. Sophie grabbed their hands softly and headed towards the garage. Four of the soldiers followed her with their bags.

"Where are the rest of the guys?" Kiari asked as we stood there.

I didn't know how I was gonna break this news to them. Hell I damn near broke down myself. "The guys are at the hospital"

They all eyed me intently; "wh- who got hurt Jason?" Jurianna asked holding her stomach.

I breathed deeply; "It's Jas-

Before I could even get it all out Kiari was out the door.

"What happened Jason?" Mani asked

"Let's get to the cars, I'll explain everything on the way there" I said grabbing two suitcases in my hands.

"What we gonna do with all the rest of our stuff?" Toya asked as she clutched Rel in her arms.

"Imma have everything shipped to the new place"

We all walked into the garage, I noticed one of my cars was gone, my fastest car at that. I knew my lil sis was gonna let me have it once he came to.

During the blackout everything was cool, we was all shielding ourselves but some how he got hit in his abdomen. By the time we got him to the car he had loss so much blood that he passed out.

I made sure everyone was situated in the trucks and we pulled out heading towards the hospital.

We pulled up and before I could even come to a complete stop Jurianna was hopping out; "aight hurt my niece or nephew if you want to" I stated getting out of the car and grabbing a sleeping Jewel.

She shot the middle finger at me and kept it moving. We all rode the elevator to the top floor where Ri was pacing the floor.

"What the fuck happened?" She raised her voice.

I ran down tonights events from start to finish. "As soon as he was hit we retreated and came here" I said trying to calm her.

She was so mad that she was literally shaking. I couldn't even look her in the eyes. Yes he was my brother, but this was her other half, her soul mate.

She sat down and placed her head in her hands, lowering them into her lap. I knew she was crying because her breathing had switched up. Jurianna walked over to her and sat by her and rubbed her back soothingly.

"I can't lose him" she cried out; "he's literally the best part of me, that's my best friend. I don't know what I would do with out him" she stated as tears raced down her face and her breathing picked up.

"We got the best doctor in there working on him sis, he gonna be straight"  Luckie said as he walked over to her.

Her eyes met his and she began to wipe tears but it was no use they were constantly flowing. "I need to see him, I haven't seen him in two weeks then this happens. I need to see him. I need him to know that I'm here" she said all in one breath.

"Sis I need you to calm down before you have a panic attack" Luckie said as he brought her a bottled water and squatted in front of her; "here drink this"

She drunk the water and laid her head back onto the wall as she closed her eyes. Her body was still visibly shaking.

"Family of Jasper Adams" a female doctor said as she came through the waiting room doors.

Kiari was the first one in front of her ready to listen intently.

"We stopped the bleeding, the bullet pierced his lungs, which initially means that he stopped breathing. I immediately started a needle decompression, inserting a needle between his ribs to allow proper air flow. Once he was stable enough I inserted a chest tube to help him breath. As of right now he is unable to breath on his own, which caused us to place him into a medically induced coma." The doctor spoke.

"Can I see him?" Kiari asked softly.

"Yes ma'am, follow me this way"  the doctor replied and led Ri in the direction of his room.

The rest of us stayed back for a while to allow her some time alone with him. In this very moment I sat in the chair and thanked God for wrapping his arms around my little brother and protecting him.

I didn't even realize that tears had fallen from my eyes until Jewel walked over and wiped my face. "It's otay daddy" she said softly.

"Thank you baby girl" I smiled and kissed her cheek.

She got down and walked back over to Toya and Israel sitting next to her while playing with his hands.

"So who do you think the rat is?" Tango asked as he sat on one side of me and Luckie sat on the other.

"Ion know but we gonna find out for sure" I said running my hand down my face.

No matter who it was they were gonna die a slow death right along with Jaron Master Splinter looking ass.
