When do we start??

"Hey, Nico. Magnus called in. Am I late??" Alex asked. "No, not at all. I also wanted to talk about when we were going to start our journey.. According to the dead line, we've got, uh- roughly a week. Let's assume w-" "Let me stop you right there.. Let's get the others, or else you'll just be wasting your breath." Nico 'humph'-ed and went to wake his temporary room mate.

He opened the door, only to see that Adri hadn't moved a single muscle compared to an hour ago. "She really must be tired.." He thought looking at the exhausted but tranquil face of Adrienne. "Adri, Morte, Adrienne!! Wake up!!" He shook her, but got no response. For a second he was scared. "Maybe she's in a coma??" he mused. Then the twitching of her finger caused him to heave a sigh of relief.

His gears turned and he got an idea. "Adri, WAKE UP!!! The newest season of Good Omens just got RELEASED!!!" He yelled in her ear. It was probable that he was going to get slapped or scratched. He didn't wish that even on his worst enemies. (She had really hurtful hands and sharp claws- I meant fingernails.)

Just like he had expected, she sat up with a start. Thankfully not hurting him in the process. "I-I had the strangest dream ever. Something about Good Omens.." she said, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. Nico snorted. "Not a dream. Magnus actually told me the newest season got released." "Really??!!" Nico saw her eyes light up with excitement. It was wholesome, in its own way.

"Yeah, now get up sleepy head." he said, getting off her bed, the faintest ghost of a smile lingering on his lips. "I hate you..." he heard her grumble behind him. But, he also heard the sound of shuffling feet, so he figured his plan worked.

She fell into step beside him. "How did you know that was gonna work??" He figured she was talking about waking her up, so he answered "You just go on and on about the show. I basically have the storyline and characters memorized, just in case you decide to make a reference."

She punched his arm slightly. "I don't do that.." she quickly walked to the library, which the four demigods have made their personal and temporary headquarters. He followed behind her, chuckling, the sound just barely reaching her ears. She smiled involuntarily at the sound of his, 'slightly high but acceptable male tone' chuckles(His words, not mine).

"Hey Beantown!!" she announced happily, as she entered the roof-top deck. "Not you too!!" Magnus whined. "Okay. Let's start again then. Hey Magnus!!" Magnus looked slightly surprised that she dropped it so quickly. Nico walked from behind Adri, effectively giving her a premature heart attack. She slapped his arm gently, scowling. "Firstly, Ow!! Secondly, what was that for??" Nico demanded, feigning hurt. "Don't spook me! Sei un idiota!!" Nico sat down. "Oh so, I'm the idiot for scaring you??" he raised his brows.

"Yes." Adri yet again, showcased her poetic prowess as sat down on the sofa next to Nico. Magnus was quiet, watching the friendly bickering. "You two actually sound friendly when you bicker. If it were Alex and I, it would've ended with a pottery shard thrown at someone's face." Adrienne snorted and took the glass of orange juice kept on the table. "Yum," she said, taking a sip. "Whose idea was the orange juice? It's my favourite."

The winged demigod caught Magnus staring at Nico in awe and Nico in return looking proud. "You seemed the orange type." "Talk about stereotypes.." Adri grumbled into her glass. Nico threw a balled up Kleenex at her.(Thankfully, clean) Adri looked outraged. Just as she was about to return the favour, our favourite shapeshifter walked in.

"What's going on??" she asked, her rose Ray Bans catching the late morning light. "Alex, since you're here, let's begin. We've got nine more days, approximately. In this time frame, Hela is going to raise her dishonored dead and draugr. We'll have to start our journey, preferably today." Nico briefed them in one breath.

"Well, we know the entrance to Helheim is somewhere near the borders of Niflheim. And that Helheim is the lowest point of Niflheim." Adri began, checking the notes she and Nico made. "To get there, we need a vessel. I've got a Viking longboat, but it isn't much use underwater." Magnus said.  "We need to find a submarine of sorts." Alex said. Nico suddenly snapped his head, as if he had an idea.

"Can't we dig our way through??" he asked. "No, I don't think so. It's too cold and it's completely ice and water. The last time we were there," Magnus began. "the only reason we didn't freeze over was because we had the blessings of Skadi, the goddess of winter. Our goddess, at least." Alex finished.

"Y'know, maybe there is an advice giving arrow or something??" Looking at their faces, Nico realized they hadn't gotten what he meant. "I don't know about speaking arrows, but I've definitely got a speaking sword.." With that, Magnus summoned Jack. "Hey señor!! If we want to get through the ice to Niflheim, you'll need the dwarves' help. But if you go there Hermod style, it'll take you nine full days."

Adri's face portrayed her anxiousness. "We might not have that long. We'll also probably-slash-most-definitely have to battle Hel's guardians, Garm, Modgud and Hraesvelg." "I hate quests. Can't a sixteen year old live in peace??" Nico asked, his head turned towards the heavens.

"Well, we should probably go to Nidavellir, the dwarven realm." "Well, what are we waiting for?? Let's get going. The sooner we stop my sister's plans, the better." Alex said, and leaped of the roof, turning into a flamingo, mid-fall.

"Well you two, come down and meet us there. I'll show you the ducks." Magnus also jumped off the roof, Jack helping him land safely. "What ducks??" Adri questioned no one in particular.

Nico turned towards his companion. "Adrienne, will you be fine?? I get the feeling you aren't comfortable going into cold places.." Nico started slowly, tracking all of her movements. She was fiddling with the single bangle she wore on her hand, her brows scrunched. "It's just, potremmo fare tutto questo ma alla fine finiremo negli Inferi, a Helheim o qualcosa del genere. Sento che Hel si sta connettendo a me, a causa della mia connessione diretta con la morte." (Translation: We could be doing all of these but in the end, we're going to end up in the Underworld, helheim or something. I feel like Hel's connecting to me, because of my direct connection with death.)

Nico briefly touched her hand. "You'll be fine. Plus, we're in this together. Non preoccuparti. Ci riusciremo e poi ti presenterò ai miei amici e ti porterò nel mio McDonald's preferito." (Translation: Don't worry about it. We're going to succeed and then I'll introduce you to my friends and I'll take you to my favourite McDonald's place.) "Grazie mille, Nico.." (Translation: Thank you very much.) Adri gave Nico a brief hug, which he totally didn't enjoy (wink, wink)

"Anyway, let's go." Adri said, flexing her wings and diving from the rooftop. Nico groaned, mumbling something about the only one who can't fly and shadow travelled to where the others were.
