Chapter 27: Hellbound
Richard Weston's POV
As Aria showered, I sat on the edge of the bed feeling more and more frustrated. Unable to resolve my thoughts, I got up and walked out toward the main room. Stopping in the bedroom doorway, I looked toward the wall by the TV where I had practically attacked Aria with my need for her. My need not to lose her too...
I love Aria, I gotta face that. Though after learning about this new entity coming, it was also killing me inside to have to admit that maybe she'd just be better off with one of her own kind. The thought of letting her go...I can't go there. Not now. Not yet... Damnit! This is going to hurt us both no matter what we do.
On the curtains that faced out toward the pool, I could see the shadowy figures of the lycans, and werewolves moving fast. Their growls giving them away. Their shadow movements were getting faster and the growls became snarls. Frowning, I wondered what was going on.
Stepping up to the door, I opened it wide. The sight that was before me, I would never forget. There was blood smeared all up and down the cement, on doors, the walls, and on the windows of the hotel. Why didn't we hear this? I could hear the fighting down the walkway, but I couldn't see what was happening. Only once every few seconds would I see a human-sized blur of movement beyond the pool. "What the hell...?" I exclaimed as I was pulled out into the open by a vicious tug on my arm from the side. Grabbing the arm of the person that held mine, I twisted away and kicked the person in the gut, but not before dislocating their arm. The man had his black-haired head slightly lowered, chuckling in deep tones as he flashed me some feral looking fangs and what looked like crimson eyes gazing over blackened circular sunglasses set low on the bridge of his nose. Breathing deeply, the man straightened and bowed while slamming his shoulder into the wall to reset it. Damnit! His expensive-looking light grey suit was ruined with huge patches of blood staining the fabric.
"Dear boy it's about time you came out to play. Though the scent of having had sex with her is all over you. So, I guess I can understand why it did take you so long. You will be coming with me now." He reached out with a sharp-clawed hand but I yanked myself free as he sighed in irritation.
"Just who the fuck are you anyway?" I stood my ground with the tall man that was obviously a vampire. After the things, I had seen in my life, not much scared me now. Only losing her.
Getting frustrated, he grabbed my upper right arm in an iron grip that bruised. "If you must know, I am called, Gabriel Black." A fogginess started settling over my mind. "You will be under my care and control from this point forward." With lightning speed, he moved behind me and yanked my head to the side.
As his fangs plunged into the skin of my neck making me gasp in pain, I could feel my will to fight him slipping away with each second that passed as be fed on me. I stood unnaturally paralyzed with weakness, where I was on the walkway. Damn him to hell! Get the fuck off of me!!! With one last surge of the will to survive, I yelled out her name as loudly as I could, "Aria!!!"
Within a moment, Aria was at the door in her black dress. Gabriel wrapped his body up close to my back and lifted his fangs out of my neck but held his claws at my throat and belly as he faced Aria. My blood dripped from his fangs and off his chin, onto my shoulder. "So, finally we meet one another Aria. I am Gabriel Black. Try to kill me, and I will kill your man here before you can even separate your molecules." His nails tightened on my throat and several shape tips broke the skin.
Aria was pissed.off. her features were unreadable, but even I could still sense the fury boiling in her veins. The sound of her voice, however, was downright arctic yet smooth "Alright Mr, Black, what is it that you want? Though I warn you now, it is in your best interest, to let Richard Weston go free, now."
Shaking his head from side to side, Gabriel laughed without joy. The sound was cold and unfeeling. "No, my dear girl. Though you and I must talk. Just...not here. Too many ears." His head tilted toward the sounds of more fighting toward the ends of the two buildings. "We just waited for the fighting between the lycans, werewolves, and shapeshifters to begin. It was inevitable with both half brothers leading." Straightening his throat, Gabriel grinned wickedly feeling the need to explain. "Janos, who is much more devious, leads the shifters. He is Roarke's half brother. They can't stand one another to the point of having bounties on each other's heads. So, while they are busy with their unlikely family reunion, we came to get Richard as bait but mostly as insurance. All to lure you, dear Aria. You are to meet with me at the Nightwing Estate in Somerset, Maine within one day for a talk, or your boy Richard dies. Should you use your power against me or any of my kind, Richard will die. Be there..."
The whole world blurred as my eyes could not keep up with how fast we were moving away, then everything swirled around in my head and my world went black.

Aria's POV
My features were as stone when I saw Richard in the arms of that particular vampire. I had never wanted to kill a creature before, until this one. The fury boiling inside of me threatened to overflow and consume all in its path. However, this vampire Gabriel was deadly and dangerously clever. That I already knew from previous visits to this world. I would have to outwit him. Easily done.
So for now, I have to stand still and watch as Gabriel takes Richard away in a blur of speed. My anger began to rise to dangerous levels. The gravity pull from my core energy surged around me increasing in violent waves. The buildings creaked and groaned as I stalked down the walkway toward the area where the fighting was taking place, between the lycans, werewolves, and shapeshifters.
Passing the chaotic churning of the pool's waters. I caught sight of a clash of bodies, both human form, and then transformed, at the end of the groaning buildings. They were tearing each other apart with hands, claws, and bared canines. The empty parking lot was bloodied in all directions. Pieces of creatures, hands, feet, muscles, bones, and all dripping with fresh crimson blood; the fallen littering the areas where many still fought. Chunks of flesh were strewn all over the ground, blood so thick one was liable to slip in the puddles of it. The carnage was horrific, but I didn't mind.
There were still about sixty of them in claw to teeth combat. In my rage, I stepped into the middle of the chaos in my black flats, and using my gravity, threw them all apart from one another. "STOP!!!" I screamed at them all, loud enough to wake the dead.
I stood before them all, breathing hard with the effort to not blow them all apart into oblivion. My eyes came to rest on Roarke and another human-like man that looked very similar; hands curled into fists at my sides "Roarke! You and Janos! Get your asses over here, NOW!!!" They stopped fighting and looked at each other, then at me with a touch of fear in their eyes. Good.
" Thanks to your brotherly bullshit..." I started as I approached them, meeting them halfway. "...thanks to you, the vampires have kidnapped Richard Weston as a bargaining chip against me, and many of your pack followers are now dead." I paused for effect, as I looked back and forth at them. My gaze finally zeroing in on Roarke. "You, Roarke. I should kill you where you stand. YOU ARE NOT ALPHA!"
Janos's eyes widened at this information. "Oh, brother. You fucked up..."
The gravity pull was getting stronger by the second. While the blood and gore were beginning to collect at our feet because of it, a strong wind circled us; the field of battle and beyond to trees that swayed on the edge of the huge parking lot.
"You are BOTH responsible for this mess! Collect your men Janos and take them elsewhere. We will talk later perhaps." Slowly I turned my head back to Roarke. "Take the men and get them settled and taken care of. Because of you, I will have to be going after Gabriel Black on my own. I only have one day to make it to the Nightwing Estate in Somerset, Maine. I'll be able to travel faster if I am by myself. But be assured, if Richard dies, ALL OF YOU will die. Am I clear?" My eyes took in their fear and at this moment I savor it, I was so enraged. Turning back toward the walkway to the room I screamed in a voice that echoed. "FUCK ALL OF YOU!!!" More and more human-sounding by the second...
