"Are you sure that this will work?" Stephanie Salvatore questioned as she pulled a blanket over her sleeping sisters, her voice was hoarse and her eyes were still red from the immense crying she'd been doing over the past few weeks. "Absolutely." An older woman claimed, her chocolate skin glistening in the light that the fireplace gave them.
"Have you ever done this?" Stephanie quizzed, standing next to the older woman with her arms crossed, her hazel eyes casting towards the older woman, "Not quite, I've helped the twins create an ascendant. Which essentially is a transport to another world." Bonnie Bennett replied, her green eyes locking on the younger girl's figure.
Stephanie looked so much like her parents it was actually quite scary, she had her mother's looks but she was quite like her father, personality and way of being, the twins, however, were very much like their father in looks and mother in personality. Her slender hand was wrapped around the amulet that rested on her chest, an amulet that she never took off her neck ever since she got it.
"You know, she would never ask you to do this. In fact, she'd be against it." Bonnie claimed, "I know, she's always against any and everything that can kill me." Stephanie smiled sadly, "Stubborn Mikaelson." "Stubborn Salvatore." Bonnie rebutted, a light blush covered Stephanie's cheeks as she looked away from the fire.
"You're mom and dad would be proud that you're attempting this." Jeremy Gilbert stated as he entered the house, quickly placing the crossbow on the table as he entered the room, a warm smile on his face, "Uncle Jeremy!" Stephanie sighed in content, turning to his, "How's it looking out there?" Bonnie inquired worriedly, "Chaos but calm for now. Good job on the illusion and silence charms Bon." Jeremy replied.
Bonnie smiled at the compliment and looked at the sleeping twins, "This is not what Elena and Damon had in mind for their children." she claimed quietly, "You're right, they definitely didn't have in mind their eldest daughter being Hope Mikaelson's significant other."Jeremy chuckled, wrapping his arm around his eldest niece's neck, placing her in a mocking headlock and giving her a noogie.
Stephanie groaned and pushed him off giving him a mock glare as she fixed her hair "Don't touch the hair." she hissed, "Do you think the square will be clear tomorrow?" Bonnie questioned, bringing the attention back to her and the plan. "I think so. I think they skipped town." Jeremy replied. "Good, we need the peace and serenity for the spell to be correct." Bonnie sighed in content.
"You should get some rest, tomorrow is going to be filled with emotions and you also need your strength." Jeremy told his eldest niece with a soft smile, Stephanie nodded and got on her tippy toes to place a small peck on her uncle's cheek before kissing Bonnie's cheek and trudging up the stairs to her mother's old bedroom.
Well, it was also technically her room since they had moved back into the house when all hell broke loose, but it was still empty, no new picture and the old ones were stuffed in a photo album in one of the twins' duffel bags. As she laid on the bed her mind reeled back to her lover, or rather to her death, the reunion of the Original family and it's doom thus starting the chaos that had ensued after it, she could see it every time she closed her eyes, it was a never-ending nightmare that she could not escape, it was a truly horrifying scenery that she could not forget but was bound to remember every time she closed her eyes.
"Do you think that she's strong enough? To make sure that none of this happens?" Jeremy inquired, his tone low as he looked at his old lover and friend, "I hope so, but we both know that she'll do any and everything to make sure that she doesn't lose Hope again." Bonnie replied, her green eyes casting to the tall brunette boy before turning to the twins, "As well as make sure that her sisters get the life they deserve."
"Those two were quite a pair, the two against the world. Not even their parents could keep them apart." Jeremy remembered, his hands curling into fists in his pockets, "If she was a vampire she would have turned her humanity off." he mumbled, "Good thing that she isn't then. We met no humanity Elena and no humanity Damon and neither of them were nice people." Bonnie hummed.
