Exposure
(Tim's p.o.v.)
I felt a sudden heat crawl up my neck to my cheeks. Lillian had just exposed my entire secret, my crush on (Y/N). I hung my head down low, my only visibility would be down at my feet. I was afraid to look up at her, to see (Y/N)'s reaction. The only thing that was audible was Lillian lightly chuckling for exposing me and the wind gently combing through the woods.
"Tim, is that true?" (Y/N) asked. I didn't respond to her. I didn't even want to be near her, so I slightly slid away from her. "T-Tim?" I stayed silent. I was afraid that I would say something stupid, but I was afraid of admitting to her. I mean, what would she say back? I've only known her for about an hour and fifty minutes. I heard (Y/N) sigh and felt her rub my back. "Tim, is it?" she asked me again. "Please, tell me." I refused to tell her, so I took off running into the woods. I wanted to be alone, I didn't want to tell her, and most importantly, I didn't want to see her react. I found the shed and ran inside, shutting the door behind me. I then sat in the corner on the opposite side of the door, curled up, and began to cry.

My arm hovered in mid-air, about where Tim was sitting, I think. I then slowly dragged it to the candle that remained cold on my lap. The candle felt a bit bumpy on the edge from the hot wax cooling off, I suppose, but the rest of the candle was smooth and rounded.
"If only he knew," I muttered, my voice wavering from a lump in my throat. "Just... Only i-if..." I traced my fingers around the candle's cold, bumpy edge and felt cold tears roll down my cheeks.
"(Y)-(Y/N), are you alright?" Lillian asked. I gently shook my head, making the tears on my cheeks drip, land onto my legs and soak onto my pants. I felt Lillian sit next to me and pull me into a soft, gentle hug.
"L-Lillian, you don't have to do that," I softly whimpered.
"I know, (Y/N), but it was my fault," Lillian replied. "I shouldn't have said that to Tim." I only stayed silent. "Say, speaking of Tim..." Lillian trailed. "You like him, don't-" I quickly pushed Lillian away, and faced away from her, wiping my tears away at the same time.
"N-no. I-I like him as a f-friend. N-nothing special," I stuttered. "I-I guess." I thought for a moment. And began to blush.
"(Y/N), be honest. Please," she asked. I refused to answer and to look at her. "Please?"
I sighed. "Okay. I do like him, even though I've only known him for an hour or two, Lillian," I answer sternly. "I don't know why, but I just do."
"Well, what do you like about my brother?" she asks. When she asks me this, I actually think hard on why I like Tim, but then, she's just probably gonna use it against me.
"I like Tim, b-because he's.... so nice to me. His chuckle and his voice always makes me sure that I'm actually safe for once," I reply, finally turning around. " Personally, I like him because he actually talks with me and not sit in silence, trying to ignore me."
"Oh," Lillian murmured. "That's why... Usually, people don't even stop to look at him, so they just... Run. You're actually the first person that's not from here to talk to Tim. Otherwise, he's usually really lonely." Just then, I heard Mylissa screaming.

I couldn't just stay in the shed and feel bad for myself. Somebody would find me in here eventually. I uncurled myself and wiped the tears away from my face. Then, I heard someone knocking.
"T-Tim, are you i-in here?" I heard a familiar, timid voice call. I stayed silent. "T-Tim, please let m-me in." He knocked again. I sighed, got up and opened the shed door to find my twin brother, Tom standing there.
