(Tyler's pov)

[December, 2154]

The next morning, Josh and I were sleeping together after we've mated.

Suddenly, Josh awoke to some disturbing noises. He stood up to see a giant bulldozer coming his way. It was starting to knock over some of the sacred trees around him.

Panicking, Josh started shaking me, trying to wake me up.

"Tyler! Tyler wake up!"

Unfortunately, I wasn't logged in my link yet because Jenna wanted me to eat since I was used to my avatar body.

The bulldozer was coming. Josh pulled me out of its way, still yelling and screaming for me to wake up.

Eventually, I woke up to see it myself. I immediately knew it was Watson and his men.

I started waving my hands in the air.

"Hey! Stop! Stop!"

Josh shook me.

"Tyler!"

"Watson stop!"

The man controlling the bulldozer got distracted when he saw me trying to stop him.

"Hey boss?"

Bellion came over.

"What?"

"I got a native in my way. He's blocking my blade."

"Keep going it'll move." Bellion said.

The man didn't act quickly.

"Come on, we have to show them we don't stop."

He pushed the knob forward.

"Come on go go go go."

The bulldozer started moving again.

"Hey! Stop!"

It was moving extremely fast. I pushed Josh out of the way and we started running.

"There see?" Bellion told the man. "He moved."

After getting Josh out safety, I jumped onto the bulldozer and hit the lens multiple times, destroying its view.

However, a soldier spotted me and started shooting at me. I was able to get off the bulldozer and meet up with Josh.

"Tyler!"

"Josh! Come on!"

We made it out in time, but it was too late for the tree. The bulldozer completely destroyed it. Josh started sobbing as he watched.

Tomko and his men came over when it happened. He looked over at me and was infuriated, not because of the bulldozer, but because I had mated with Josh.

Meanwhile, Watson was called over to see the footage, and that's when he saw it was me that destroyed the bulldozer's lens.

"Son of a bitch!" Bellion shouted.

He started walking off in disbelief.

"Unbelievable!"

Watson was enraged by my betrayal.

"Get me a pilot!"

Back at Hometree, Tomko reported the invasion to the chief. He immediately ordered an attack.

"Tomko bude vesty ataku!"

The Omeha cheered as Tomko was praised.

Jenna, who had heard the commotion, came into the crowd.

"Lyudy! Zaspokoysya! Ne roby ts'oho!"

"You do not speak here!" Tomko shouted. "My znyshchymo tsykh dykuniv!"

As the crowd cheered once more, Josh and I arrived to hear what was happening. When I heard Tomko's plan, I became a bit afraid, especially for Josh's life.

I came into the crowd, standing beside Josh.

"Tomko! Don't do this!"

He walked over to me, enraged even more.

"You!"

"Listen, brother-"

He punched me to the ground. Josh pushed him back.

"Tomko stop! Ne shkoduy yomu!"

"You mated with him?!"

"Oh shit." Jenna cried.

Lyubov stood in front of her son.

"Is this true?"

Josh confessed.

"We are mated before Velyka maty. It is done."

Hearing the truth, Tomko became even more enraged than before. I tried to talk him down.

"Brother please! Do not attack the sky people. Many Omeha will die if you do!"

"You are not my brother!"

He came back at me, but I was able to move out of the way.

"Tomko dosyt'!"

I pulled out my knife and threw it to the ground.

"I am not your enemy! The enemy is out there, and they are very powerful!"

During the link, Brendon saw that a helicopter landed at the outpost.

"I can talk to them!"

"No more talk!" Tomko shouted; running to attack me again.

"Tomko!"

He slashed me with his knife, but I overpowered him and threw him to the ground.

"I am Omeha. I am one of you. And I have the right to speak!"

Still wanting to kill me, Tomko resisted.

"Ya buv zakokhanyy u Dzhoshua. Vin dav meni metu u zhytti."

I turned to him.

"And I want to give it back."

Meanwhile, Watson and his men busted in. Brendon tried to stop them.

"Sir I'm sorry."

"Move!"

"No! You can't interrupt a link in progress!"

His men started tying down Brendon.

"It's very dangerous!"

Watson stopped the link to Jenna's avatar, causing her avatar body to fall unconscious. Josh ran to her side.

"Jenna!"

I immediately what was happening.

"Oh no!"

"Wait! Stop!" Brendon cried.

"Stay down sir!"

Watson came over to my avatar and stopped the link. My avatar body fell to the ground.

Tomko placed his knife over my throat.

"Tsya dyka zviryna zradyla nas! My zaplatymo yoho zhyttyam!"

Josh pushed him out of the way, protecting my avatar body from him.

Unfortunately, it was too late for me. I opened my tube to see what really was going on.

"Are you out of your goddamn mind?!"

"You crossed line kid."

He punched me in the face.

"Get him out of here."

His men came over and tied my up. Jenna got up from her tube to see the problem herself.

"Tyler! What the hell is going on here?!"

Watson took us onto their ship and headed back to base.
