Nicholas's P.O.V

"Can you check if those men and Axel are connected in some way?" I asked.

"That's very complicated but I'll check if I can" Chad said.

"I'll be right back" I said as I excused myself from the room. I need a smoke. Fuck, I need a fucking smoke.

I passed the backdoor and ended up outside. Everywhere was already dark and misty. I rubbed my palms together and patted my pockets in search of a lighter and cigarettes. But I was met with nothing.

I groaned loudly and kicked a random stone to the wall. It bounced and fell on the ground. "Fuck!" I yelled to the dark.

"Cigarette?" Someone offered behind me. I turned around, startled. It was Cally.

I stared at the Cigarette, hard. Then I looked away. She doesn't like it if I smoke. "No, thanks" I forced out.

"You obviously need one. You're frustrated" Cally scoffed.

"I don't smoke anymore" I sighed. I saw her raise an eyebrow from the corner of my eye.

"You don't? Wow. Okay" She shrugged. She lit her cigarette and started to smoke.

"I really want to kill those bastards" I said with gritted teeth.

"The last time I saw you like this was when...that... happened with Zoey" She said. I didn't say anything and continued staring at the distance.

She is right. What's going on with me these days? I need to think straight. I shouldn't let my feelings disturb anything. I just like her a little bit and it will leave soon. It's just a matter of time.

"She must be someone special--" Cally said again, taking a deep drag. She blew it out slowly.

"She's just a friend" I cut her off. She narrowed her eyes at me, moving closer.

She stood in front of me and I maintained a straight face. She went on her toes and moved so close that our noses were almost touching. I could smell the smoke from her breath.

"Hm....just a friend." She said. I raised an eyebrow. "Okay. Okay" she smirked, stepping back.

The backdoor opened and Chad's head popped between the space. "Found it" he said. I looked at him and nodded.

I gave Cally a nod before following Chad back into their base. Hakim cleared his throat and looked at me.

"Turns out the guys were also criminals. From what I found out, they've been quite close with Axel while he was in prison" Hakim said.

I bit my lower lip in thought. "So there's a possibility that Axel helped them escape prison and in return, they decided to help him kidnap Alex" I said.

"Probably" Cally said, walking into the room. "That's how criminals work. There are no favors. It's always a benefitting deal for both parties" she added.

I nodded in agreement. "Yeah. So since I can't track Axel because there's no trace of him anywhere near Alex. Let's track those men instead" I suggested.

Chad snapped his fingers. "Bingo! That's a nice idea" he said.

Cally stretched her arms. "Well, this is getting interesting. I feel like we'll be beating up some people and it's making my blood rush. I'm so excited" Cally giggled.

I eyed her and scoffed. "You won't be beating up anyone Cally" I said.

"Oh come on! So after all these information, what will you do? Let them go?" She whined.

I rolled my eyes at her. "I didn't say I won't beat some people up. I was talking about you. You are staying here" I said, pointing to the ground.

She pouted. "But I have a few moves that is like to--"

"DAMN IT! JUST LISTEN TO ME!" I yelled. She stumbled back, startled as she stared at me. I turned around and found Hakim and Chad staring too.

I rubbed the bridge of my nose, trying to contain my patience. "Jeez, you didn't have to be so loud" Cally said quietly.

"Why doesn't anyone listen to me? You all end up hurt or in danger at the end so just stay, please" I said quietly and calmly. 

Hakim and Chad continued their work on the computer. Cally checked her nails as she sat down in her chair. I sighed and waited for the information on the men's whereabouts. However, I can't get that Trigger out of my head. I have special plans for him. Very special ones.

A guard entered and I recognized him as one of Venom's guards. "Mr Hunter. Venom would like to see you" he said.

Hakim, Chad and Cally looked at me. I gave them a nod before standing up and walking out of the room. I followed the guard to Venom's office.

Three people sat, tied, on a chair and their heads were covered with a brown bag. I raised an eyebrow at them then looked at Venom who sat crossed legged on his desk.

"Who are these?" I asked, confused. My mind was telling me something was wrong.

Venom nodded at one of the guards and he walked up to them. He removed the bags from their heads and I was more than shocked to see their identities.

"I believe they came looking for you?" Venom said, distaste obvious in his tone as he looked at me.

Eli, Zo and Eddy sat on the chair with tapes across their mouths. You've got to be fucking kidding me. What the hell are they doing here?!

Alexandrea's P.O.V

"Wakey wakey!" I heard in my sleep. I opened my eyes slightly to see a hand waving across my face. I hitched my breath in surprise.

Though, my vision is a bit blurry but I could very well recognize the monster in front of me. I suddenly sat up, backing up against the wall. Wait....I can move! Fuck yes, I can move!

But I'm still stuck here. Now that I can move, I'm not completely hopeless, right?. I have to find a way out. "Don't get too excited or you'll be dead before you know it" Axel threatened, frowning at my expression.

"What are you going to do to me?" I asked, gulping in fear. He slowly smirked and stood up, leaving the room. I heard the sound of the door locked as his footsteps disappear.

Searching my body, I winced in pain as my fingers grazed my right arm. It had series of red dots, a sign of where I had been injected.

I decided to stand up but my legs felt like jelly. I dropped back on the bed with a force. Sighing, I tried again, holding onto the wall for support. Suddenly, the door jolted open, making me fall back in the bed. The Chinese woman came in and locked the door behind her.

She walked towards me, holding a tray in her hand. With the syringe. Gasping, I backed towards the wall. "No!" I screamed.

She quickly looked towards the door and placed an index finger across her lips, telling me to keep quiet. "Listen child, I'm here to help you" she whispered, her Chinese accent absent.

I paused and gulped. This could be a trick. Why would she want to help me? "What?" I breathed out.

"I need you to trust me" she said quietly. She squatted down to my level on the bed

"This could be a trick" I whimpered. "Why would you want to help me?" I said.

"Because...." She paused. Then she looked at me, her eyes glassy. "Because I need to tell my daughter that I love her" she said.

My demeanor fell and I felt her pain. "Your daughter? Where is she?" I asked.

"You'll find out after I help you out of here. All the information you need is here" she said, bringing out an Android phone. She gave it to me.

I frowned at her. "If you can help me, why haven't you escaped?" I asked as I looked at the phone.

"Even if I do, I'll end up dead before the end of that day" she said as a tear fell on her cheek.

"W-what?" I gasped out. "How did you get here? What happened?" I asked curiously.

"I would have loved to answer you questions but I can't. Maybe some other day" she said. I sighed and nodded. She took my palm in my her hand and squeezed it in comfort. "With this phone, you contact anyone outside here. But be careful" she added.

"Okay. Thank you so much" I said. I didn't even know her name.

"Please...I beg you. Don't get caught. We'll be both be dead before we take a breath. So please. I'll come by later to tell you what you need to do. If I stay any longer, they can start to suspect me" she said.

"Alright" she said and stood up. She gave me one last encouraging look before leaving the room and locking it.

I sighed and started at the android phone in my palms. I can do this. This is my chance. I'm finally leaving this place.
