Wierd Eye Tutorial
I've had a couple of people ask me how to draw the wierd eye from a couple of chapters ago. I did explain briefly how I did it but I think it would be easier to do a quick step-by-step so that you can try it as well ;)
What you need:

You need a pencil, a small rubber (like one on the back of a pencil) and some paper. In the chapter I did it on cartridge paper but for this I am going to do it on regular paper to help see the contrast. Also a regular pencil is just as good, it's just that I prefer to use a mechanical one when drawing.
Step 1:
Scribble on the paper.

This is just to make the base of the pencil for us to rub out.
Step 2:
Smudge it into the paper.

This can be easily done with your finger, just make sure that you switch every so often or else it won't smudge anymore. Maybe even go and wash your hands to get it off of your fingers during or afterwards.
Also, if you do this and you feel the area is too small, simply add some more pencil around it then smudge again to make it bigger.
Step 3:
Erase an eye shape.

Use your rubber to erase an eye shape into the smudged pencil, don't worry if it isn't completely white because trying to do that could cause you to rub out too much. Also it doesn't have to be this particular shape, it can be any kind of eye you want!
Step 4:
Erase the pupil and highlights (if there are any).

Simply use the rubber to erase the details in the iris. For the pupil it doesn't have to be perfect because this is just to mark out where we need to draw, but for the highlights try to make them as white as possible.
Step 5:
Shade the pupil.

Use your pencil to shade the pupil, some people choose to do a solid colour but I like to do it so that it is slightly lighter in the middle just to give it a gradient. How you do it is entirely up to you!
Step 6:
Shade the pupil.

For this I chose to start at the top right highlight and make it really dark, then as I made my way to the bottom left highlight I made it lighter. I did have to make the pupil a little darker to show the contrast, but if you want them to be similar shades then leave it alone.
Your lightest tone should be almost identicle to the pencil base we made in step 1 and 2.
Step 7:
Add some extra shading to the inside of the eye.

If you would like to then add some shading to the inside of the outline but lightly drawing around it and then making your inward until it blends with the base.
Step 8:
Outline the eye.

This will help with the blending, and be sure to do this lightly and softly. Again, this is optional.
Step 9:
Blend it!

Using a pencil and your finger, blend the outline into the base to make it look a bit more 3D and stand out. This is optional.
Step 10:
Add the eyebrow.

Pretty much just follow the necessary steps and extend your base to create the eyebrow.
Step 11:
Add the finishing touches!!!!

How you do this is up to you.
Now it is done!!!
This is what it looks like at an angle.

I hope you find this helpful and if you have any questions then comment below.
If you choose to do this and post it, tag me to it so that I can check it out!
Starburst out.
