Chapter 5

Well, I didn't exactly go splat.

I just hit the floor hard with my elbow and became unconscious. I guess that's still pretty bad.

I open my eyes to Wahoo Cray's  sweat drop on his chin drop on my face. The best sweat droplet ever.

I look around myself and figure out that I'm in his arms and we're in the Cafeteria.

"That wasn't funny, Emily. She could have hit her head." Wahoo said, not realizing I was there.

"What difference would that make? She had nothing up there anyway." Emily snickered. Jade and Brittany didn't do any thing.

Wahoo then stormed off to the office to let me lie down on the clot in the office. His Jersey was a sweaty mix of cotton and nylon, a perfect pillow for my head. I never really got a close look at Wahoo's eyes, which was a rich colour of blue and grey. They looked serious and his eyebrows were furrowed and concerned. Soon enough we were at the office.

"What happened to ur?" Sadie the nurse said with the same accent as Marge. I'm pretty sure that almost every lunch lady and nurse at my school has an accent.

"Floor collision. She was thrown across the Caf." Wahoo said. I closed my eyes, hoping this moment would last forever.

"Lay ur down on the clot." She said. She patted the clot with her hand. I was pretty tired on there and I waited. I simply just closed my eyes, pretending to not be awake yet. About 5 minutes later, I opened my eyes to find Sadie grabbing my arm and examining my elbow. I sat up on the side of the clot, my legs dangling off the side. I looked at Wahoo. He was still here, watching me, making sure I was okay. I  smiled at him and he said, "You okay?"

I looked at my elbow and found that it was really bloody with a touch of purple and some white stuff on my elbow. I screamed. He then walked towards me and I found my blood stain on his Jersey. A mark I'd been there.

"It's okay. A couple of stitches and you'll be okay." He said, touching my arm. Sadie then fit a plastic band around my arms and began pumping it.

"Whoah! High blood pressure! Tone it down, champ!" Sadie said. She always said "champ" when she didn't know your name, after all, she had 700 kids and 30 teachers to see if something went wrong. The only reason I had high blood pressure was because Wahoo Kyle Miguel Cray was talking to me.
