"Yes dear, of course. Your father and I..." I mewed in amusement.

"How?" The second kit, Horus asked.

"Yes how?" Rush purred as he padded into the den with a freshly caught vole.

"Love," I replied. "Love is all you need. If you have a big enough heart, you will learn that you have room in there to love everyone in the world. And that's what I did. I love your father and Flash... You know little kit," I nodded at my kit, Flash. "you were named after him... And I loved Horus, he was really a great dog,"

Horus squealed at this. "Why did I have to be named after a dog, mum. Of all things, you chose to name me after a dog."

"Yes, a brave dog who saved everyone."

"I'm hungry..." Flash was eyeing the vole.

"Dig in!" Rush mewed. Then he gazed at me with big yellow eyes and twined his tail with mine.
