When Pj was just a little kid, he had always been told that his father was a horrid monster, one who hated everyone and everything. One that would love nothing more than destroy the multiverse because he's bored. One who enjoys destroying.

Pj's younger brother by five minutes tended to disagree with what their mother said about their father... Pj just went along with what his mother said, unable to find any outside facts to dissuade what his mother said.

Everyone he's met so far said the same things... So why shouldn't he believe them, right?

... When his Uncle Dream had invited them to go with him to an uncle they hadn't met yet, they weren't expecting their father to be there as well..

The two twins had followed their uncle from behind, both holding each others hands as comfort.

They'd only heard things about their Uncle Nightmare.. Most of them not good. Uncle Dream assured them that Uncle Nightmare wasn't a bad person and that he would be nice.

When they actually encountered the goop covered skeleton, their Uncle Dream was proven right. Uncle Nightmare was very nice! Even though he can act a bit scary, he had good reason.

Uncle Nightmare had taken a liking to the twins and made sure they were comfortable.

Then their two uncles went to go talk in the kitchen while the twins stayed in the living room to play with the board games their uncle had..

They had heard a loud computer crash sound from behind them. When they checked, they saw a glitched skeleton standing there with error signs in his eyesockets. He looked panicked...

Their uncles ran into the room, Uncle nightmare immediately using sleeping magic on the skeleton that allowed the other to fall into a peaceful sleep.

While uncle Nightmare handled the now sleeping skeleton, Uncle Dream explained everything to them...

The fact that he wasn't allowed to tell them the truth, the fact their mother was actually their father, that the glitched skeleton that was laying on the couch sleeping was actually their mother. The fact that their actual mother wanted nothing more than to be with them and not destroy...

That their actual father wanted heirs to creation and tricked their actual mother being another they accidentally learned from someone named CC who was a ghost attached to someone named Cross.

So , after a while of their uncles convincing their actual mother that their actual father wasn't there with them, the twins finally had a moment to talk between themselves about it.

Gradient looked at his slightly older brother with a tilt of his skull, his eyelights shining brightly," You realize who actually is lying.. Right?"

Pj nodded, him hugging his slightly younger brother," Yeah... Sorry for not following what you were saying before.."

Gradient giggled, patting Pj's arm," No problem.."

Pj was quiet for a little while, before a smirk worked its way onto his face,".... Our father liked lying to us... Well, we can do that too! Wanna help mama with his job as destroyer???"

Gradient perked up," Yes!"

Ink was about to regret letting the boys go with dream...
