Plum POV

I had ordered my people to go underground for their safety. While my army stayed above to prepare for the destruction that was coming. I now stood at the front of the castle's walls with my hands behind my back. One of my loyal subordinates came up to me and bowed in my presence.

Toad: My liege. My loyalty is to you. I will never go against your word. But I must ask. Are we going to go through this war? Lives on both sides will be lost. Once this starts there's no going back.

Me: I've tried playing nice... If I'm the bad guy. Then fine. I'm the bad guy. I was doing this for her... For us... Then that boy...

I tightened a fist behind my back as I thought of him... The one thing that was going to help me achieve my goal. Is the same thing that ripped it all away.

Me: If he wasn't already dead. I would've snapped his neck myself after I get what I wanted from him... But I'll settle for establishing who has the true power here. Even if it gets a little-

I held a hand in front of me as a chill filled the air and my hands turned black. Making the air cold to now suffocating. The toad near me had to step away as he gasped for air.

Me: Brutal.

My focus returned to the sky in front of me. I watched as the ship approached from the distance. A whole fleet with her ship included. I relieved the power from my hand as they approached. I looked back at the Toad as I put my hand on his back.

Me: I'm sorry. I don't mean to take my anger out on you.

Toad: It is fine... My princess. I will tell them to ready the cannons.

Me: Thank you... You know where I'll be... And you know my orders.

Toad: Yes... Let her pass.

Bowsette POV

The castle was moments away from us as I prepared myself mentally. I huffed as I turned to the door.

Me: Prepare for incoming fire.

Koopa: Your highness. We're nowhere within shooti-

As on queue we took incoming fire from a row of cannonballs flying in the air. I kept walking as Kamek followed and we went to the lower floor. The ship shook once again as I came down seeing my people ready to drop to the soon-to-be battlefield. I ordered the doors to open as the ropes dropped down below. Cannonballs still whizzing by.

Me: Time to go.

My people started dropping down as Kamek flew off as well. I jumped down as well grabbing the rope as I watched the cannons fire from both sides. Boos, Koopas, Goombas, and Hammer Bros dropping below. Reaching the ground Boosette appeared by me as I watched everything now lit a flame...

Boosette: I'm guessing you're going to her...

She said a little bit irritated. Still not happy that we left (Y/N) behind. I didn't respond as I walked to the castle's entrance leaving her behind.

Boosette: I'll see you when this is over.

Loss POV

I just walked back into the house as Nayomi stood there waiting at the door. Arms crossed and with a smile on her face.

Nayomi: Did you enjoy giving him "the talk?"

Me: Do you wanna be a coin again?

Her arms wrapped around my waist before she giggled resting her head on me. I laid back against her as she kissed my cheek.

Nayomi: I'd like to see you try... Do you think he'll pull it off?

Me: He better. You know what happens if he doesn't.

Nayomi: Yeah, yeah I know. World ending and all of that stuff.

She kissed my cheek again as I smiled and sighed as I put a hand on the arms that surround me.

Me: His sister will be proud.

Nayomi: Damn straight. Now. Let's let the kids sort out their business. While we sort out ours.

Me: You are trying to be slick right now aren't you?

Nayomi: Me? Slick? Never~.

Bowsette POV

I reached the front doors of the castle as I pushed my way through. My heels clicked with each step as its echoes bounced off the walls. Memories good and bad came at the same time... Now all of it is gone. I then heard her voice coming from every direction.

Plum: Did you even look back once?... Or think about it? Or did you just keep running to your parent's bedside?

I kept moving as I tried to guess where she was coming from. I wandered almost aimlessly.

Plum: Because I did... I did Every. Single. Day. Until now... You made it very clear about what you wanted.

Her voice was a bit more clear as I noticed I was right outside of her bedroom. I opened it to only see it destroyed. Mirror shattered. Bed ripped to shreds. The walls filled with holes everywhere.

Plum: And now someone suffered because of what you started... But now it's your turn.

I moved on as I proceeded to the throne room. Pots shattered and traces of her nails were everywhere. The cuts in the walls and pillars went deep. As if they were made with no effort at all. As I made my way to the throne room. The doors slowly pushed open. Annoyed I knocked them down with a kick as the whole door frame toppled over and I stepped over the rubble. I looked up at the golden throne. Covered in scratches and split right down the middle. Moments after I stepped in; I was suddenly lifted off my feet and flown into a nearby pillar. As I landed and shook my head I looked over to my left before immediately ducking to avoid an incoming spear. I looked at it seeing it swallowed in a dark most before disappearing into thin air. My attention was averted again as hurried footsteps approached me and I almost barely blocked an incoming kick by forming my arms like an X. Plum backed off as I felt a slight sting still where she kicked.

Plum: You have no little "hero" for you to back up to now. Just you and me.

She snapped her fingers as the pillar next to me toppled down and I rolled out the way. As I stopped myself she was now standing above me as she kicked me with the bottom of her heel. Grunting I blew flames to make her back off. As my fire started to die down I noticed she held her palm in front of her using a dark wall to defend herself. Running out of the air I stopped giving her a chance to grab me and throw me to the wall. She jumped after me and punched me through as I tumbled on the ground and grunted as I looked at my surroundings. I noticed I was now once again in her bedroom. Getting on my hands and knees I panted as her heels clicked against the ground behind me.

Plum: You still haven't even tried to understand how to use your fire. I could've. I'm the one who even got you started.

