(Tyler's pov)

[October, 2154]

The flight took weeks, but we managed to make it at the beginning of the new month. It felt like an eternity.

During the flight, the staff told us that Omega's atmosphere is extremely dangerous to human inhabitants, and the only way not to get exposed to it is to wear a breathing mask.

When we landed, I was very nervous and I almost puked a few times. If I did, I would probably get an ass kicking. Luckily I didn't.

When the doors open, the adventure began.

We were all pushed out of the ship and we all ran to get in. I was the last one out, and it was hell.

Walking through the yards of aircrafts and having people stare at you was the most shitty thing ever. One person called me new dude but with no legs. He better watch his ass.

Everyone who arrived was told to report to Colonel Watson immediately. It took a while, but I showed up to hear the whole briefing.

John Watson is the head of security and military on Omega. He's the one who runs the aircraft, guns, everything. Make a move on him, you'll be destroyed in one fell swoop.

The meeting took place shortly after everyone arrived.

"You're not in Kansas anymore, you are on Omega, the most dangerous planet in the star system. You were all brought here for a reason, and that is why you need me, because if you go out beyond that fence, any creature or living thing will kill you if you step in it's way."

I rolled in when he started talking about some of the important things about the mission.

"The inhabitants of Omega are known as Omeha." They are savages that will kill you in one second, and it's my job to keep you alive."

He turned and looked at all of us.

"I will not succeed in protecting all of you, but if you obey the rules on Omega and do what you're supposed to do, you will not have to be killed. But the only way to live on Omega is to know the rules."

He began to explain the rules about what to expect and learn while here. It was a long explanation, but I seemed to understand what he wanted from us.

Though I wasn't fully ready, I understood the purposes of this mission, and I think I would succeed.
