"You haven't got a metal detector in your spooky bag??" Nico asked Adri as they walked towards the barn. "Let me get out my conveniently placed metal detector. Oh wait, I don't have one." "You have everything but a metal detector??" "That is exactly what I just said, di Angelo." Adri huffed.

          "Right. A small chain in a kilometer wide space. Easy." "It will be, if someone played his father's power to his advantage." "What's that supposed to mean??" Nico asked, stopping and staring at Adrienne. "I mean, your father has geokinesis. So, you must've inherited a little more than just his control-over-the-dead powers."

          Nico looked thoughtful. "I dunno. Control over what's under the Earth is usually Pluto's domain. Not Hades'. I never really tried." "Well, try it now. We need Ambrosia before we can go get Nectar from Persephone." "Fine. Let me try." 

          As the two walked on, Nico took short intervals, trying to concentrate and move stuff like the rocks around, or Adri's ring she placed on the ground. "You need to do it, if you want to get back to Boston. If not, we'll spend a few valuable hours." Adri encouraged him, though to him, it seemed as if she was discouraging him.

          After a few more tries, he managed to move Adri's ring a centimeter from its original place. "That's good. Now close your eyes and try sensing where the ring is. I'll go hide it." After telling Nico to close his eyes, Adri looked around and hid the ring under a rock. 

          "Done." "Okay.." Nico rubbed his hands and walked around with his eyes slightly closed. Near a particular area, he bent down and began moving his hand a few inches above the ground. He moved around and stopped suddenly. He looked at Adri in triumph. "Here is your ring, m'lady!!" "That's great!! Now to try it on a much larger scale!!" Nico huffed at Adri's bright tone, grumbling 'You're not the one that's sensing it..'

          Adri carefully opened the barn door and walked inside. Nico glanced at her and was about to say something, but Adri interrupted him. "You go that side. I'll use my metal detector and scout the other side. We'll cover more ground, that way." He stared at her open-mouthed. "You have it!!" he whisper-yelled. "I did. I had a feeling you'll have to use your earth bending powers later on. That's why." Nico glared at her. He then proceeded to turn on his ankle and march the other way, without looking back.
