Chapter 11: Fox Hunt [1K]

POV: Y/n

I saw some horse tracks in the dirt heading away from Mudai's house, I decided to follow the tracks to hunt down Jackal and his men. When I found an offshoot I decided following the secondary path would work for executing every single one of them. After following that path for a few hours, likely walking a few miles, I saw two bandits sitting by a fire and some people lying face down in the dirt. I couldn't make out what the bandits were saying, nor what was wrong with the people lying face down in the dirt, so I walked up to the bandits and stood on the hand of the one closest to me. "Jackal's underlings, right?" I asked as the two bandits looked at me with fear in their eyes.

"Hah?!" The bandit whose hand I was standing on said, "Why you! Ba- bastard! Move your foot!!" As he said that he threw a punch with his free hand. I quickly lifted then lowered my left leg, kicking him in the throat. The bandit stumbled back as his face caved in on itself, causing him to knock away a log on the fire, which illuminated the two people lying on the ground. I could see that they were lifeless, a man and a woman, the man had obvious stab wounds, and the woman, did as well, but she was undressed and facing up, but her hair covered her face. "Ple- please wait a minute." The other bandit said as the first bandit's head exploded, "Jackal's the one that killed that beast, I had nothing to do with it." Then who are those people next to your feet?" I asked pointing to the people on the ground.

The Jackal then turned and saw the people, he stumbled over his words. "UH... ah!" He said, "They wouldn't give us their rations so... hehe... But that doesn't concern you!" "Are you sure?" I said as the Jackal stepped back, "Ple- please spare me." He plead. "Alright, but I will turn you into my messenger." I said before jabbing my index and middle fingers into his temples, causing the Jackal's life to near its end.

POV: Najeda

I was sitting in the conference room, waiting for Y/n to return, seeing as he hasn't returned in three days. "If he doesn't return," I said to myself as I lit a cigarette, "I'll have to send Leone or Lubbock out to get him." "What am I doing Miss Najeda?" Lubbock asked walking into the room carrying a letter, "by the way this is for you. I think it's from someone we know." "Well, let me see what it says." I said taking the letter and reading it. Najeda, I read, I know it's been too long, but I do have news that I think you will find useful. It concerns your man, Y/n, he is fine, his brother on the other hand is not, he died to some bandits, leaving me to look after the children, I plan to send them to the village a few miles away from here. Now, although he never told me who it was who killed his brother, my money's on it being members of the Jackals, so I'd bet he's hunting them down. I have a feeling you already have people after them, so add Y/n to that list. Happy hunting, Andy. "So Y/n has met Andy." I said putting the letter down. "So he's still kicking?" Lubbock said with a laugh "What are we going to do about Y/n, he's been gone for three days now." "Akame will meet him." I responded seeing Lubbock grow a confused expression.

POV: None

In a ruined village, a man, is lying face up, almost dead on the edge of the village. The villagers approached, weapons drawn talking amongst themselves, "Whoa!" the youngest of the villagers said, being only 19, "Look at that ugly mug!" "Musta been one hell of a villain!" another man said pointing his spear at him, "Or a regular Imperial." "Either way," came a voice from the crowd, "we can't let him recover. Let's finish him off, just to be sure." "Okay commander!" the other villagers said as they all readied their spears. "One, Two!" The commander said, "And Three!" as he said that all of the men stabbed at the man on the ground.

When the spears reached the ground, the man had disappeared. As the villagers questioned what happened, a voice interrupted them from above, "What was that?!" The voice said, revealing the man originally on the ground above them, still in the same position as when he was on the ground, "Saying me, Master Fox, is a monster?! DIE!" As Fox said that, curved blades, resembling that of a sycle, protruded from his wrists before he moved his arms, decapitating every one of the villagers that surrounded him, as screams were heard from inside the remains of the village. A second later, silence, as three bandits came running back out. "Hyu~~" Fox said landing on the ground as the headless corpses fell. "Choto Chihaiken! [Fist of the Flying Blade with Back to the Ground] Hey! No one should be left! Gather all the rations! The sun's going down, get to work!"

POV: Akame

The sun had gone down when I watched Fox and his men slaughter the town. These people didn't deserve this, I thought, but their deaths were unavoidable. I saw Fox's men walk into the village, and Fox walk away, I could hear him speak, giving me an excuse to let him live slightly longer. "Phew... hehe," He said walking out of my sight, "I always feel the need to piss after I kill people." I'll get his minions, I thought sneaking towards the other bandits, they may cause problems later on.

