Anna

It was the weekend and I was supposed to see Lucas again. He's taking me to the beach and I want to go so bad. My dad claimed he had something for me to do but he's lying to me again. He just wont let me be with Lucas. 

He's not a bad guy at all.

At least that's what me and my mom think. My dad thinks he's the worst guy on the planet. Hell every guy that talks to me is the worst. I was in the kitchen texting Lucas when my dad came in. 

"Hi my two favorite girls!"

"Hi baby! How's the new song coming?"

"Great my love great." he said kissing my mom on her cheek. I was still texting and being pissed off at him because I couldnt go to the beach. "Anna sweetheart." I sighed still not looking up to his face. "Anna." he said again. I gave a nonchalant shrug and continued to text.

He walked up to me and snatched the phone out of my hand. "Hey what is your deal!?" I said getting up.

"I said your name twice yound lady and frankly I should only have to say it once. Now you will get this back until you learn some respect."

"I have respect. But you dont because you snooped the whole time he was here!"

"Anna dont talk to your father like that." my mom said

"AHHHH!! I HATE THIS HOUSE AND I HATE THESE STUPID RULES!" I said walking out of the kitchen. My dad hustled toward me angry as hell. "ANNA MARIE JACKSON!" he called. I stormed up the stairs and slammed my door.

Skip this house and skip the rules. I never get to have any fun. I plopped on my bed and fell asleep. Later my mom knocked on my door and said dinner was ready.

"I dont want dinner." i said

"Honey you have to eat."

"Yea well im not comin down there with the rule maker." i said nonchalantly. 

"I have your favorite...chicken rosemary with alfredo."

I got up. "See ya down there in 2!" I said getting my slippers. I went downstairs and sat at the table. My dad was sitting there reading something and drinking his usual dinner tea. I crossed my arms and he looked up from the paper.

"Uncross them." he said looking back at the paper.

"Jeez I cant even be comfortable."

"No...you cant be rude. I taught you better."

"Yes you taught me to stay confined to the household with no life."

"Anna you are pushing it. You wont get your iPhone back for a month." he said

"Ill just be quiet because everything I say is wrong."

"Silence is golden. You'll learn sweetheart." he said as my mom came in with the food. I started eating and my mom asked me if I wanted to go with her and her girlfriends to the mall. I didnt say anythign and gave her a gesture saying I couldnt talk.

"Anna answer your mother."

"I nodded and rolled my eyes because I was mad she couldnt get what I was trying to say. She said ok and we'll talk about it later before my dad began drilling my brain. 

"Anna you are grounded. No going to Taylin's house, no going anywhere with friends, no ice cream day and NO LUCAS."

"Of course you were going to say him."

"Oh yes. Because I dont want you dating. I need you to focus on your studies and your music. You're taking AP classes and I need you to focus on exams. Thats more important and a boy with just get in the way."

"Thats what you think. He's a great supporter in whatever I do! Im still doing good in my classes and he even helps me! How could you keep me away from help? You call yourself a "protector" but you are protecting me from all the wrong things!"

"Anna hush your mouth! Ive had it young lady no phone for a month and I mean it!"

"That's enough!" my mom said shutting us both up. "Anna to your room. And Michael honey you need to trust her. We are raising her good and she knows whats right and wrong. If you keep sheltering her she'll just rebel."

My dad was stubborn and he sighed. "Ill think about it....but she still is getting punished for raising her voice and being disrespectful." he said. I stopped listening on the stairs and went to my room.
