Chapter 29
Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I really had to think hard about what I'm gonna do with this story! I read some really good fanfics on wattpad while I was thinking and let me just say... Wow. You guys are so good!
*FLASHBACK*
A young boy with blond hair and blue eyes was playing football by himself in a small, grassy patch of field.
He looked like he was about six years old. The boy was kicking the ball around and laughing, utterly engrossed in the joy he was feeling.
The ball rolled away, bumping to the heel of a middle aged woman.
The boy nervously jogged after the ball on his tiny legs.
'E-excuse me, ma'am,' he asked politely.
The woman turned around, finding a football beneath her.
'Oh, is this yours, dear?' She asked. She picked up the ball and handed it to the boy.
'Thanks.' The boy smiled from ear to ear revealing his white teeth.
The woman looked closer. This boys teeth are awfully pointy looking, she thought to herself.
The boy stopped smiling, opening his eyes.
The woman gasped. They were pitch black, like soulless holes. She screamed, attempting to run away from what she thought was a monster.
She tripped and fell. 'Help! Help!' She shouted, 'Monster!'
The boy stared at the woman in terror. He started to sprint away, tears flooding in his eyes.
'I'm not a monster,' he cried, 'I'm not!'
He ran faster and faster not remember that he had forgotten his football.
He ran until his legs could no longer, reaching his house and collapsing in his tears.
*FLASHBACK ENDING*
Claude's POV
I started to prepare myself some dinner. It wouldn't be much, maybe just a plate of pasta would do.
I chopped some mushrooms, while humming to the tune of, fine I'll admit it, Taylor Swift songs.
My phone beeped in my pocket. I'll read it later I thought to myself as I carried on cooking dinner.
While I was cooking, I decided to make myself a coffee too.
I wasn't bothered to warm the water in the kettle though.
I got my favorite mug and filled it with coffee beans and water.
I held the cup, suddenly my hand burst into flames, engulfing my mug in fire. The flames had disappeared, leaving a hot cup of coffee in my hands.
I smirked. 'That was easy.'
I drank the boiling coffee in just a gulp; humans would have burned their throats if they had tried it.
The pasta was cooked.
I took a plateful to the living room, turning on the TV with just a blink. I sat comfortably down on my sofa.
I can't believe they're still showing Christmas movies. Christmas was over yesterday!
I decided to check my phone to see who had sent me the message.
Piss off, prick
-Raven
Raven had replied to my apology text I had sent a few moments earlier.
'She's so annoying,' I sighed.
I felt something crawl onto my lap.
'Meow,' Octavius purred.
'So you followed me back,' I ruffled his head and stroked his back.
Octavius was the only one that really understood me. Even if he was a cat. But he wasn't an ordinary cat.
He purred again, I could understand what he was saying.
'Mreoww (so the Raven kid is a demon like you)'
'I guess so,' I told the feline.
'Meeeow?(do you like her more now?)'
'Shut up,' I moaned, pushing him off of my lap.
'Meow meoow (Claude and Raven sitting in a tree)'
'Grow up,' I poked his chubby belly.
'Meaaaow (I'm like a hundred years older than you, Claude)'
I laughed as he stumbled back onto my lap.
(A/N if you haven't realized already, I love cats! So yep, a cat has to be in my story. This chapter may be crap but at least it has a cat convo~)
