Lindsey had spent hours alone thinking, could he really leave his wife? Could he get over the betrayal? It's not as if she slept with this guy, but the thought that kept going around in his head was how she said she would have if she wasn't pregnant! The guilt Lindsey felt for driving her to another man was killing him, and no amount of alcohol was helping

He thought back over the past few weeks and realised that he should have given the album a break and just spent some time with his family, he just thought they would have understood when they knew what he was doing, but obviously he was wrong

Lindsey made his way back to his home, he needed some stuff to take back to the hotel with him, he walked in and up the stairs, the house was silent, he poked his head around the children's door and saw that they were fast asleep, he then made his way to his bedroom, he walked in quietly because if Stevie was asleep he didn't want to wake her, he didn't really want to talk to her at the moment, it still hurt to much

Walking in he saw that she to was fast asleep, eyes puffy and red from all the crying she had been doing since he left, he looked at her form, she was so beautiful to him, curled up on the bed with her blonde hair cascading around her shoulders, with one hand resting protectively on her stomach, Lindsey suddenly realised he couldn't be angry at this woman, she had given him so much, she deserved a second chance

Talking off his shoes and clothes he put on his pyjama pants and slipped into the other side of the bed, he scooted as close to his wife as he could and wrapped his arms around her from behind, his hand automatically found its way to his child, Stevie stirred slightly and Lindsey placed a kiss on her shoulder

"Stephanie...I'm home baby..." Stevie turned her head to face him, she took one look at him and burst into tears

"Baby come here" he spoke and she turned around in his arms and moved as close to him as physically possible

"Oh Lindsey I'm so sorry!" She cried into his chest, causing him to join in

"It's alright I forgive you"

"Your staying right?" She looked him in the eye, her lip and chin trembling "please say your staying and your not saying goodbye...oh Linds please say you won't divorce me?"

"Steph baby, I'm not divorcing you, or leaving you, I'm back and I'm staying" he stroked her cheek

"Why? I've broken your heart"

"Because my darling, I made vows about 20 years ago, that said 'for better or for worse' but I mean if you want me to go..." He said jokingly as he moved to get up, Stevie pulling him back

"No don't you dare!" He lay on his back and she cuddled up to him

"Lindsey what happened won't ever happen again I promise you! You believe me don't you?"

"I do, it's my own fault anyway, I should never have spent so long in that damn studio!" Lindsey was still angry with himself

"No! Don't ever think that! I should have known better, I guess it was that and because I was mad it brought back Carol Anne and you being with her again..."

"There was one difference"

"I know you couldn't remember me or the kids but..." Lindsey interrupted

"Stevie it's different because I never even kissed her"

"Wait what?"

"I never kissed her, I guess my mind and heart knew deep down I had you" Stevie started to cry again

"Baby what?"

"I guess knowing that makes me feel worse"

"Stevie we need to forget about it okay? It happened and it's finished with! Anyway did you like the album?" He said trying to change the subject

"Lindsey it was beautiful, it was such an amazing dedication to the kids and I, and that cover will bring tears to my eyes every time I see it probably! I love you!" Lindsey kissed her temple

"I'm glad you like it! And I love you too! Now how about we get some sleep aye?" Stevie nodded and turned over, pulling his arm with her so he could carry on holding her, she turned her head and gave him a short but passionate kiss and they both drifted off into a much needed sleep
