"Yo, big fella." Tobias finds us huddled over my laptop all the while Lizzie keeps telling me, I'll be caught out using an AI programme. Honestly, I think she's being over dramatic.

"Hi Tobias. How was politics?" Does my bestie know everyone's class schedules. That is insane.

"Cool. It's interesting obvs otherwise I wouldn't be doing it." Tobias wants to get into law and has a whole structure of classes that just make me wince. He is definitely the brains out of us all, although Denver does a mean second. For me, I'm bright but it's nowhere in Tobias' league.

"I'm having a get together later if y'all want to come over. Kind of like a study group thing, then some vid games. I've got a new Pro game for NHL."

"I'm in." Lizzie glares at me.

"You better not be drinking." Her voice has that serious tone to it. Lizzie sure is adorable when she's serious, I could pull her right to me and kiss those damn pretty lips.

"No beers," Toby affirms. "My folks are around in any case. We can hang up stairs in my space." And when he says my space we're talking a whole entire floor.

His folks house has three floors plus a basement and Tobes has the very top floor. The bedroom is ginormous. In all there are four rooms on the top floor, one is his dedicated computer room with more screens I swear, than Nasa. Then there is another room that he uses as his cinema/games room when he wants to play on the big screen or play an interactive shooting game. This guy is so lucky. I wish my folks had a third floor. Don't get me wrong their house is even bigger but the rooms are mostly guest rooms, an office for my dad, a library that I hardly use and then our master suite bedrooms.

"Awesome. Count me in for sure. Lizzie?" I ask, she's biting her lower lip. I know she still feels crap and hungover from last night, she's probably just feeling like crawling back home and hiding under her duvet.

"Nah. You guys hang out. I've got a lot of work on and I want to read and chill tonight in my bed. Last night was way too much for me."

Tobias raises his eyebrows. "She drank too much with the girls."

"Ah. Never drink on a school night, Lizzie" He says.

"I know. I know. It kinda just happened. Right, Brandon are we done here only I've got to get to my next class?"

I nod and start packing my stuff away.

"Anyone seen Tammy today?" Tobes asks. We all know he has a thing for our girl Tammy but the poor guy doesn't stand a chance. Tammy just sees him as a friend not even a best friend. He's more mine and Denver's guy friend. Not only that, Tammy tends to hang around with jocks and hockey players more. I'm surprised she isn't the one going after Miles fucking Delaney instead of Lizzie.

I'm trying hard not to even think about the fact that his name dripped off her lips. I want to go straight to him and punch him in the face, yet I do know he isn't even aware he is on Lizzie's radar right now.

"She wasn't feeling great and stayed at home," Lizzie tells him. She's already standing, her shoulder bag hanging off her shoulder and looking damn gorgeous. I can't get over how long and lean her legs look. I'd love to be peeling those jeans down. Shit I'm feeling horny. "Catch up with you two later." Lizzie heads out of the canteen and I watch her ass swaying from side to side, damn she's hot.

"Personally, I think it's more than that. Why don't you tell her already?"

"Are you shitting me? She's my best friend. I don't think about her like that. Eww, Tobes get real." I stand up letting him know this subject is off limits and that I'm done. Besides, I have class to get to then it'll be lunch time.

"Just saying, is all. You know I think she really likes you too. You are perfect for each other and they do say you end up getting together with your best friend."

I swat him on the head. "Don't be such a dick. There's nothing ever going to happen between Lizzie and I. Besides, even if I did like her, which I don't. Not in that way anyway. She sees me only as Brandon her bestie. It'd never work out."

"Yeah, yeah. We'll see." Tobias gets the last word in because I honestly don't want to go further into this topic.

"Catch you later and by the way, say hi to Tammy for me." Tobias nods and goes in the opposite direction to me.

I have no idea what glass he has next, probably something out there like international law or economics. I have English class and I'm an A grade student in that.

Whilst I walk down the corridor to the class room, a couple of girls who I recognize from the cheerleading squad pass me. "Hi Brandon," they drawl in unison. It makes me cringe. "You want to come hang with us tonight." The brunette says. Sandy, Sandra, Sally? Can't recall her name but definitely it begins with an S. I think.

"Thanks Ladies, I've got plans this evening. Studying."

"Oh yeah? We can help you relax some make that studying a whole lot easier for you," the blonde says. And I am thinking why the hell am I not taking them up on a foursome? What is going on with me?
