Plum POV

Me: I can't believe my only chance to rule this world slipped through my fingers! I should've just took his mind when I had the chance!

I said dragging my nails on the side of my throne leaving scratch marks in the golden chair.

Me: He set the whole dungeon floor on fire and took Bowsette to boot! If he wasn't the only boy on the planet I'd would just-

One of my people rushed into the room... With the giant door still slowly opening widely behind him as I wanted to pull my hair out.

Me: Can someone seriously get rid of these doors!? And what do you want!?

The Toad huffed and puffed trying to catch his breathe as he looked up at me in concern.

Toad: The Boy! He's in the Shadow Kingdom!

Me: Oh? That's good news for once. The ghost should be delivering him back here any moment then.

Toad: No your highness. I'm sorry to say but the Shadow Kingdom has been reclaimed by Boosette. The Boy defeated Her, Wisp, and Grand Bones with the help of the princess from the Koopa Kingdom.

Me: HE WHAT!? This is an outrage! How can he have possibly fought all of that on his own!?

Toad: Um... A vacuum your highness.

Me: Are you Fuzzing me right now!?... (Sigh) There's nothing more we can do then. Pull the spies from the Shadow Kingdom. The Boy and the Princess will try to claim Koopa Kingdom next... Send in the Professor and tell him I will NOT tolerate failure.

Toad: Yes my liege.

Your POV

I stirred in bed as I started to wake up. Turning on my side I felt something up against my back as an arm suddenly wrapped around me... Wait a minute.

Boosette: Awe. Waking up already? You where such a nice hug pillow.

My eyes lit up as I turned my head.

Me: P-princess!?

The door busted down as Bowsette came in grinding her teeth. Her eyes shot daggers at Boosette as the princess of illusions slowly slides off the bed.

Bowsette: I should've known you'd try something the second I wasn't looking!

Boosette: Can't a girl have some fun?

Bowsette: I can't stand you sometimes...

I sat up and stretched before twisting to pop my back. Satisfied I got out of bed to stretch my legs.

Bowsette: Did you sleep well?

Me: Like a rock. I guess I did need it. But besides me. How's your magic?

Bowsette: Well...

She held out her palm as she created a small flame. I smiled at first until I realized she looked a bit disappointed.

Me: It looks like it's working. So what's wrong?

Boosette: That's all she can do. She can't breathe fire nor make it bigger. Whatever chains Plum had her in really dampened her powers. I was able to restore her ability to use it. But the rest she needs to recover.

She extinguished her flame before putting her hands behind her back. I walked over to her as I put a hand on her shoulder.

Me: Well luckily you won't need it. Flames or no flames. You and I are just enough to take back the kingdom.

Bowsette: ...You're right.

Me: Can I get a little bit more confidence? I need some confidence in here.

Bowsette: (Sigh) You're right.

Me: I-

Bowsette: You ask me to say it again. You'll be going back to sleep longer than a day. I'll assure you that.

Me: Anger. Even better.

I said patting her back as I crossed my arms. Suddenly a green pipe came from the roof as I looked at Boosette. Thinking it was her magic.

Boosette: Hey that isn't me.

A sealed envelope spout out as it floated towards me and I opened it. Pulling out the letter inside.

Me: It's from Loss.

Bowsette: Odd.

Me: "Rise and Shine. Knowing you. You're already planning to hit up the Koopa Kingdom. Even though this won't be easy. There is a bit of luck on our side. A little ways from the castle there's a small resistance of the residents who weren't mind controlled. This letter will be sending you there very shortly. But besides all that I have one more gift to give you. In the envelope there's a small brown pole. Do not. And I repeat. DO NOT. Press the button on the pole until you get there. Once you're ready send the envelope back through the pipe."

I put the letter back inside as I pulled out the tube. It was about six inches in length and two inches thick.

Me: What is this thing?

Boosette: Who knows. But if this Loss guy is who you guys say he is. It's gotta be useful. I wish you two the best of luck. I need to stay here and make sure no more of my people are cursed by the Dark String.

Bowsette: Sounds good. Until we meet again Cecilia.

The two hugged each other tightly as held a warm smile. To my surprise Boosette hugged me as well afterwards.

Boosette: You keep her at out trouble okay?

Me: Don't worry. It usually finds me first anyways.

She giggled before stepping back as me and Bowsette stood under the pipe. I threw the envelope up into it as pipe grew in size.

Me: Ready princess?

Bowsette: It's time to save my people.

The pipe expanded as it pulled me and Bowsette in. As we where falling through the dark abyss... Something felt different.

Me: Something isn't right...

Bowsette: Hmm.

I was suddenly pulled away from her with no known reason. I couldn't see what even was the cause.

Bowsette: (Y/N)! Whats happening!?

Me: I don't know! Don't worry! I'm pretty sure you'll still arrive where the resistance is.

Bowsette: What about you!?

Me: Don't worry about me! Just make sure that resistance is okay!

She suddenly disappeared as I sighed. I don't even know what happened. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't part of the plan. I just hope the princess gets to safety. A few seconds passed by as I my eyes meet a red light. I looked below seeing it was Bowsette's castle. The whole place was surrounded by Lava. There was some pools even inside the castle. I was already burning up and I haven't even put my feet on the ground. I landed right in the courtyard taking a knee as I did. I looked around guessing this was the middle of it all. I turned around seeing a massive statue. Bit instead of it being Bowsette. It was Plum. I guess she was prepared when she kidnapped Bowsette. You could probably see it outside the castle. The ground beneath me began to rumble as I looked at the entrance if the court yard. Dozens of troops of different forms flooded the yard surrounding me. More than I could possibly handle.

Me: Well.... Shroom.
