CHAPTER 15

Everyone turned to look at enthusiastic boy, no other than Lambo. But, Reborn clearly ignored him. Didn't wait for his approval, Lambo started on his story.

"Ore-sama Mama is very beautiful and smiles a lot too. She takes Ore-sama out of slum and brought me to this outside world,"

FLASHBACK

"Congratulations, you're pregnant. It almost 6 weeks pregnancy" said the doctor with a smile to a beautiful lady with wavy black hair. Sitting beside her was an old woman with a scowling face. Instead of the old woman congratulating the young lady, she hit her hard.

"Who told you to get pregnant, huh? Who the bastard did you allow to impregnate you?" the old woman looked so furious that she grabbed her hair and pull it hard.

"Madam, please calm down. Your daughter is pregnant," said the doctor tried to remind the old woman.

"What did you say?! Daughter?!! This bitch is not my fucking daughter. She is the lowest human being, a prostitute," yelled the old woman in anger before she grabbed the young woman's hair again and threatening her.

"I will make sure to get that creature out of you," said the old woman and leaving the young woman alone. The young woman then turned to look at the doctor.

"The baby is in good condition?" she asked while rubbing her flat stomach.

"Yes, it is," the doctor smiled slightly.

"That's a relief," there were look of happiness on her eyes, secretly happy with the life that growing inside of her.

Indeed, that was not the end. The old woman was in fact the owner of one of the famous brothel in the city and that young woman is what you called the 'top workers' caused of her pretty face.

After coming back from the clinic, the torture begins. The owner and her son would do anything to make sure that the young woman suffered miscarriage. They would beat her, starve her and harassing her. But, she would always take all the beatings to herself, and at the same time, guarding her stomach so nothing would happened to the baby.

"Give her this medicine. This will eliminated whatever things inside her now," the young woman could barely hear it as she was exhausted from the torture she had just now. She could see the owner's son approached her after taking some suspicious pills from his mother.

Didn't know where the strength come from, she tackled the owner's son down when he crouched down beside her. She quickly grabbed the dagger she strapped on her waist and put it close to his artery and look at the owner with murderous glare.

"Want to feel like how it is to lose your precious son?" said the young woman, adding pressure to the dagger.

"Don't you dare hurt him!" barked the owner in anger.

"You too, don't you dare harm my baby!! If you tried once again to get rid of him, like people said, life debt can only be paid by life. Don't blame me, if only your son's head is the only left on your doorstep," said the young woman. The owner took a step back in fear when she see how serious the young woman is.

She later push the son back to his mother and walked slowly to her room, rubbing her baby bump.

"Don't worry, my little baby. I will protect you,"

Seven month has passed and now it is the time to give birth to her baby. The owner completely ignored her and told her to just die when she told her about her labor pain and need to go to hospital immediately. Gathering up her courage, she walked out the brothel and slowly make her way to the hospital, but the pain got her the best. She almost collapsed before a pair of warm hands grabbed her. She turned and saw a man looked at her in worry.

"Are you okay, madam?"

"Please, please save my baby," was her last word before she lost her consciousness.

When the woman woke up, she was presented with a bundle of joy. A cute baby with curly black hair. She kissed his cheek and sniffed his calming aroma.

"Welcome to the world, Lambo. Mommy will not allow any harm to befall you," said the young woman while kissed the baby's forehead.

=4 years later=

"Give me that child or no one will be harmed," said the owner, trying to separate a 4 years old Lambo from his mother but still the mother hold him tightly and didn't even budge when the owner threatened to kill her.

"Get him," said the owner to her son. Her son quickly grabbed Lambo away from his mother by kicking her. Seeing the blood running down her temples cause the crying Lambo to turn hysterical.

"Mommy!!!!" screamed Lambo, while spark of green lightning come out from his body and then bigger spark appear as he cried louder and pierce the owner and her son at their chest, ending their life instantly.

"Mommy," cried Lambo while running to his mother and hug her. She was still frozen from shock, looking at the two bodies lying lifelessly. Thinking only one thought in her mind, she quickly grabbed Lambo and ran away from the place.

=2 weeks after=

The mother is now at the brink of starvation. For 2 weeks, they didn't have any place to stay or any foods to eat. Even when she asked for help or job, people would reject her. one is because she carrying a child with her and second is because of her bruise all around her body make people fear to help or even hire her.

The loaf of bread she stole out of desperation was only enough to keep Lambo from getting hungry. Right now, she only walk to where her legs took her and she stopped in front of the hut, deep in the forest. She barely had any strength to go any further if she was rejected again this time. If she's gone, who would be there for her Lambo? That's why, she pray that the person living in the hut has a good and kind heart.

Later, the door opened revealed a small boy with short white hair. She only looked at him and before she could say anything, the boy called for another man to come greet the guest at the front door.

"What is this, Ryohei? I told you I hated human," growled Reborn, looking at the exhausted woman up and down then stop at the sleeping child behind her back.

"But, she really look like she need help, sensei,"

"Whatever, a human still a human," said Reborn, trying to close the door but was stopped by the woman.

"Please. It's fine if you dont want to help me, I know I wouldn't live longer after this, but this child, he still had a long way to go. Please, help me," begged the woman, showing to Reborn a clear view of sleeping Lambo. Reborn's eyes widened when he seethe resemblance he had with someone, then later giving his approval. Smiling, the woman left her son there, keep saying thanks to Reborn and Ryohei for accepting Lambo and walk away from the hut.

END OF FLASHBACK

"After ore-sama woke up the next morning, Mama wasn't there," said Lambo sadly. "But when ore-sama grown up, ore-sama will go look for Mama,"

"Lambo," said Ryohei, look like he want to say something to Lambo but he hesitated and look elsewhere. But, others except Lambo, Chrome and Tsuna noticed his look.

"Just speak what you want to say, lawn head,"

"Shut up, tako head." Growled Ryohei and then look guiltily at Lambo. "Lambo, the truth is your mother is gone. And gone which mean she not alive anymore,"

"W-What?" Lambo looked at him with wide eyes.

"Actually, that morning, I go out to the forest to go look for a firewood. And I saw her near a tree, not breathing anymore. Sorry, I couldn't tell you the truth, I just don't know how to tell the truth to you. I'm really sorry," said Ryohei, looking down sadly. Meanwhile, for Lambo, finally understand what Ryohei tell him cries out loudly.

"Mama!!!"

Takeshi slowly pats Lambo's head. "Shh, calm down, Lambo. Your Mama already at peace now. She didn't have to suffer anymore. But if you cry like this, she must be sad. She is so strong for everything she gone through to protect you. I'm sure Ryohei know where her grave is, let's go to meet her later, okay?" Takeshi smiled reassuringly at Lambo and then Lambo nodded in agreement. His Mama is at peace now, his Mama is not in pain anymore. And that is all that matter to him. Forever, he will always love his Mama.
