Arthur's ready to go by now, and he's standing on his porch in a casually formal outfit. Adjusting his bowler hat, he looked into his wallet to make sure there was plenty of money in it.
Arthur suddenly felt two fingers lightly tap his neck from behind him and jolted forward, shivering. Turning to face who was behind him, he saw Matenou standing there, laughing. "Oh, it's you!!" Arthur put his palm against his face, laughing as well.
Matenou smiled and moved the hand from the human's face. "Ready to go?"
Arthur nodded and went to step off the porch, but to his surprise, Matenou scooped him up bridal style. Arthur shrieked from shock, then blushed when he noticed he was being carried in strong, muscular arms. Matenou just chuckled and teleported somewhere, Arthur being transported with.
. . .
The teleporting was new to Arthur, and he was incredibly dizzy when they stopped. He was seeing quadruples of everything, and Arthur thought he was going to see like this for the rest of his life.
Matenou let out a nervous chuckle, and tapped the human's forehead until his vision was getting back to him. "Sorry about that, I didn't really think over about how humans don't teleport on an minutely basis." Matenou set Arthur down in the grass, and sat beside him.
Arthur blinked a few times until his vision was normal again. "Wha-" He jerked his head to look over at Matenou. "Minutely basis?!" The young male exclaimed.
Matenou laughed. "When you're as busy as me, you're gonna be teleporting a lot to be ahead of schedule." He got up, taking Arthur's hand and bringing him to a stand. "By the way, you look really cute~"
Arthur blushed. "Thank you-" He was cut off by Matenou scooping him up bridal style again, and flying off.
The human let out a yelp of surprise, clinging to the Yo-Kai and hoping to dear God that he wouldn't be dropped.
Another teleport later, the two finally reached a lake of twinkling waters. Arthur opened his eyes, turning his head to look out at the lake. "Wow.." He seemed in love with the view in front of him.
Matenou smiled, carrying his date to an area hidden by the drooping branches of willow trees.
. . .
Matenou and Arthur had sat in the hidden area on the grass for hours, just talking and learning more and more about the other, laughing at the times where the other was being a dork or had said a bad joke.
When it was getting dark, they got up, walking out of the park where the lake was and heading into town. Holding hands, the two made their way down the empty Main Street, enjoying the silent company of having someone with them.
Out of nowhere, it started raining. Arthur noticed a clothes store with the lights on, so he pulled Matenou with him into the warm, dry building where they would be out of the rain.
Arthur took interest in a rack of hoodies, slipping his hand out of the fallen angel's and going to the hoodie heaven. Matenou stared out the glass entrance door, wiping water off of his halo as he watched the rain fall.
Someone put their head against Matenou's arm. The Yo-Kai looked down at Arthur, who looked back up at him. "Hey, I got us hoodies to keep us dry!" He reached into a shopping bag that was sitting on the floor, pulling out a black hoodie with the word "crown" stamped on in big caps with white, a crown hovering over the "w".
Matenou's eyes widened a bit as the other male slipped the hoodie over his head, pulling the hood up, trapping the fluffy curls of his hair. Arthur giggled, and Matenou felt his cheeks getting warm.
"Awwwww, you're adorable!!!" The human cooed, playing with one of the hair wings poking out of Matenou's hoodie.
Matenou blushed, mumbling something to himself as Arthur took his hoodie from the bag and put it on. Arthur put up his hood up over his hat and picked up the bag, throwing it into the recycling. He then opened the door, stepping outside.
Matenou followed after him. "Shouldn't we teleport to your house?"
Arthur turned around. "It's only sprinkling out now, I'll race you there!" And with that, he bolted down the street, taking a right corner. Matenou grinned, jumping up to give him a boost as he started flying after the human.
. . .
Matenou had easily caught up to Arthur, and he carried him the rest of the way. Arthur couldn't help himself. Matenou had scooped him up, and he's WAY stronger. Arthur didn't seem to care too much, though, because he just shut his eyes and rested his head on the angel's chest.
Matenou set Arthur on his feet. "Thanks for taking me out, Matenou! I had fun~" Arthur smiled.
Matenou smiled back, taking down his hood. "And thanks for going out with me~" Matenou kissed his boyfriend, with the kiss being returned.
The rain clouds cleared away, leaving Matenou and Arthur kissing under the stars.
