Your POV

Coming in from the air once again I landed face-first into the ground eating dirt. Pulling my head out of the ground I spit dirt the grit out of my mouth. I then looked around. It was dark but still bright enough to see.

Me: Bowsette? Bowsette!?

Bowsette: GET OUT OF THE WAY!

I looked around again before looking up in confusion before I finally realized what she meant. Before I can even move I find myself flat on the ground on my stomach with my face in the dirt again. I might as well take a mud bath. I felt her laying down on top of me as she got up dusting herself off.

Bowsette: Thanks for the soft landing I guess. I did tell you to move through.

Me: Yeah yeah I know.

I said as she pulled me to my feet. I used my shirt to wipe the dirt off my face. Before checking our surroundings.

Me: So we're in the Shadow Kingdom now huh?

Bowsette: Yeah but I don't remember it being so-

Me: Creepy? Disturbing?

Bowsette: Dark... It at least felt inviting.

Me: Well we are just in the woods. Do you know where the castle or kingdom is exactly?

Bowsette: It's not exactly that. Even though it's a Kingdom. There are just mansions scattered everywhere. The largest one belonging to my friend.

Me: Well.

I turned on my flashlight as waved it in the path in front of us.

Me: Anything look familiar?

Bowsette: No. No one can just walk to her mansion. You can only go through the master of the woods. The Grand Bones... Biggest... Almost as tall as the trees of the forest. Knows every path that goes in and out.

Me: How do we find him?

Bowsette: If we just entered the forest. There should be an outhouse. They give you directions to find him.

Me: Well let's get to it.

Bowsette: Right.

We began our walk as I held a light in front of us so we can watch our step. I thought we could kill some time with small talk.

Me: So uh... Plum is the princess of the Toads. Your friend is the princess of Ghost and Monsters. But you are the princess of?

Bowsette: The Koopas... Or at least used to be.

Me: We're going to get your castle back. I'm sorry I brought it up I just thought it would be nice to... You know talk.

Bowsette: No it's fine. I just feel like a fool.

Me: She got you in your sleep right? She chose when you were most vulnerable that's not your fault. Probably did the same to your friend if she got the chance.

Bowsette: What?

Me: I mean think about it. Don't you find it a bit weird a couple of days after your friend disappears that you get kidnapped?

Bowsette: ...So she got her too.

Me: It won't matter for long though... Hey, look!

I said as we both came to a halt. We stood outside a rather large house. It wasn't a mansion but it was pretty big.

Bowsette: This is Wisp's outhouse. This is the usual one I come to.

Me: So hopefully we get a warm welcome.

We walked up to the door as I only got to knock once before it opened. It wasn't locked? I and Bowsette looked at each other before I peeked in.

Me: Housekeeping?

Bowsette: Seriously?

Me: Well sorry I don't know how to talk to ghost dang it.

I say as we both stepped in. When we finally walked away from the door it slammed shut and locked making me jump. Bowsette's expression changed as a giggle-filled the house before silence once again took over.

Me: So is there a map we grab or something?

Bowsette: We find Wisp. We find Grand Bones.

Me: Right... Maybe upstairs?

Bowsette: That is where his room is.

I nodded as I went first up the steps as the floor creaks with every step we take. Arriving at the top I shined my light down the hall as Bowsette went in front of me.

Bowsette: It's the farthest one down.

She said as she took the lead. I followed her until I heard voices coming from a passing room. I looked to my left seeing an open door.

Me: Hey Bowsette I hear someone in here.

Bowsette: What?

She said stopping to look at me. I decided to go in as I hear her approaching me rapidly.

Bowsette: Don't go in there!

I was already in the room as a purple gate appeared behind me.

Me: Uh oh.

Bowsette appeared at the doorway trying to pull and bang on the bars. I tried on the other side too.

Me: Um I guess they want me to feel secure huh? Eh heh...

She glared at me as I laughed nervously as the room I was in filled with laughter.

?: Well well. It seems like we have a guest. Give them a warm welcome why don't ya?

An orange ghost appeared on the opposite side of the room. As a chill went down my spine.

Me: No thanks I'm good.

Bowsette: Use your bag you fool!

Me: What!?

Bowsette: Loss said it should help right!? Use it!

