(Tyler's pov)

[October, 2154]

When I transferred to my avatar, Josh took me up to one of the highest trees on Hometree. I was so curious of what it was, until I heard Josh make a strange call, which summoned his dragon.

I got a bit terrified, but I held it back.

"Holy shit."

"Do not look in her eye." Josh warned.

He gave his dragon a sweet treat.

"Khoroshyy Xanny." He said to her; petting the dragon's head.

"Who is Xanny?"

"A drakon is not a horse, but when the halo is made, it will fly wherever you choose."

Josh got onto's Xanny's back.

"To become a true hunter of the Omeha, you must choose your own drakon and he shall choose you."

"When?" I asked.

"When you are ready."

Josh took off flying on Xanny. I watched, and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

A few days later, after my link session, I sat down in front of my video camera for my weekly logs.

"Ok. This is Tyler Joseph, and this my 12th video log for October 22nd 2154."

I turned to Jenna, who was sitting nearby me.

"Do I really have to do this now?" I asked. "I really need to get some rest."

"No, now." Jenna said. "When it's fresh."

I turned back to the camera.

"My location is svyatyy, and I see now that my days are blurring together. The language is a pain, but it takes repetition to get it down. Learning how to hold a bow is hard too, but I'm getting it little by little."

"Oh really?" Jenna asked.

"Josh calls me vyrodok, which means moron, and so does Brendon, but he's improving a lot."

"I can hear you." Brendon said from his bunk.

"My legs are getting stronger. I can run farther everyday, and I trust my body on what to do. When Josh and I run through the forest, I learn something new about it, but I hope I understand the purpose of loving trees soon."

"It's not just about hand eye coordination out there." Jenna said. "You need to listen to what he says. Try to see the forest through his eyes-"

"Excuse me, this is my video log." I said. "Anyway, with Josh, he says you learn fast or die, and it's tough, but I'm getting better at it, everyday."

"Honestly Tyler, you are getting better at it, and it's something that nobody ever does quickly. I'm very impressed."

I looked back into my camera.

"I even talked Lyubov into letting Jenna into the village. It's the first time she's been there ever since the school was closed down. Jenna tells me about this connection people have with the forest. She talked about, a network of energy that flows through all living things. She says, "all energy is borrowed, and then one day, you have to give it back", I hope I can see that soon."

After I concluded my video log for the day, Jenna helped me get into my bunk for the night, then I'd start a new link tomorrow.