My eye twitched as I grinded my teeth and lifted myself to double kick her as she fell back. Getting up I turned around to bring my fist together and down onto her stomach. Only flinching she raised her hand sending a pulse to push me back. I stood my ground as I summoned fire into my hands before she snapped her fingers causing the ceiling above me to come down. I put my arms over my head to cover myself from the rubble as I have pretty much buried under it all. Before I was able to remove it all off me; I once again started to float with the debris before I'm thrown once again to the side. I was sent flying through the wall once again as I fell in the middle of the entrance of the castle. I coughed and wheezed a bit from the pain as I turned onto my back groaning. I tried to at least sit up, but my body simply refused. I felt completely immobilized... I guess I didn't regain enough strength. I was a fool thinking I can beat her... Plum eventually came to my side standing over me with a soulless expression before she shook her head and sighed.

Plum: Can you even look me in the eyes and tell me that anything of what you felt towards me was real?

She said pressing her heel down on my stomach as I coughed. Her eyes glared down at me while also forming tears. She knew I wouldn't look up at her... She knew she was right. I messed this up for both of us.

Plum: I knew it... You don't even try to deny it.

Me: Plum...Please.

Plum: Please? PLEASE!? Did you even listen to me when I said that!? To give us a chance!? To fight for what we had!? Because I did! That's why we're even here right now! But you cut me off and took Cecilia with you down the rabbit hole! You cut off anything that leads back to me!

Me: Plum...

Plum: You left my heart to rot... You could've at least talked to me. Even if we were over. Anything... But you couldn't even spare me that...

She once again held a dark ball of magic in her hand as I felt my soul starting to get ripped away from my body. I felt like a thousand hands were wrapped around my neck squeezing tightly.

Plum: So, I won't spare you anything either...

The feeling intensified as I gasped for the need for air. Her attention then shifted from me and then towards the door. The magic in her hand dispersed and I breathed heavily as I started to regain my energy. I wondered what caught her attention... I then noticed the quiet from outside... Then I heard it... The humming from outside. It was loud and it echoed somehow through the whole kingdom. The cannon fire and the war cries have seized. But the humming continued and the tune started to get closer and closer to the castle.

"Ba-da, badaba, badababa-ba-ba, ba-ba-badaba, ba-da-dadadada~"

The tune kept going as we then heard footsteps. Plum took her foot off my stomach and stepped over me as I laid there too weak to move. I slightly turned my head as the footsteps approached the door. The owner of the voice pushed the door open as they were covered by the sunlight.

?: Looks like I didn't miss the main event. But you will not believe that mess out there. I'm a housekeeper. Not a kingdom keeper. You gotta pay someone else for that Jazz.

That voice... No.

(Y/N): I can't believe you two got started without me. I'm truly heartbroken. In fact, I'm insulted...

It was him... But why? I told him not to come back... Yet he looks like he's having the best day of his life. Not even a bruise on his body and now he had a black cap on his head.

Plum: You? You!? You're supposed to be dead!

(Y/N): Yeah, I just found that out recently. After someone decided to handcuff me to their bedside. "Cough" Bowsette "Cough". But not holding grudges. Unlike someone over here. Sour fruit ain't she?

Plum: Do you-

(Y/N): "Do you even know what she did?" Mehmehmeh; Mehmeh. Yes, I know your little fantasy story that you two had together, and frankly, my response is GROW UP! Like Holy Stars Lady!

Plum: Excuse me?

(Y/N): Was Bowsette turning her back without a word messed up? Oh yes definitely. But, she's working on it. Trust me. You on the other hand. Congratulations. There are people on both sides brutally injured and luckily because I arrived none dead. Because YOU started a war over your fantasy land.

Plum: You have the audacity to-

(Y/N): TUT TUT! I'm not done. I've been almost forced into a marriage, thrown through portals, fought ghosts with a VACCUM, nearly ripped to shreds by a ghost cat, minced up by a possessed hallway, almost got struck by lightning, then almost bound to torment and now being harassed by a Ghost Princess who is STILL trying to get me in bed, and that's just the Shadow Kingdom. Don't even get me started on Bowsette's freak show of a home. So, I'm going to ask you... Very kindly so I can finally catch a breath... To surrender.

Plum: ...Are you joking?

(Y/N): If I was joking you think I would have willingly dragged my arse here just to say. "Oh, hunky-dory! Pwetty pwease sugar Plum. Can you suwwender?" I had to be off my block to be that dumb. Someone made it very clear that I was dumb enough.

He's got that right...

(Y/N): Read that.

Say what now?

Plum: You! Out of everyone else in this world think you have the right to ask ME to surrender?

(Y/N): I mean yeah... Freedom of Speech... I mean we all have rights... So... That's a yes right?

He put a hand on the side of his mouth and looked at me whispering.

(Y/N): I think she's surrendering!

He smiled putting two thumbs up before part of the floor ejected out under him making fly and slam into the roof.

(Y/N): I think I'm hitting the roof of the situation.

I'm kinda wishing he just stayed dead now just for that.

(Y/N): I can still leave anytime Bowsette!

The whole mind-reading thing is totally not freaky at all. He fell back down face planting and got up and dusted himself off.

(Y/N): I'm guessing we're doing this the hard way... Then let's get this over with.

Plum: You are a very ignorant boy.

Me: And you are very heinous for a princess.

Plum: If you don't wanna join me willingly or forcefully. Then your use to me has expired.

Me: Bring it on you sad excuse for royalty.