Me: Oh right!

I looked at my flashlight seeing a button on it. I tapped it making it flash as the Ghost stayed still and covered its eyes and shrieked.

Me: Aha! Don't like the light do ya.

It then shook its head and began to approach me once more.

Me: Well that didn't work... What if I-

I flashed it again stunning the Ghost before using the vacuum. It freaked out as I started to pull it in. Holding the vacuum part with both hands it started to pull me around the room. Eventually, it got tired and was sucked up into my bag.

Me: Aye! Is that the best you got!?

?: No, but thank you for asking.

Suddenly two more Ghosts appeared behind me as I backed up.

Me: Oh boy.

The ghost disappeared but I still heard them in the room. I just couldn't see them. I then looked into a mirror on the floor up against the wall. I could see one of them. I flashed to my left stunning a ghost before I started to pull. He was tugging a lot so I used my strength to turn around and slam it on the floor. I then turned and slammed again exposing the other ghost as they both went into my bag.

Me: I think I'm getting the hang of this.

I say looking at Bowsette before I get shoved to the floor. I shook my head and looked up seeing a pink ghost with a bow tie.

Me: Uh hi. Eh heh.

Bowsette: Wisp! Stop snap out of it!

Wisp: I'm going to enjoy destroying you.

I gulped as he picked up a nearby chair. I rolled out of the way as he slammed where I once was. I stood back up on my feet as I looked around. I tried looking into the mirror only to see it get picked up and thrown at me as I ducked dodging it. I hear him laugh as I looked around.

Wisp: Can't hit what you can't see huh?

I'm suddenly punched in the back as I turned around still seeing nothing. I'm a sitting duck... There's gotta be something I can do to see him... I looked on my flashlight seeing a rainbow on it. I turned the end of the light as my light turned into colors. I waved it around as I suddenly saw an aura. I turned my flashlight back to normal as I flashed the aura stunning Wisp. I started to do the same thing I did to the other ghost but he was able to struggle free. He groaned in frustration as rushed me arm one arm in front of him as I rolled out of the way. I flashed him again as I slammed him against the wall. He groaned as he fell slowly to the ground. The bars blocking Bowsette disappeared as she came to check on me.

Bowsette: Are you okay?

Me: Yeah yeah I'm fine. I don't know about him though.

Wisp: Oh buggers... What the shroom did I do last night?

He started to sit up as he shook his head. My hand stayed in my vacuum as his eyes opened. When they did they opened widely.

Wisp: Princess Bowsette! Bly me! I'm sorry I've never slept on the job before.

Bowsette: You weren't exactly asleep Wisp... You were being controlled. Plus the Blood moon is here.

Me: Nearly crushed me, dude.

Wisp: What? I'm so sorry. All I remember is... Plum! She attacked us all out of nowhere. I don't know how but she got the drop on us. What about my assistants?

Me: Oh right.

I pointed my vacuum down as I put it in reverse. I shot three ghosts from earlier out. They held their heads trying to recover.

Wisp: I'm so sorry about this. Our princess should've cast a spell over the kingdom by now.

Me: That's the thing bud. We think she's missing.

Wisp: Oh my that is troublesome.

Bowsette: But we don't think she left her mansion. That's why we need a map to Grand Bones to go there.

Wisp: Oh definitely. But before I do who is this young man?

Me: Oh I'm (Y/N). Nice to meet you Wisp... Sir... This is still weird for me.

Wisp: Goodman. Thank you for helping us. We are on your debts. Here's the map you wanted.

He snapped his fingers as a map appeared in front of Bowsette. She grabbed it and opened it as she began to study the layout.

Wisp: I hope you both the best. If you need to rest come back here and we'll make sure you're both comfortable. Also, be careful. If the princess didn't get to cast her spell and Plum is controlling more people. Grand Bones might not be the same.

Bowsette: Thank you Wisp. We will return.

Me: Yeah thanks Wisp Ghost dude guy...

Bowsette: (Y/N) come on!

She said as she grabbed me by the back collar dragging me downstairs and outside.

Wisp: What an odd fellow. I hope they can handle Bones... Okay, boys. If we were under control. It is likely others were as well. We're going to go together with one by one to each post to check on the others. Stay alert!
