Hey everyone, just letting you know I update when I want. I leave it on cliffhangers sometimes because I know it builds anticipation. I'm busy in school but the holidays are in a week and a half so wait till then. Thank you to those enjoying the story without pressuring for updates (I updated literally a day ago)

"What?" Perci felt her heartbeat in her ears. She started feeling hot, worrying about the consequences of what she might have said.

"You're a demigod. You are half-god, half-human. Well, Midgardian." Hang on, Midgardian? Perci knew that meant human but that was the Norse term. She was confused more than ever of where Natasha was going with this.

"You grew up on Earth, but you have the strength of a God. You're Thor's daughter aren't you."

what.

gross.

Perci felt like she was going to puke. Or maybe laugh.

Natasha looked at her with triumphant eyes. Perci wonders how she herself looks.

The awkward silence stretched on, and the longer it went the more Natasha lost the gleam of superiority.

The moment was broken by Perci vomiting into her mouth. Thankfully she managed to keep it contained but she wasn't unsure that she wouldn't do it again. She started coughing to clear the acidic feeling from her throat.

"NO, nO oh gOds no." She said between coughing. Natasha frowned. Perci could almost see the thoughts trying to reconnect the clues in a different way.

"Then your his sister. It's the only other way it makes sense."

Perci had a choice here. She could deny a potentially get Natasha closer to the truth, or maybe worse. Or she could go along with it.

"Yes." Perci may have said that too fast. "Err, yes I am his sister. Half sister actually, Odin felt like a bit of a player, met my mother and boom. Me." She wasn't too far from the truth. It would also explain any problems if they found out about her absent father.

Natasha nodded. Good, she bought it. Perci noticed she was still awkwardly standing a distance from the red head, and she made a split second decision to cross that distance toward her.

Natasha visibly stiffened, clearly ready for an attack, and Perci saw the tiniest of flinch she had ever seen as she stretched out her hand.

"I feel we started off on the wrong foot. Perci Jackson, daughter of Po- Odin." She waited for a few seconds, watching Natasha consider her next move. Then she lifted her hand to meet Perci's, clutching her hand in tightly.

"Natasha Romanoff, known as the Black Widow of the Avengers." They shook and dropped their hands, though the eye contact remained. "I'm assuming you know how to fight?"

Perci snorted. "You questioning my talents?" The challenge in her tone was obvious.

Natasha smiled for the first time since Perci had met her.

"You questioning mine?"

-------------

Thor was chatting to the Avengers when he realised his mistake.

"Where is La- Natasha?" All the Avengers looked around, as if just noticing themselves.
Natasha had a habit of blending in, preferring to stay in the shadows and watch what is going on. Though her teammates had tried to coach her to be- well, more socially adept, Natasha had been struggling to break through the spy that the red room then SHIELD had meant for her to be.

"Maybe she went to her room?" Hawkeye suggested, and they paused in hope. But as a group they stood up, Thor hurrying faster than the rest for the stairs. The Avengers would normally wait for the elevator but they were curious to see what was worrying Thor so much. The parade down the stairs was an awkward filled silence, apart from the groups steps. Thor was 2 flights of stairs ahead of the rest of the group, so as soon as he got to the gyms door he slammed it open.

The door as expected fell off its hinges, landing on the ground with a large bang.

"Seriously? Is today destroy doors day?" But no one was paying attention to Tony as they peered into the gym, huddled behind Thor.

The gym was a sight to behold. There were discarded knives, axes and batons in the walls and on the floor. There were craters in walls and pieces of equipment everywhere. And in the middle of everything was the two women. Perci had Natasha pinned underneath her in a headlock, but the Avengers were faced away from them and were not sure of the state of their teammate.

"Perci! Natasha meant no disrespect. Please do not harm her." Thor stayed close to the doorway, but the Avengers were still able to get by him to get a better look at the destruction.

"MY GYM! What the hell Thor?"

Perci rotated to face the Avengers, Natasha was still in a headlock. Perci was grinning, with sweat and a little blood spotting her body. Natasha was frowning, but seemed to be in a similar state to Perci.

"I win!" Perci crowed in victory, letting Natasha go to raise her arms in the air. Natasha swung her leg around and tripped Perci so she fell by her.

"No fair Jackson, the only reason you won was because I got distracted by the door!"

"Well Romanoff, you should have been paying attention." The women turned back to the Avengers and stood up, standing shoulder to shoulder.

"You're not killing each other?" Thor said, slow and disjointed.

"Pfft why would we do that?"

"I mean I did-"

"Yeah well we didn't know each other as well."

"Fair enough." Natasha concluded.

The Avengers were dumbfounded at the women's companionship. They had been trying for months, and within 2 hours this random girl got her to be friendlier than she has ever been?

"Do you guys have a pool?" Perci broke the Avengers stream of thoughts.

"Yes! Yes we do, but none of them ever use it." Tony said, exasperated. "I build nice things for them and they just don't appreciate it."

"Cool. You wanna come?" That question was directed to Natasha.

"No, I should probably get in contact with Fury. Need to report in for this week." Perci shrugged, and moved towards the Avengers.

"I need to talk to you." Perci pulled Thor walking into the stairwell. The Avengers (bar Natasha) were watching in shock. How was she pulling the huge god behind her like it was nothing.

They heard Perci call for JARVIS, and JARVIS responded, as they continued down the levels. Natasha had also disappeared, though they weren't sure where as they were standing by the only exit. As they stood in silence still staring at the gym, Clint broke the silence.

"She's... interesting."

Again this was shit writing but I have some funny situations planned :)
