Devasena goes into their chamber with Amarendra and locks the door.

Ammu, to stay true to his Devu, chooses the floor away from 'Saro' and rolls over down. Devu places his head carefully on a pillow and covers him with the blanket. Then taking another pillow she too sleeps on the floor a bit distanced from him.

Next morning,

Devasena gets up and after her daily routine, she pushes the curtains aside allowing the morning rays to enter their room. When sunlight falls on Ammu's face he stirs from his sleep and looks beside for his wife but finds himself sleeping on the floor. Rubbing his eyes he gets up.

A: Huh.. why am I sleeping on the floor. Devasena... Devuuu...

Devasena is walking around fumigating the room with the smoke of "dhoop". Seeing her husband awake and calling her, she goes to him.

A: Goodmorning Devasena!

He grins at her but she keeps a straight face.

A: Why am I lying on the floor Devu ?? Did I fall down in my sleep ??

He asks innocently after creating havoc the previous night. Obviously he isn't able to remember a thing of what happened.

Devasena places a towel on the bed indicating it is time for his bath. He senses that something isn't right from the look on his wife's face. Scratching his head, he gets up and changes into his bath clothes that is a piece of vastra tied around his waist. He goes to the bathing area and Devasena follows him. She holds his hand and makes him sit on a stool. Cupping some oil in her hand, she rubs it on his hair and massages his head.

A: Aaaa wow... so nice... so good... Devu, you have magic in your fingers.. feeling very relaxed...aaaaa....

He enjoys the head massage given by her. Taking some more oil, she rubs it on his neck, shoulders, arms, torso and other parts. Her touch makes him go crazy and he gives her a romantic look unaware of the consequences. Devasena seeing that dumb smile on his face recalls the last night, him coming drunk and mistaking her for a courtesan. She switches to her  warrior mode and grasping his hair rotates his head ferociously. Ammu howls in pain.

After giving him a bath, he drapes his vastra and sits like an obedient boy as she wipes his head. After drying his hair, she combs and sets it. Taking the paste, she draws the crescent tilak on his forehead. Lastly putting the jewels on him. Ammu still clueless gives her a cute expression by twitching his nose and sticking his tongue out. Devasena feels like pulling his cheeks but refrains from doing so and maintains a firm stance. Taking some kohl from the corner of her eye, she places a dot on his cheek to ward off evil eyes.

A: Devasena why aren't you talking to me ??

Without speaking a word to him she summons her maid to call Kattappa. He arrives and greeting Devasena he bows his head standing aside. Ammu eyes him asking what happened for which he gives a "we are dead" expression.

A mv: Huh..uh..mmm I must have done some mischief so Devu is angry.. oh no I can't remember a thing!!

Ka: Talli, it is not his fault since it was my birthday I only took him and made him drink.... he refused but I forced him he is innocent let him go.. you can punish me.

As if attesting kattappa's confession, Ammu nods his head.

D: Who he is innocent ? If you offered him drinks where was his brains ?? He knows I don't like all this. He came back drunk and created a ruckus. Is he aware of that ?

Ammu keeps a puppy face. Devasena walks to kattappa who still has his eyes downcast. In a stern tone,

D: Kattappa, if I was your own daughter would you have taken him for a drink and spoil him like this ? I am afterall someone else's daughter right so you didn't mind....

He looks up to her.

Ka: No no talli, I never thought that way. The day you stepped foot into Mahishmati I have seen you as my own daughter only. I promise you talli this will never happen again. I am sorry. Whatever punishment you give I will accept.
