Chapter 11
Sorry for the mistakes
What is this place?
Piros asked himself watching the mortals rush down the street. There bundled shilouttes made him feel claustrophobic. He continued to stare blankly at the people until he heard someone clear there throat. His eyes darted to the young girl that was staring at him intensely. Her bleach blonde hair and crystal blue eyes made him feel.....different.
"Um, sir your standing on my fruits" the God rasied an eyebrow questioning. He glanced down at his legs and gasped. His face shifted into one of disgust. He rasied his leg inspecting his shoes that were covered in squashed mangoes and guavas.
"Care to say sorry. Those were the last bit of food I had!" He involuntarily took a step back. A image of his sister flashed through his mind. Paige? He missed her but why? He didn't care about her?
"Oh so your mute? You'd better buy back my stuff I don't intend to starve. Those bloody Gods are already bothering us" Piros stared at the mortal shocked. Didn't she know who he was?
"I'm sorry truly I am but I have no idea what your talking about. Don't you know who I am?" The blonde haired girl shook her head taking up her basket. She looked malnourished like she hadn't eaten anything for years.
"No I don't and I don't care. Buy back my goods!" Piros felt uncomfortable. He's never been on his own and with his condition he could snap at any moment.
"What goods? You can't mean these. Those can't feed anyone. Don't you have anything else?" He asked referring to the squashed fruits.
"No I don't not everyone is privileged and-" she was cut of by a young boy that looked strikingly similar to her came rushing down the street followed by two angry generals?
Piros watched the scene before him unfold. The boy ran behind him it was then he realized he was carrying an apple in his hands. Why would they chase him for an apple?
Piros never understood how the world worked. Being trapped inside a palace for his whole life he never got a chance to socialize. Because of his condition he was treated differently which only made it worse. The only person that treated him normal was his sister and what did he do to her...he betrayed her.
"Oh your majesty! We weren't aware of your presence. Please forgive us if this is your familar" Piros was brought back to reality by the general's words. Familiar...he thought. I don't have a new familiar. His eyes fell on the young girl that stared at him her eyes begging him to do something.
"Um...that's" he paused for a moment. We're they playing a game? Without him? Piros suddenly began uneasy. He didn't like when people played without him.
"You were playing without me?" His childish voice returned frightening the general's. They were all aware of the his condition and knowing this God they were in for a nasty surprise.
"No, no were weren't it's just that...that boy stole form us we needed to teach him a lesson. Please your majesty" the young girl just stood there confused unaware of the crowd behind her.
"Oh...Shall we play a game then?" Game...? The girl thought why would a grown man like him want to play a game?
"No your highness were very busy. Your uncle has instructed us to..Um raid the village" Piros frowned his eyes squinted staring at them intensely.
"You dont want to play with me?" The generals breath hitched. They froze in there spot dropping the weapons the held. It wasn't like them to show fear. As general's they were the kings personal guards but that was when Chaos was king.
"Play? What are you a child? And this whole your majesty thing? You aren't Gods if your caught this whole village will become history" the blonde girl spoke up annoyed. She then went to her brother that was hiding behind Piros. Dragging him with her, she scuffed.
"Grow up will you and stop this non sense. You still haven't bought back my things" Gerald, one of the generals, gasped. She dared to talk to the king like that?
"Gabrielle! Calm down do you know who your talking too!" An elderly woman cried out stepping foward. The woman looked embarrassed as she slapped the girl, Gabrielle, on her back.
Gabrielle gasped turing around to look at her mama. "Why did you do that? That guy squashed our food now we have nothing to eat!" The generals who were now looking at the king sighed.
"Your majesty would you like us to get rid of the mortal. She seems to have no respect for you" Gabrielle who heard everything word was shocked. Mortals....she thought that means he's a God?
"Does that mean we get to play a game afterwards?"
"Um....yes your majesty" the general answered. Piros clapped his hands excitedly.
"Wonderful " he king paused turning to look at the mortal who disrespected him. She didn't know...Paige would say forgiveness is always the answer. But what if she doesn't play with me? No I don't need to play I'm a big boy....mom.....
"Come to think of it no thank you. I'll deal with this problem myself. Though please do tell why you are here surly my uncle wouldn't mind if he lost a few soldiers" the general gulped shaking in fear.
"Your highness please we were just leaving and-" Piros cut him off yawning "No need to finish just leave. Don't return to this village from this day on I am protector of this village set foot here and you deal with me" Why did I say that? Piros asked himself.
His eyes drifted to the ground the earth was so...dry. It was just dirt no grass, no flowers nothing. It was...dead. Piros frowned bending down to touch the lifeless patch of earth.
"My sister, how is she?" His voice was strained as his hand rested on the ground. He was worried about her. It may not look like he cared but he did. The one person that treated him right was...he didn't even know where she was.
He sat down on the ground sighing. He didn't care about the people, he didn't care about the generals. He didn't care about the throne. All he wanted was to be treated right. To not be seen as a ticking time bomb. He wanted to be normal.
"God damn!" Thud! His fist hit the ground with such force it shook the earth it's self. He was sad? Angry? Confused? Depressed? His emotions were jumbled. He didn't know how he felt or why he felt so.
"I...I want to go home" he mumbled to himself pulling his feet to his chest curling into a ball. I just want to go home.....
