(Tyler's pov)

[October, 2154]

I came into the link room with Brendon and was placed onto the bed. Jenna stood over me after she put on the restraints.

"Just keep your mouth shut and let Brendon do the talking."

I chuckled and nodded.

"Yes ma'am."

The lid to the link machine closed. Jenna turned to Sam.

"Alright, I'm going in."

Later o, Jenna, Brendon, and I, boarded Hayley's ship and took off for our mission on the outskirts of Omega. This was my first time doing something as an avatar and I was really looking forward to it.

Flying around and seeing so many things was a lot of fun. It felt like I was a bird, or one of those dragons the Omeha fly around on.

When we landed, Jenna told Hayley to shut off the ship because our mission was gonna take a while, so she did. Hayley's assistant was gonna go with us, but Jenna ordered him to stay with the ship.

When we journeyed into the jungle, there were so many things to see, but I was a bit scared that something was gonna pop out.

When I heard the sound of a creature approach us, I quickly aimed my gun at it, but Jenna stopped me.

"They're Omegan monkeys." She said. "They're not aggressive."

She put down my gun.

"Relax marine."

I stayed behind a bit to watch and guard while Brendon stayed close to Jenna.

"So, how will they know we're here?" Brendon asked her.

"I'm sure they're watching us right now." Jenna replied.

We walked into a building near by.

"This was our school." Jenna said. "Now it's just used for storage."

She picked up one of the books.

"The kids were so bright. They learned English faster than I can teach it, and I keep hoping somebody will come back."

"Why won't they come back?" Brendon asked.

"The Omeha, learned as much about us as they needed to."

During the conversation, I stepped outside and saw a dozen holes. It made me curious, so I asked Jenna.

"What happened here?"

Jenna turned to me, looking a bit frustrated.

"Are you gonna help us with this gear? We have a lot of work to do."

I put down my gun and started helping them.

Later on, we traveled deeper into the jungle. Jenna and Brendon decided to take some samples while I watched for any onlookers.

However, I walked a little too far and play around with the Omegan trees. But when I touched a few, a giant creature appeared. I quickly put up my gun.

Jenna and Brendon came over just in time.

"Don't shoot." Jenna said. "You'll piss him off."

"It's already pissed off!" I shouted.

"Tyler, that armor's too thick, trust me."

I stepped away, still tempted to raise my gun.

"It's a territorial threat display." She said. "Do not run, or it'll charge."

"So what do I do? Dance with it?"

"Just, hold your ground."

I obeyed Jenna's order, but I wanted to make it pissed off ever more, so I ran up to it and screamed, scaring him.

I laughed.

"Yeah come on!" I shouted. "Show me watch you got!"

It started stepping back.

"Oh yeah who's bad! That's right! That's what I'm talking about bitch! Get your punk ass back to mommy! Yeah! You got nothing! Keep running and bring back some of your friends!"

Suddenly, I turned around and saw another creature just a vicious as the other one. I aimed my gun at it and turned to Jenna.

"What about this one? Run, don't run? What?"

Jenna saw how vicious the creature was.

"Run! Definitely run!"

Hearing her plea, I took off running to get away from the creature. I ran so quickly that I accidentally dropped my gun.

When I made it to the waterfall, I jumped in and swam ashore, fully getting away from the creature.
