Six
Hope looked over the side of her easel towards the brunette human, taking in her slightly golden skin, her soft chestnut hair and her entrancing figure, it captivated her utterly but she couldn't understand why. Stephanie was only human so why did she entrance Hope so much?
The painting on her easel was basically a copy of the real Stephanie, from the sleepless and haunted look in her eyes down to the smallest detail on her skin and clothes. Even though they were painting each other, Hope couldn't feel slightly awkward painting Stephanie's lips, her blue eyes locking on them, watching as the brunette human carelessly trapped a brush between her teeth, jutting her bottom lip out slightly to make sure the brush didn't fall.
Stephanie wasn't painting the Hope before her however, she was painting the Hope that she had first seen in this universe, her legs crossed and her leaning back on the chair, she would, of course, peer over to Hope only to catch her looking at her, causing her to smile slightly.
The peaceful atmosphere in the room was calm enough that Hope could hear Stephanie's calm heartbeat and it was a sound that Hope quickly and silently decided was her favourite, it would halt for a moment of skip a beat here or there and it made her smile because it was when she could feel the human's eyes on her.
"I'm done." Stephanie's calm voice filled her ears, causing her to peer over to her once more, the sight she caught was the sight that she had told her to look for when she bid her goodbye at the party, wet and clean paintbrush holding her hair in a twirly bun and she had a bit of pain on her fingers. Truly a sight to behold.
Hope placed everything down and turned the easel around so that the human could see it. Stephanie was shocked to see Hope's painting, with all the pain inside of her, she had forgotten how talented Hope was at painting, something that made her quite ashamed of her painting, Hope could repaint the Mona Lisa or the Last Supper and no one would know that it was a fake, that's how talented the tribrid was.
"You've captured me pretty well." Stephanie smiled at the mythical loophole before her, watching as a blush rose on her cheeks causing her to smile even brighter, "Well don't keep me waiting." Hope chuckled, putting her easel back in place.
"Okay, but you have to promise not to laugh. I'm nowhere near as talented as you." Stephanie pleaded, casting the auburn haired girl one last look before turning her easel around, Hope's blue eyes widen as she saw herself the day she lost her father and uncle, the day she saw her mother when she kinda died.
Even though she had only seen Stephanie for the first time then, the human before her had captured her masked pain to perfection, she had captured desperate look in her blue eyes and even though she looked like hell, she had felt like hell, Stephanie made her look almost ethereal, like an angel.