I saw two of the three standing by a small pile of corpses, the third had walked inside. I stood up and walked towards the two. "Hey, looks like we forgot one." One of the two bandits said as the other faced me. "This one's a looker," the other bandit said as they walked towards me, "we'll have some fun with her later." "Eliminate." I said unsheathing Murasame and dashed forward, slitting the throats of both of the bandits. "Uh-oh." Said the third bandit, running away from me as I gave chase. "FOOOXX! WE HAVE A blech." I managed to send Murasame through the bandits throat, killing him before he could warn Fox could be alerted.

POV: Fox

I was taking a piss on one of the dead punks we killed when I heard my name, causing me to look away from the wall I was facing. "FOOOXX! WE HAVE A" came a voice before it was cut off completely. I turned around to see what happened, "Huh?" I said turning my neck, "What do you want!" I then heard a tapping from the wall causing my attention to be redirected. "What the hell?!" I said to myself before a hand emerged from the wall in front of me. As I screamed the hand grabbed me and pulled me in.

POV: Akame

After killing the bandit, I made it toward Fox and saw him turning to face a wall. "What the hell?!" He said as a hand emerged from the wall Fox was facing. Hearing Fox scream, the hand closed around his forehead before pulling him in. I heard another scream before words that peaked my curiosity. "AAAAHHHH!" Fox screamed, "IT'S YOU!" I couldn't hear what was being said, but later on in the conversation, Fox was dragged through the stone wall, revealing Y/n on the other side.

POV: Y/n

After I had pulled Fox through the wall, he spoke while holding his throat which was used to break the wall. "Bastard... that huurt!" Fox sad as he charged at me with two sycle-like blades from the top of his wrists. "ATA!" I shouted elbowing him in the face. Fox stumbled backward, blood spurting from his nose and oozing out his mouth. Fox then fell on his hands and knees "Le-... let's forget about this!" Fox said bowing down before me, "I have no intention of opposing you! Here, I'm not pulling your leg! I don't wanna fight you! I won't ask you to spare my life for free. In return for your kindness I'll tell you where Jackal and his band are." "Weren't you Jackal's right hand man?" I asked stepping back, aware of what he was trying to do. "Ah!" Fox said as Akame started walking up behind him, "Don't be ridiculous, I'm no body part of his! I only stick with him because it's easier to live that way. We both use each other and the Empire!"

"And to live," I said cracking my knuckles, "you kill innocent people without mercy." "he-, hey... wait up!" Fox said in a panic, "Tha- that guy! Don't you want to know where Jackal's hiding?" "I've got no problem with making you confess by force." I said scaring him. "He- hey! I told you I don't want to fight you!" Fox said before falling on the ground lying face up. "Here look, it's the truth! Say! You... you don't intend to kill a defenseless man like me right?" "Your death has been warranted," Akame said walking up as I went to lift a large stone to kill Fox, "so you will die." "Be careful Akame, he's not as cowardly as he seems." I said lifting the stone above my head and turning around. I saw Akame go to pierce Fox's skull, but when she jabbed, Fox disappeared. "AKAME GET DOWN!" I shouted running at her and tackling her to the ground.

Blood was sprayed on the ground after I had tackled Akame, "Are you alright?" I asked wincing in pain, "The Choto Chihaiken, it's a dirty technique that captures the enemy off guard. That's his kung fu." "I'm fine," Akame said in shock, "I guess I should have paid more attention. I didn't sense any killing intent from him." "That's because I learned how to kill without feeling." Fox said as Akame and I stood up, "I never care who I kill." "Akame, let me handle him." I said walking towards him, "I'll let you know if I need backup."

Okay, so this book, finally hit 1k reads, which I find amazing with it being my third book to reach 1k, that means folk like this, also the racer in me ain't gonna be happy if I don't do this. Ahem, THREE FER DALE! I'm not apologizing. Anyhow, I still ain't gotten any guesses as to what the next arc will be, so I'll just explain the arc. It's a trip through the 2017 movie Logan, which is my favorite movie. In this arc, Akame dies in the final battle with Esdeath, ain't sayin' why, I have good reasons, but if I give off too much, it won't go well, so tattletales are over, for now. If y'all want it, wait maybe a month and this arc will finish.

Until  next time, God bless y'all and good luck with life.
